I can’t work out why eBay works so much better for some people than others. I’ve been selling stuff on eBay for over 20 years but when it first occurred to me to sell skincare & cosmetics thanks to you lot, none of the beauty items I listed got a single view (let alone offer!) for weeks. When I stuck them on Vinted for the same price they were sold within 24 hours. I’d much rather use eBay but that’s been my experience every time since!

Hi my year seems to be getting worse. Tried turning left in a car park and trying to get pass a parked car and a car wanted to turn right and I managed to scrape the parked car. Have had to report it to mobility insurance and leave a note with my details. I know it’s my fault and I feel like I’m a bad driver. My son also told me the other day that he has been having problems with his mental health and I feel like a bad parent. I’m worried about him

@8books I agree the Harrods one is so much less exciting looking, but I bought it because it has some great skincare products.
On the other hand, the Liberty box is so beautiful and just the sort of thing I want to have out during the Christmas period, but I am less excited by a lot of the content.

So I have made myself a super calendar (which yes I am aware means it cost over £500 🙈) by taking all the good stuff from the Harrods calendar and putting it into the Liberty calendar to replace all the rubbish bits in there.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but I thought the No7 Pro Artist 12 Days of Luxe Calendar was pretty good value at £45. I went in store to check out the range the other day and thought it looked very nice. It stacked with a 10% off voucher code + £5 extra points code that I had on my boots card account + free delivery. So by my reckoning, its cost me £35 (so less than £3 per item).

In their T&Cs they say Selling a large number of cosmetic items or items from the beauty category.

As with many of their rules they don't specify what 'large' means so it could mean anything from more than 2 items per week to 500 per week. Who knows?

This was my experience as well and I have also been on eBay over 20 years, have nearly 1,000 positive feedback (bar one which is why I got annoyed with eBay and decided to try Vinted!). I’ve basically migrated over to Vinted now save for the odd item.

Tbf the eBay algorithm is a mystery to me. I can have no one look at my items for 2-3 weeks, and then suddenly I’ll sell 10 items in 1 week and be constantly backwards and forwards to the post office!

I do also list things cheaper on eBay than Vinted, as on Vinted everyone expects to make an offer, so you have to hike the price.

@Ilovecats127 - so sorry to hear about your troubles. Your son has felt able to confide in you - that is one positive to take from it all. Can you persuade him to see his GP or access some counselling? (Or make him an appointment- depending on age?)

@Ilovecats127 im so sorry you are having a crap time . I’ve done this with my car several years ago it’s so miserable but it can happen to us all . It all got sorted bit if a hike in premium of course but no real harm done in the big scheme of things . I hope your son is ok , I have three kids my son is my eldest and he joined the marines 10 years ago and it was a miserable time . He is out the other side now mentally and like others have said it’s a good thing he can talk to you . Sometimes all you can do is listen and be there . It’s not an easy job this mothering malarkey . A lot of posters have a lot going on this is a good place to wallow in the beauty love , expensive 🤦🏻‍♀️ but definitely comes under the title self care 🩷🩷🩷

Miss Boux’s Sephora unboxing… I wasn’t going to get this but I caved less than an hour after launch…such willpower! Just wish it arrive now.

I've noticed that all the unboxings I've seen and mine, which has arrived early on, have the same variations where there's a product variation. I'm a teeny bit disappointed because the yellow SDJ body wash is the 1 of 3 I was hoping not to get as I'm not keen on that one and would have loved the purple or pink one.

So it seems if you were hoping for alt variations they may be in the later batches sent out. Of course if anyone does want a yellow one and doesn't get it then I'm up for a swap!

I want the yellow one, so would be up for swapping if I get the other 2! Still waiting for the calendar to arrive, ordered on the 8th.

waiting for LFFAC impatiently too - I want the credit to put towards the BAC if it’s still in stock. I’ve inexplicably started to be drawn to Vogue as well. I like the jewellery but so many DOD I know it’s not worth it. I’d never use the teeny purse and it has the blooming CT light wand thingy (which totally devalues the calendar in my eyes) plus the theramed cooling thing that I don’t need but could maybe sell. It’ll be a toss up between Vogue and importing BT, I think. Need to do some serious analysis and decide if I go for more skin or lifestyle.

I’ve bought a few bits off Vinted from other BACs, I totted it up last night and I’ve spent £80 on 3 things from SpaceNK BAC, these were low prices. They were the main things I wanted, yet I’m still considering buying the BAC 🙈😅
I bought the Burberry lipstick from the Selfridges BAC as well.

@DidILeaveTheGasOn Don’t forget to keep an eye on Look Fantastic for the SDJ Delicia - they often have discounts (I’ve got 1 bottle in use and 2 in my stash as I get one whenever I’m buying something else on offer).

Thanks @OvaHere. Glad you managed to get yours. I suspect whatever SDJ i get will be swiped from my shower by DD2 before I get a look in. Shame as I quite like those body washes. The purple one in SNK last year was lovely before it mysteriously disappeared!

So I had a trip to meadowhall today and did a naughty thing. I now have buyers remorse even though I was thinking about buying it for a few days. I even bought the mario palette on vinted yesterday to try to stop myself from buying it 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm now trying to upload onto vinted to stop me (and my credit card company) from freaking out!

@Ilovecats127 if it makes you feel any better (I'm not really sure why it would, but people say that 🤣), I hit a bus yesterday 🙈 it stopped at a bus stop and I went to overtake it and clipped the corner of it. Bus is fine, my car is scratched. Feel gutted as I saved for so long and spent about 7 months waiting for my perfect car to come up. I rarely drive these days as I WFH and only popped out to do my sister a favour. It was a double decker too, how the heck did I not see it properly?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Luckily none of the passengers felt a thing and there wasn't anything on the bus so the driver said he wasn't going to report it so I just need to drive around with scratches now 😔 it made a right bang though and I'm quite jumpy, it took a while for me to calm down.

OMG how awful. It’s a stroke of luck that the bus driver didn’t make an issue over it, saves so much additional hassle and worry.
I had a crash when my car was just a few weeks old, my first ever brand new car, one I’d been daydreaming about for so long. It wasn’t my fault, but still devastating nonetheless. The driver asked if I was okay and all I could say was “I’ve only had it a few weeks!”
It never felt the same after that (not helped by it being in the garage way longer than necessary), but I still love her 🩷

In other news, I nipped to Lidl after work and randomly sniffed a perfume (they had some sample bottles on display which caught my eye) and I really like it. 75ml for £3.75! 😅 I think it might be a dupe of one my friend wears as it smells so familiar.
