Just edited above to add link. It’s a well balanced curation with some interesting products in all categories. I’m sorely tempted (as always). Will wait and see what @JoRaRaRa finds out but I suspect the consolidated shipping will be a logistical nightmare! I do have lots of family in Ireland so may have the option of using one of their addresses and pop over to pick it up- but that’s more expensive than address forward shipping once you add in the hold baggage. Has the added (advantage?) Of being able (maybe) to pick up Jo Malone duty free at the airport but that makes it all VERY expensive.

Someone earlier was disappointed at the Jo Malone packaging. I think it’s stunning this year- I hated the dartboard. I’ll see how much I can make on. Vinted over the next couple of weeks.

BT is in the Vogue price point rather than JL. I don’t think they could compete at the price point they’re at.

I have the £15 credit but not the £20 voucher that is supposed to be emailed. I had the obligatory have you checked your email/spam folders response. Very tempted to reply with have you checked YOUR email - it should be simple enough for them to see if it's been sent their end.
Tempted to ignore any further responses for a week and then escalate it/make a fuss/kick ass it seems with CB CS they make you wait a while before anyting is sorted or goes to the 'technical team' which is why I'm suspicious the early responses are bots.

Wow an actual response.. here's hoping the first one turns up and you also get a second one which would be a win. I wouldn't be sending back the second one either, not if its their mistake.

I really shouldn't be allowed on the internet after midnight. I turn into an advent Gremlin.

I bought Boots Luxe and preordered LF Beauty. So I've gone from agonising over the singular CB at the beginning of the week to buying 4 by the end. I was doing so well. 😳

Bear with me though - here's my totally solid justification for this outrageous behaviour

1. I watched Miss Boux's Boots unboxing. Went hunting for stuff on Vinted, did the same thing as with Harrods Beauty where again I realised I'd be racking up close to the cost of the advent buying 5/6 items.
2. I'm doing DS a calendar again (I'm a sucker but he's the only one who appreciates my curation efforts) and there's stuff in those two calendars I could use towards it. Plus the bits of stuff I want.

All words of enablement and post justification welcome. 😂

i travelled back from ireland yesterday so just catching up on all the threads now ….BT does look lush but they did confirm they don’t ship to uk …they do however ship to northern lreland and i was told a release date of 1st oct …im very tempted by it and lucky enough to have relatives address to ship it too ….i can also confirm that you can fit an advent calendar in hand luggage (having brought liberty through last year and fenwicks through this year ) ….the forwarding service idea from NI is a great one ….

I think they could be bots. I contacted them a while back when they did double points. I bought something but the double points didn't get applied. I sent an message with a very clear explanation and screenshots of the issue and the first response was nonsense about how to apply credit at checkout. So either someone with a very poor grasp of English or a bot who just picked up on key words and delivered a pre-set response. It did get resolved eventually but took about a week after waiting for the 'technical team'.

Selfridges have advised that they won’t ship overseas. I am going to have to use a mail forwarder to get one for me.

well done @OvaHere….Heroic move going from 1 to 4 advent calendars in a week ….clearly you have reasoned that buying the calendar was more cost effective than vinted so a sound financial decision there ….

also spent 5mins arguing with chat gbt on the Selfridges FAC …the alert i set up pinged me this morning to say it would be released on september 11th ..i got so excited but then checked its source and it had got it wrong , 11 sept is the jo malone release date …chatgpt has since apologised for its error and for getting my hopes up and gone back to checking the website ….am now pondering a little visit to selfridges to see if i can extract a release date from the staff there

@OvaHere I think the fact that you’re sharing some contents with your DS makes a big difference, you technically only bought 2 for yourself 😇
I had the same thought process last year when I justified buying JL & HN as well as Harrods & SNK - I put a couple of small fragrances, some shower gel and toothpaste in DS’s Christmas stocking 🤣🤣

@Addictedtobeauty was it yourself who has returned a CB BAC? Just wondering what return reason was used for it to go through?

I’ve had a text to say that RM are delivering today, but given that they still tried to deliver yesterday despite me rescheduling and said it would now be next working day, I’ll believe it when I see it.

I also got £15 credit for late delivery. But as I ordered 2 on separate orders, surely I should have gotten compensation for both 😁
Actually now I think about it, I’m sure credit has only been applied for 1 BAC as well…off to investigate

I think it was Jo Malone because of the tartan. To be fair if you don't like tartan I can see the lack of appeal.

DS also headed back to uni today. I sent him off with a stash care package. I really shouldn't worry about accumulating a hair & body stash because apparently a 19 yr old can pan those products at the speed of light.

It was only a few weeks ago I gave him a load and he's used most of it. Same with fragrance. He can use up 100ml of scent in about 2-3 months. How do they do it? Most of the Boots and LF hair stuff is going in his DIY AC.
