Got the two Holland & Barrett advent calendars for my mum and sister this morning: thanks very much to whoever put the beauty detective link up yesterday near the end of the last thread, which let me know it would be today. Checked email and app after midnight and at 7.30, then checked the app just after 9 and still nothing. Then found email from 8.36am with the link - so for once I managed not to miss it - it’s a bit of a long-running saga in my family as they stopped being available in Ireland after Brexit and my family are there. Anyway good luck to everyone with all the expensive glamorous BACs 🎄🍀❤️

Oh wow I can’t believe I have just bought Cult Beauty. The extra 20% off plus the £20 voucher makes this an absolute steal . I will have to sell off the makeup as no interest in this but the skincare looks amazing. And compared with SpaceNk it was almost £100 cheaper, Bargain

I’ve been lurking and I am SO tempted by the CB signature edition (as it can be shipped to me and I prefer it over the special edition) with the discount code. But it’s not a calendar I was excited about so have managed to restrain myself.. it’s still a lot of money for me even at £195. I’m waiting for k-beauty drops. Sitting on my hands…

I have just looked through the CB contents list and realised it is only the Medik8 moisturiser, Sunday Riley serum, Angels Share perfume and maybe the other posh serum that excites me. Most of the make up isn’t for me, I don’t really use setting sprays and have enough primers. So am going to try to resist the urge to buy because of a code. I do not need it! 🥺

Re Cult Beauty, also sitting on my hands. The makeup shades aren’t for me at all, and I don’t use setting sprays.

Is it possible that they could cancel orders if they realise that the code is an error?

I fed the spreadsheet with my stash in to chatgpt. It talked me out of buying anything other than the HFAC but did suggest curating a diy one with some "carefully selected purchases" to fill the gaps in my stash. Although gaps might be an exaggeration, it's more I'm down to 1 or 2 items in a couple of categories.

I succumbed. I had £50 credit too. Thank you very much to the person who shared the offer.
I ordered the £5 perfume samples too - they have the Fugazzi and Kayali from the CB AC so I'll be able to try them first & can sell the AC ones if I don't like them. CB also has samples of the Lola and the Debaser in Bloom which are in other AC's.

It's valid for 12 months it acts as a vouchercode so you can't use it with other codes.

As much as I hate CB, the advent at £195 + £20 voucher is good value compared to the other calendars in the same price range. I need a stock up of all skincare regardless which on its own in value covers the cost, and can never have enough angels share in my collection. Luckily I have a teen who loves an advent, so the make up will be heading into her own franken-advent. Points and voucher will go towards a christmas gift set to fill the other drawers. But on the other hand CB are an awful company that randomly ban accounts/addresses for use of codes/promos and terrible customer service...

Glad everyone's got a CB bargain. I added it to my basket, but I really just don't fancy it. I don't need it either, with buying LF and Harrods yesterday. It's funny how the mention of a discount will make you think twice🙈

I wasn’t going to get CB…..but then spotted the discount code…… so then I succumbed like the dirty beauty fan I am. But then I felt guilt and realised CB wasn’t even on my radar and I can’t buy all the bacs so then hit cancel. 🤣😬🤦‍♀️

Does anyone know if you try and cancel how long it takes for that to process or will I have no chance as they’re down for express delivery? 🤔 I mean if it’s coming, it’s coming and I shall be a big girl about it all…..

I’m very pleased with myself this morning - I bought the Verden magnesium spray from Vinted at a bargain price and it arrived today!

It has gone straight into my DIY FAC - only two more drawers to go!

Just opened my mz skin eye cream from last years Harrods BAC , as was conscious of my stash getting older . Sealed box , opened the sticker and the jar fell out with the white plastic disc OUTSIDE the jar. Opened up to find this . Would you contact them ? 🥲😬

Oh dear @diamondsandrose that’s awful - obviously someone at the warehouse decided to give it a poke!

I would contact Harrods CS as a matter of principle, but 8 months on I don’t expect they will be interested. (You won’t know unless you contact them, though!)

As it’s been opened and tampered with, I don’t think it’s safe to use 😿

Edited to say: If the seal was intact, then the tampering probably happened at MZ Skin - I would contact them as well - just to let them know how disappointed and disgusted you are!

It’s completely solid so don’t think it’s been poked. The white sealer disc is loose in its box 🥲

I got a mini in a cb box Superfoods brand kale and something moisturiser, opened it and it was a solid disc inside and that wasn't old either. Not sure you'll get much luck but worth a try.

Arghh bloody CB code!! Have reordered with the code. Couldn't cancel my first order, so will have to pay the return fee or sell on, but worth it for the saving!!
