I am in liberty this Friday. Will check it out. A sheer brown i could consider.

Browns are amazing on warm skin tones. I’m neutral so it’s hit and miss if I can pull it off. I was hunting around my forgotten about make up bag earlier and remembered the Lisa Eldridge lipstick in the shade painterly which was in an advent last year 😍 it’s listed as a mauve/brown shade. I bought two off vinted at the time, which was handy as I have lost the first one. I have taken the back up out to use as it was a favourite.

I completely agree with you @Doglover73 about dripfeeding and spoilers. When PureSeoul released their blackhead squeezer as a teaser reveal, I realised that I wasn’t going to get very excited about the rest. (Tbf, the tool was good if you would use it, but I am scared of LEDS!)

@Floopsy - that would be brilliant!

@TracyBeakerSoYeah - I would have been ok about it if JL had just put a message on their website explaining what had happened and letting us know if there would be any more. Maintaining radio silence is never a good thing for a company to do.

Has anyone had a Baobab candle , if so any good . The advent calendar looks stunning but expensive . Not a brand I’ve heard of .

No but I love the look of it too. I did buy my MIL a set of hand wash and hand lotion for Xmas once. It was in a beautiful glass design with pump tops. Pricey but lovely.

There was a candle in the fortnums advent a couple of years ago- was lovely.

It was a big hit with my DH, (although the teeny crackers in their own doors were hilariously tiny!)

A few of us eyeing up the byredo... my brain is saying what the hell are you thinking £650! But another part of my brain is saying 'want it'.

Fortunately for me, I can admire the idea of the Byredo whilst loathing ALL the scents, so I am completely safe from temptation!

I have signed up to be notified if the JLFAC reappears. Having said that, I have no idea what any of the perfumes smell like. I can imagine a situation whereby I would hate all/almost all of them, so why do I still want it?

On second look the Byredo is a bit bal d'afrique heavy and relies on their top 4 well known scents -I'd prefer some variety. Maybe I am safe after all.

Walked past Sephora on Oxford Street today, a mountain of 40 or more advent calendars in the window! Meanwhile still waiting for despatch of my preorder 😡

Hi just checked my John Lewis account, I ordered the fragrance calendar on the 1st then got an out of stock notification and they would send it when back in stock. Now it’s showing it’s been dispatched. Not sure if there is anyone else who ordered and had out of stock notification.

I ordered JLFAC on 1/9 and it arrived a couple of days later.

I also got mine, I ordered for pick up at my Waitrose and it was available the next day.

Nice blue and red box @IlovePond and easy to hide.

@IlovePond hopefully people will get them. I plan on seeing what is suitable for Xmas presents for my sons and husband and see what to keep for myself. It feels nice to have some nice perfumes, some that would probably be too expensive for me.

Yeah, what’s with all this nonsense of “reveals”?! I’m bored of it. It’s not in the least exciting. Complete nonsense.
Just show the entire AC and be done with it! At some of these prices, customers want to get a clear idea of what they are spending their money on.
I also dislike the ‘countdown’ offers where the discount % gets lower from the point of starting an offer. Ridiculous.
