Been trying some of the fragrances from the JL
Nishane - disappointed - strong, harsh which I wasn't expecting. The reviews on Fragrantica made me think it's going to be incredible. Might be better as a mist over than straight on wrist.
Same with Crivelli Astrale - my god I though Vanilla poudre had staying ability. This is one of those you mist and walk into incredible strong with incredible projection. Very cinnamon.
The Malle Carnal flower is very green tuberose - it's ok, not sure it's a keeper nor did it last that long.

I do like the EM iris but I've already got one and it gave me a headache so I'll try that again at some point. I don't like the Jo loves and the AdP, cologne isn't my thing.

At the moment I can't try anything else as the Crivelli is still holding it's own after a shower and multiple hand washes. Also 3 of them are dabbers with no spray. The BDK, Malle and Replica.

It’s fairly unusual to see a BAC sell out in September though (gone are the days when CB used to sell out in launch day!). Makes me wonder whether we will see others sell out earlier this year.

Of course it might be partly due to the unpopularity of Space NK this year, which was the favourite by a mile last year.

that will be me out! It's too expensive - i can buy myself smashing LV perfume instead.

I will also be out if the Selfridges FAC is £350. I was even questioning whether I really needed it at the £250 mark as I have the Harrods fragrance calendar and recently bought the Liberty scent kit, although I have sold half of that.
The main draw of the Selfridges calendar for me is the Ex Nihilo LIP.

I wouldnt be massively surprised if the SFAC is that expensive. I don't know how early they set the price, but I'm sure it would still sell out even at that price point. It would be nice if they confirmed it so we can decide in advance whether to stress about trying to buy it or not though.

I can’t get over people listing the SFAC on EBay without knowing the price it will retail for, or if they will even get hold of one 😐

I had a few of the scents id bought off one of the fb selling groups. I wasnt impressed tbh
Planning with Crystal had a video on them and liked them but no longevity on me. Too weak.

Thanks @IlovePond @Thelifeofawife @BeanNaGealai and @pinkchampagne1 It’s been long haul and a long way to go but much more positive now and in the right direction. I’m really enjoying the distractions of nice things (I should be more sensible but meh!). We all deserve lovely things 🥰🤣

Just to note, obviously I impose-bought the Sentier having no prior knowledge of it, but I’m really excited about it. I am worried my nose isn’t sophisticated enough to appreciate it but Mildred told me that was hogwash.

I know, this baffles me too, do they have bots set up and that's how they know? Or are they similar to Isabelle and have a personal shopper situation set up. Surely though, they can't order 5?! I wish they'd just announce the price so the rumours can stop.

I really can’t get my head around it. I also don’t understand why they aren’t giving us any idea of the price before the calendar is released. We knew in advance what price the Harrods FAC would be but the Selfridges one is a big mystery 🥺

In my head, I’ve already checked out of the SFAC. I have plenty of scents including the HFAC and JLFAC. If it was £250 I would probably go for it due to FOMO, but for £350 it’s a no. Plus I’ll be working and phones are banned in school now. I’m quite relieved; I think I’d rather get the F&M as an extra, or the Fenwicks (if it reappears).

Same. I am not prepared to pay above £250 as I already have the Harrods one so really don’t need it. It is the Ex Nihilo drawing me in but if the calendar is priced too high I will look out for it on Vinted. I wish they would give us some idea of the price before they release it

I assumed it was people who worked at Selfridges who’d managed to get them, but maybe not. Seems insane to list something that you have no guarantee of getting!

I was quite tempted by Avant after liking a couple of their products in last year’s boxes so will be interested how you find it!

We’ll find out on 8th October! But why on earth would Selfridges price it higher than Harrods?! 😂 It’s their first-ever fragrance advent calendar, so surely they’ll want to come out swinging and steal the crown from Harrods! 👀💅

I've seen a lot of people saying that they've had £225 confirmed to them. Someone might be saying £350 to put others off.

I've been hell bent on getting the Selfridges FAC since they announced it but with the length of time it's taken to confirm the release date and the fact we still don't know the price, I'm beginning to be over it. Ive already got HFAC and the JL one and I've bought a few perfumes from Vinted from calendars I'm not getting so I'm beginning to give serious consideration to getting F&M instead. It's a lot of money to drop on something that would mostly be a blind buy for me, although that's less of an issue as I'm easily pleased with fragrances.
