@clary I think I have successfully avoided eyelash curlers so far, but maybe you missed this offer from Rainbows?

Unfortunately DD has claimed the eyelash curlers after initially not being interested. Ive palmed off so many beauty products on her in recent years that she usually turns her nose up at anything, things other 12 year olds would kill for, but I've probably over pushed things and put her off. Eyelash curlers she went for however!

Has anyone finished all the items from the calendars from last year? I am using the Votary sensitive resurfacing peel and Shiseido total cream at the moment and my skin is really smooth and feels plumper.

Ive still got things unopened from two and three years ago which is why I'm trying hard to resist buying a BAC this year and just sticking to fragrance calendars. Mind you, Ive just moved house and so have had to come to terms with the size of my perfume stash too!

Itsnouse · 04/09/2026 08:19

IlovePond · 04/09/2026 00:32

@ConstantlyFuriosa - unopened products do indeed go off, (as I have found to my cost!) Companies usually recommend using within 12 months of opening or within three years of manufacture.

Many products will still look and feel fine after three years, but they can deteriorate over time and it depends whether you feel ok about using them.

I don’t bother about the age of shampoo, body wash and conditioner - this stuff seems to last forever! However, I am being much more careful nowadays with skincare and cosmetics.

Apparently perfume goes off too, but I have never bothered about this particularly and I have some quite old fragrances that still seem fine to me.

www.checkfresh.com is a good site for checking date of manufacture of products from many brands.

Edited

I know a MUA who told me make up doesn’t go off, although she said use your common sense and if it looks or smells bad then bin it.
Mind you, she probably gets through things relatively quickly compared to me.

I’ve not long finished the resurfacing peel and I thought it was wonderful. It’s one I would repurchase. Was that in last years Liberty? I thought it was Liberty 2024 but tbh I can’t keep track.

onpills4godsake · 04/09/2026 08:23

Hello ladies- every year you advise me on the one to buy so I am hoping you wise people can point me in the right direction.

budget (preferably under Β£300)

loved space nk last year and also got M&S (didn’t rate) asos and glossy box - but would prefer lots of large sized products - not too bothered about hair products

Nomorechocs · 04/09/2026 08:25

Selfridges calendar has arrived! Last one I ordered from the 6, first one to arrive!

IlovePond · 04/09/2026 08:27

@ConstantlyFuriosa I feel your pain! I am loyal to a few EL products that I use all the time and like to stock up on. Unfortunately, I hadn’t been keeping track of when I bought extras and had just been using the first ones that sprung to hand.

I used CheckFresh and found I had several EL serums, lip balms and moisturisers that were 4-5 years old, whereas the identical stuff I was currently using was 12 months old πŸ™€ (You do NOT want to know how old the eye makeup remover was!)

I was really angry with myself as it all had to go in the bin - what a waste!

I really wish skincare/makeup here had expiry dates on like South Korean products.

@clary I have eyelash curlers in my Harrods calendar that you are welcome to

IlovePond · 04/09/2026 08:31

Did someone say the JL Fragrance calendar was back in stock?

I just looked and couldn't see it. Think you have to be a beauty member which I'm not.

They won't sell out all these BACs - JL had them in store well in to November last year.

IlovePond · 04/09/2026 08:40

Ah @IDontHateRainbows - BAC - yes, I can see that in my Rewards but don’t want it.

I will keep watching to see if the FAC comes back into stock.

JoRaRaRa · 04/09/2026 07:34

@pinkchampagne1 I'm really having to fight the urge to open all the Harrods fragrances, especially those that I've not smelt before. I plan to start opening mine next month so it's not long to wait, but still too long 🀣

It’s hard not to open all the boxes and give them all a sniff, isn’t it? I have sniffed one - the Oud For Greatness in day 2. Think that one might be more for DH.

IDontHateRainbows · 04/09/2026 08:47

JoRaRaRa · 04/09/2026 07:54

You bought yours with the code too... Has yours left CB now?

Yes it's with Royal Mail supposedly for delivery today but the posties around here are wusses in the rain and sometimes don't complete all their rounds due to inclement weather (hmmm the other couriers seem to cope?)

IDontHateRainbows · 04/09/2026 08:49

Still no sign of my Β£20 voucher, has anyone who didn't get this straight away had luck with CS, or had it come a bit later. It's SUCH a hassle to email cusotmer services and get around 5 fob off replies (probably intentional to make you give up) I'm not sure I can bear to go through it again after last time. But for Β£20....

IDontHateRainbows · 04/09/2026 08:51

Now tried the pomegranoudh and it's a yes. It is reminiscent of blackberry oud, a bit stronger/fruitier maybe which is all good with me. It took me a while to get into these fruity oud scents, didn't like them at first but then it's like something switched in my nose and I did.

FannybygaslightinGovan · 04/09/2026 08:52

@TreesinthePark that's really good of you ❀️ I'd love a copy of the spreadsheet too when it's done 😊

IDontKnowWhatYouMean · 04/09/2026 08:53

@TreesinthePark I’m also interested in the list please πŸ™

RosyPosy11 · 04/09/2026 08:55

Contacted LF as I’m away next week and didn’t want to miss any deliveries. Ordered both calendars. This was their response

Dispatch will begin from 22 September.

As each Advent Calendar is carefully packed before dispatch, there may be occasional delays during this process.

Please rest assured that we’re working to ensure all Advent Calendars reach customers before 1 December.

Trying not to read too much into that last sentence 😳

IDontHateRainbows · 04/09/2026 08:57

Very naughty of LF not to state that despatch would be delayed for 3 weeks. I'm actually away that weekend too. Someone will be home to get it, but they should be upfront about it.

Annamarieboo · 04/09/2026 09:01

Did anyone pop into Harrods yesterday. Any news on the FAC stock in store?

TreesinthePark · 04/09/2026 09:05

Morning everyone, I'll be sending out a version 2 of the list today/tomorrow morning. There are several usernames to add since list 1 went out yesterday. I'll go back through the posts to make sure I haven't missed anyone.
Very happy to help as its something I can do. I can't manage setting up the threads with all the links that our OPs have done a great job with!

I’m using the Emma Lewisham serum, Sisley toner, Mirror Water and AB eye cream from last years Liberty at the mo and love them all! I’ve also got the votary peel, will add that in!

IlovePond · 04/09/2026 09:06

I watched MissBoux unboxing the Rituals train last night. It’s really pretty, but unlike previous years’ villages, I wouldn’t regard it as reusable and it takes up quite a lot of space.

There are several pitiful doors in there, especially considering it’s Β£172, but some nice stuff too. I shall be keeping an eye out for it after Xmas in the outlets.

I got last year’s wreath for Β£71, (and I had Β£7 TCB credit so really paid Β£64), when it was reduced in the run up to Xmas on another site. I loved it, so if a bargain like that turns up again, I would go for it - Rituals stuff ALWAYS gets used here!

26inprogress · 04/09/2026 09:09

Oh and also I caved and ordered Liberty this morning!! When I relooked at what I’d use and took into account my birthday voucher, reward vouchers and beauty drop credit i decided it was a no brainer. Still have BD credit left and the box is just gorgeous, so much nicer than Harrods imo! Excited to get it now, will no doubt be listing some ( most!) of the perfumes on Vinted if anyone interested, my name is on the list that @TreesintheParkis very kindly pulling together- huge thank you!
