Are these shoes fashionable again?

Ballerinas are supposedly in again. I have these shoes from around 2010-2013, are they wearable again? I have them in a few colours, I used to find them very comfortable. I know I can wear what I want but I want to be vaguely fashionable. Are they fashionable again or can you clearly see that they are 15 year old shoes?

I quite like those. With a winter palette they’d look good.

I found them at the back of my wardrobe. I guess they survived multiple culls because they are comfortable and still in a good shape 🤷‍♀️

I've never stopped wearing ballerinas since the early 1980s 🫣. Soft ones though; can't say I like those- sorry.

I think they're wearable if you want them to be, but not fashionable.

The ballerinas that are fashionable at the moment are more feminine / rounder toed and have a little bow on them. Then the next option is Mary Jane’s which are more chunky or loafers, some of which have square toes but the ballerinas tend to be more rounded from what I’ve seen “new in” online everywhere.

I'm flicking through my elderly mothers Hotter catalogue and even their ballet flats are nicer than the ones you've linked op, sorry.

They are definitely not “in”, but if you like them wear them! Life would be very boring if we all liked the same things and dressed the same.

Oh dear. I honestly didn’t think they were that bad, I thought they were pretty standard ballerinas with a slightly squared shape. I guess I’ll buy new ones. Thanks @Sparrowsandbudgies for the practical tips!

If it helps this is a more current shape and style op. Forget the price point, look more at the fact they are softer, rounder, more feminine. It’s ballerinas brought up to date, not just the old ones back in style. Although, kindly, I’m not sure those ones were ever really in fashion.

howver no one will be looking at your feet askance, and if you like them wear them, but additionally no one will think gosh they are current. The style dates them to be old shoes.

If somethings comfy, it fits and I like it then I wear it. I don’t care what’s fashionable or what other people think. Life’s too short. Wear the ugly shoes!

My student DDs who are very cool wear ballet flats now so I will assume they are fashionable. But yes maybe a slight update from the ones you have - a bit like how jean styles change a bit, so can shoes to look a little more current. The me & em ones listed are nice but I’m sure there are cheaper ones out there if you can’t drop over £200 on a pair.

They'd actually be okay if plain, ie minus the big round plastic thing. I prefer square toe to pointed (gucci do a lot of square toe pumps). I think defo treat yourself to a new pair though 😊

I still have an orange leather pair I bought from Jones in 2008. I used to commute and walk around London in them and remember getting blisters.
I can't see them making a big comeback.

I wear all shoes all the time and have around 300 pairs of differing styles. I have never stopped wearing ballet flats. Love repetto and Ballerette the most, French and Italian brands. But I am also happy w Hobbs. Wear what you love!
