I’ve still got stuff to use from 2024s LF calendar.

Now knowing how products can expire, I’m wondering how many items for sale on places like eBay/vinted are out of date, even if ‘BNWT’.

Not suggesting anyone here would do that, but I could easily list so many things that I’ve had sitting around for a couple of years. I wouldn’t. I’m just musing.

That’s my concern too. I’ve had the odd thing that’s been off or dried up when I came to use it that have come from beauty boxes I’d bought, so easy for someone to sell them on and not know.

@Isabelle70 - I have just started using the AB eye cream from Liberty 25, (love it 🙀), and also the Votary liquid stuff. I don’t like the latter, (awful smell), so I think it’s heading to the bin.

The EMMAL serum is next in line for me to try and I must dig out the Mirror Water as I was excited about this product last Xmas then forgot about it 🙀

I still have a few things to use up from Shiseido 24 and I need to get a move on with those.

I know I grumbled about Shiseido’s tiny sizes back in the day, but I have used up almost all of the contents and really liked them. I have even repurchased a few of the items - eye cream, lipstick and perfume!

I feel the same about Clarins too, on reflection - I wasn’t mad keen on the 2023 12 day calendar at the time, but I seem to have used it all up and liked the lip protector and eye serum a lot.

I think it was from Harrods 25. Unless I have had it since Liberty 24, but I don’t think so as I do manage to use the products over the year.
I wasn’t sure if it was doing anything and then this morning I thought my skin looked really good. I suffer from rosacea so am careful, but very pleased with my face now :)

@Itsnouse and @ConstantlyFuriosa - that is a genuine concern with eBay/Vinted.

I would also say that some private sellers probably aren’t doing it with any ill intentions - lots of people bung stuff on the sites and then it sits there for ages without selling, then suddenly someone wants it.

I had to have a cull of my own listings recently once I discovered CheckFresh. I also wondered why I hadn’t used some of the stuff myself as on second look it was really good 😹

Nowadays, because of date issues, I tend to buy stuff from eBay/Vinted at the time stuff is appearing in calendars and only from sellers who have other products from the same calendars. This worked out well last year and I got some bargains.

I’m using the Emma Lewisham serum, the Votary not retinol serum (mine doesn’t smell) and the eye cream. All lovely products. At the time I said I would not use the EL as I thought it was vit C but I forgot about that and I have not reacted to it at all. All from last years Liberty.

Mmm @Itsnouse - I think my Votary has gone off, then because it has a very unpleasant smell. Annoying, as I only started using it recently !

Re annoyed at not using stuff. I’ve had some Christophe Robin scalp scrub hanging around for ages and thought - ah, I won’t use that. But tried it recently - the sea salt one - and it’s amazing.

I wonder how many other things I’ve got laying around that are just as amazing. I’m pretty sure there is an Augustus Badiner eye cream somewhere.

@ConstantlyFuriosa - the CR salt scrub - from an M&S calendar - was one of the things I put on eBay at the time. It didn’t sell so I started using it and WOW! I have repurchased it too.

It’s brilliant isn’t it? I’ve been getting some itchiness and it makes it go away. And your head feels so clean and fresh.

I was the same! I threw away the cr scalp scrub a few years, I tried it once and decided I didn't like it, then I received it again in Harrods ac last year and everyone on the Harrods opening thread was raving about it, so I gave it another go and loved it. I've repurchased it since 🤣

None in sight.

The CR scalp scrub is now one of my ‘finds’ from beauty boxes. So, so good.

I now have FOMO for the salt scrub!

Asos BAC live now for Asos.World members. Not one for me but I think others are after it. I like how they've listed the contents in categories rather than by size / value. It makes me see how everything can be used which I think is very useful!

I was actually organised and put some stuff I don't want from Harrods on Vinted yesterday. Not much I didn't want. £12 for CT lipstick too dark for me and £22 for Montale fragrance. Both went in about an hour.

My Selfridges BAC is due later. Good timing as DP is off on a week away with friends this afternoon, so I can add it to my 'advent corner' and sit gloating over my pile like a beauty obsessed dragon 💄🐉

Underwhelmed by the ASOS one. Still dithering about Harrods, Elle or John Lewis. I’m liking the Foreo device in the JL one.

Harrods FAC arrived! Have a meeting in 15 mins so no time to look at it properly now unfortunately.

Mine too, although DPD didn't knock or ring the bell, just dumped it on the doorstep and ran. The time slot had passed so I clicked on the tracking and it showed the delivery photo, which was the first I knew about it.

They did that to me yesterday too, luckily it wasn’t raining!!
