Morning! Not been here yet this year as I absolutely love the summer and couldn't cope with the idea of Christmas until September turned up 😫

What better way to get over it than ordering my BAC which I did this morning! Gone GRUUM for this year as I've been really enjoying their products recently, especially the home fragrance stuff. I thought it'd be good for the variety as I don't really need any products as use Tret and have loads of makeup.

I had Boots make-up calendar last year and M&S previous year which were both disappointing and didn't want a repeat of those. Rituals again looks crap value for money - shame as I've had them in the past and love their stuff.

Oh, how annoying. If I'd been less impatient I could have used the code. Oh well, so be it - I might try and sell some of the make-up anyway so I'll get a bit of cash back that way.

I'm due my second mid October (my first was a planned c section) and have now bought CB and Harrods Beauty and Fragrance calendars as a treat for the winter months! I also bought loads last year with no other reason than I love beauty products.....but just having a few this year is making me feel restrained!

Oh wow! I've just gone to cancel my CB AC to reorder with the discount code, but it already has it on there. I added the medik8 set yesterday but didn't buy, deleted it today after adding the AC so the code must've still been there. With my credit, I've only paid £150, then take off the voucher, that's £130 😳💃🏻🎊🎉 even more reason to party. I feel that I can buy something else now! That's if the orders don't get cancelled 🙈 Now to spend that £20 voucher 🤭

Congratulations to you as well! Thats so exciting, won’t be long coming around. I felt once I hit single digits in the countdown the last few weeks just disappeared on me. And congrats to you for making it through the diabolical heatwave summer too. I don’t know how we managed that.

Honestly, there’s so much judgement around purchasing things but after pregnancy and the number that does on the mind and body, we deserve things that make us feel human. If that’s is beauty products and smelling amazing, then that’s what it will be.

I had HG and literally thought I was going to die. I’m so depleted now from not being able to eat properly I’m starting my glow up once baby arrives. I’ll have all the expensive lotions and potions thank you! Here’s to feeling no guilt 🥂

No idea why they haven't done a proper reveal. I think it's supposed to be on sale sometime in the next week. We don't have an actual date yet as far as I know.

I thought sephora had revealed 🙈 I'm getting so confused with what reveals we've had and what we're still waiting on. I thought it was just HN we were waiting, which I'm not expecting anytime soon.

So CB automatically applied 20% off for your first order? I’ve thought if they’re difficult about cancelling or refunding I’ll just sell the spare on (not for a mark up!) nearer December as I’m sure the special edition will sell out

We had the leaked reveal but not an official one yet.

I think it's funny that people think Harrods is so good and CB not very good, but then I don't rate AB or Valmont and I don't think eyelash curlers or Temple Spa belong in a high end calendar. The travel sizes in CB are at least things I could and would use for travel - dry shampoo, primer, SPF, and 7.5-10ml is plenty for a perfume in an edit. I'd rather have 50ml dry shampoo than 15ml face cream. The Bioeffect is excellent though so that's a big draw.

Also missed out on the discount but oh well. It's clearly a mistake so I don't feel hard done by. £10 a drawer is excellent value.

I've not bought any. Nothing excites me. Loads of repeats. Im envious of people buying and being excited as I once was but thats what happens when you buy 11ish the previous year 🤣 i sold a lot but have so much left to sort/sell so no point spending money i dont need to. I was hoping to be wowed.
Im doing 2 frankenstein ones so wont miss out on the fun. I still have a full hn fragrance advent from last year, got 2, and 2 space nk fragrance ones, which is why ive not jumped into buying any fragrance ones. Ive sold some but have plenty left. Plus all the fragrance ive collected this past year.
Was having a big sort out but had to put on hold.

Why am I looking at Cult Beauty when I don't want it? I think it's just the code and my £25 credit that's swaying me. I hope everyone that wants it gets it and then they stop the code working so I can stop arguing with myself 😂

I checked my advent wishlist and I had only noted down the Sunday Riley serum. There are definitely other items I'd use and enjoy but only that one thing made my list for buying off Vinted/ebay so I'll take that as a sign not to buy.
There's a lot I already have including all the perfumes except Kayali (*went for a look at the signature edition as soon as I typed that!)

Not sure if it is genuine resistance or my desperation for a Selfridges FAC at an unknown cost but I'm safe for now!

I got the CB special because £50 off (fantastic from @annxie ) and account credit and £20 voucher back and vouchercodes so technically that was £142.50. So fully justified.

Gosh darn it my wafer thin resolve vanished and I bought the CB special edition. And I'm really against it because it has a product from the Ordinary in and they have no place in a blinkin' special edition beauty advent calendar!

Holland and Barrett beauty advent looks quite good (£60) and Neal’s Yard was beautiful last year and is available on pre-order now too (£195 though which is £50 more than last year I think).

Late again but thank you @IlovePond for the thread - I am truly grateful to all those that step up to run this fantastic 'club'! It's way beyond my limited tech abilities, so thank you.
And thank you to whoever flagged up about the 5 samples for £5 on Cultbeauty -I've added those to my advent order and would never have known about them had it not been for these threads.
Also, for anyone going to order, Topcashback don't seem to exclude advents in their T&Cs so worth a try.

No, it's definitely not my first order 🤭 I had been toying with the idea of buying the medik8 edit yesterday, and beauty detective had posted that the code CBAFF took it down to £35. I'd left it sitting in my basket, so when I went to pay for the AC today, I removed the medik8 set not realising the code was still on there. When I applied my credit, it didn't look like there was a big reduction. I was too busy trying to press buy before my meeting started. I even put it on the wrong bank card in my rush 🙈

Had a lovely, long weekend break but I have missed so much!

Oh wow and I just noticed the code -hadn't read the whole thread in my excitement! So have cancelled and reordered and am now praying that don't cancel the whole thing for me!!

I think that's the thing with these calendars, isn't it? It's so subjective 😂 What one person sees as a brilliant inclusion, someone else won't want at all. I actually really like both the Harrods and Cult Beauty calendars. The skincare in the Harrods one is a big draw for me and I don't mind paying the extra £25 when the overall value is so much higher, whereas I can completely see why someone who travels a lot would prefer the Cult Beauty sizes and selection.

I don't think either is necessarily "better" though, it's just about which one has more things that you will actually use. That's half the fun of this thread really, working out which calendars are worth it for each of us 😊

I just got all excited about the DPD notification that my Selfridge's order will be here in the next hour, then remembered I can't open it for 3 months 😂😂
