Looks like oh MY cream have delayed the release of their BAC to the 10th October. I’m glad they notified customers about it but I am impatient and hate waiting for anything.

@Beautyfox - my sister’s was the same - 75% full. When she complained about this and the short date, Liberty sent her one of their £5 specials, (which was full and has another year before expiry).

Ooh, I went to one of their shops in Paris, it was v nice :-)

I feel a message to CS coming on. I need to put some time aside to go through my advents properly.

I love them almost as much as beauty.

@HolaLolla @Realtnamara I suppose if they allow that much liquid it’s not massively more. What’s the worst that could happen, would then charge a bit more in fees, or would the whole thing be confiscated?

My mystery Harrods parcel arrived this morning. It was a replacement of the Nars eyeshadow stick that I’d complained about; for which I already received a partial refund! Win-win

when my friend kindly sent over the Harrods scent seeker tote bag at her local post office, it was smooth sailing. But I was crossing my fingers for several days.lol

@Thelifeofawife @Realtnamara not sure how DPD would deal with contents being over allowance, but heard stories of RM destroying packages with perfume in it 😬

Wow really? I can’t believe they are allowed to do that, rather than give people chance to pay an extra fee, surely they can’t damage/destroy other peoples property?!…well that said, it’s RM, they can probably do whatever the heck they like

Just bought JL candle advent, I love aery candles and heard good stuff here about Voluspa but they are quite pricy. I was giving strong hints to my partner about it but he flat out said he isn't thinking about buying me anything yet... so like Miley says I can buy myself candles.At around 8 quid per candle its a bargain for someone like me who loves candle.I have managed to melt the bottom pane of our TV with an anthropologie candle so I am banned from lighting one in the lounge...but come autumn it will be candles galore en mi casa.

It says on their website that they'll either return to sender or destroy. I'm guessing they only destroy if it's way over and if they can't identify the sender.

I think it is because they are considered ‘hazardous’ goods 🙈 my question is do they really destroy them or does someone actually gets to take them home 😂

I guess if it is in their t&c then they can destroy it! I assume an extra fee wouldn’t really work as something like a Gucci shipment of perfumes etc would have commercial insurance by the retailer/brand against fire risk.

The fairy was selling for £210- don’t know if they still are.

If I win the lottery this weekend (which I haven't entered 😂) I shall be buying this. I even have the perfect spot for the advent cabinet.

I’m amazed at how popular the FACs are. Makes me wonder how much fragrance people are wearing. One Harrods fragrance calendar would probably last me a decade if I liked everything in it!

I’m deliberately not looking at the contents of the boots k beauty calendar as I know I’ll probably be tempted, and I still have stuff from last years Stylevana calendar that I haven’t used!

I love reading PPs’ descriptions of perfumes, but I’ve lost most of my sense of smell, so no point my buying a FAC 😾

I watched a Space NK unboxing video, and I actually think that it looks a lot better unboxed. There are lots of useful products in there.

I’ve started replenishing perfume in the afternoon to try and use it up a bit quicker.

I got HN last year and then got the SNK FAC when it was reduced. Kind of sorry I got it as, while I like a lot of the perfumes, it’s an awful lot to have. I got the HFAC this year because of FOMO and have ordered the BT which has a fair bit of perfume.

But yeah, I think I will be using them up until I die. I’m in my 60’s so that’s probably 2 or 3 decades based on family history.

I don’t really rate the Boots K-beauty one. There are 4 sheet masks which is really just filler. Some lovely things too but the 4 masks makes it a definite no for me. I think the skincare one is much better.

Did anyone get an email with a liberty survey with a chance to win the advent calendar? I didn't have time yesterday but when I opened it today it said it has closed. That's a bit odd. I wanted to give feedback on why I decided not to buy it.

My LF BAC has arrived. Now it lives in the spare room with Harrods, SNK and Boots skincare.
Have bought Fugazzi Cloudh Nine from the Sephora AC, once it arrives im going to start filling the empty drawers that i sold bits from. From all 4 AC, Im only replacing 7 items, which isnt much tbh.

Despite breaking poor Mildred’s spirit to the point where she’s actively encouraging me to buy another BAC, I haven’t. I really enjoyed considering each calendar, scrutinising the contents and the excitement of it all, I think it’s that that I want rather than another calendar!
I’m trying to come up with a plan for using and enjoying the new products I’ll be getting, rather than saving them ‘for best’. I will have more than enough of most categories so I can take the most nonsensical approach every month - only use pink products in January, green in February, that sort of thing. It might help to give me ‘permission’ to use something that I would otherwise save for best until it expired.

My Boots x Style Korean calendar has arrived. I love K beauty and there’s lots that I have been wanting to try. My daughter and her boyfriend love a sheet mask so I always pass them on. I never seem to get around to using them.

Yeah, I’m also guilty of having bought both HN and SNK fragrance calendars reduced last year. I really shouldn’t have, as I’d already bought Harrods, but the discounts were too tempting! I’m quite fussy with fragrance, so ended up selling quite a few that I didn’t like, but I still have far too many! Oh well, we’ll be the best smelling residents in the care home… 😂

Glad to hear that the K beauty has 4 sheet masks. That would definitely put me off! Sheet masks are always DoDs for me.

Maybe we should all chip in and have it on a timeshare basis 🤣🤣
