Chanel ballet flats, in a deep burgundy color with black toes. I had bought cheaper versions, and worn through them, too many times. So I decided to buy what I REALLY wanted, having heard that they last and last. I took them straight to the cobbler to have soles put on, as I plan on taking good care of them, so they last for years.
I just look at my feet and smile. They are beautiful.

@k1233, those cups are GORGEOUS. They would bring me joy each day. You have lovely taste.

Erborian CC cream - the green, colour-correcting one for redness.
I have slight rosacea and wish I’d known about this much earlier! So good for evening out my complexion. Only need a tiny bit.

searchforthesun · 02/09/2026 06:26

@MurphysColeslawI got them in a Levi’s shop but they are available online, I’ve linked them earlier in the thread. I really recommend them.

Tymo curl pro plus - an amazing hair curler. Makes giving yourself a home blow dry a piece of cake! Quick, safe and lovely curls.

Hi @itsmeagainagain yes the Fitflops are the Iqushion ones.

Another good buy I remembered is the Dock & Bay folding tote bags. Lovely prints, useful for the beach and pool and can be put in the washing machine. I’ve stained so many canvas totes over the years, and these ones have been a game changer.

GameOfJones · 02/09/2026 08:47

I second FitFlop iQushions. I have awkward feet (half size, need arch support) and these are amazingly comfortable and look really good.

I think I'm also going to buy another pair for indoor use as I've ended up wearing them around the house!

A big bottle of perfume from Ormonde Jayne so I don't feel I have to ration it like the small ones.

A toffee coloured vintage silk and wool loop knit shrug cardigan thing from Marni (I think late 90's/early 00's from the label)

A big order of new socks from Uniqlo to replace all my ratty old ones with holes in (not very exciting but I love new socks)

A bottle of Garnier micellar water which is even less exciting but it was on my list anyway and then when I got to Boots it was half price 😀

That garnier micellar water brings me out in spots…. And several friends say the same!

The mini pears from the Aldi fruit and veg weekly offers. They are lovely and were a bargain.

Now this is the sort of post I like! Others talk about buying bags, shoes, perfume & makeup that’s more than my monthly food shop & energy bills combined,I’ll try these pears! Thank you xx

The best present ever a new (to us) cat!

Oodie cooling pyjama bottoms (40% off at the time) The cuffed ones are fine but I absolutely love the wide legged ones and may buy more in the current sale before they disappear

Tinytotdriver · 02/09/2026 13:49

These dresses (from Pretty Little Thing but I got them on Debenhams). They look and feel so much heavier and more substantial than I thought, and are soooo flattering. I was really impressed, they look lovely and expensive on.

E45 Hydrocell Glow Serum. Really good. Easy to use - it's a spray and a little goes a long way. Pricey but buy it wherever has it discounted, which is in store at Superdrug currently.

Thanks @mixingplaydoh I’ve been eyeing those up for while

The Ordinary Argireline serum. Used morning and night it smooths out fine lines like magic. It's really light weight and moisturising and about £10 a bottle.

Ruthietuthie · 03/09/2026 13:14

@SocksAndTheCity, that's a really lovely list. I am particularly envying your Marni cardigan. Sounds beautiful. What a good find!

Isn’t hair mascara for touching up roots or adding in highlights? A different use to hair spray?

I remember the hair mascara of the 90s which we used to give temporary highlights 😁

Some very flattering comfortable barrel leg trousers from Boden. I thought they would look awful but I am so happy with them!!!

Similar for me. I finally tried on a pair of barrel leg jeans and to my great surprise they are some of the most flattering jeans I have ever worn. They are from a shop here in the US and are sold out or I would link, but I think the reason they work do well for me is that they are fairly thick and so hold the barrel shape well; they are not an exaggerated barrel, and I have long legs and they hit right above my ankle.

It smooths down flyaway hair. I use the Champo one.

Do you use a moisturise as well? Or this in its own, thanks.

Marc Jacob’s tote bag in taupe (second hand on eBay)
I have the same one in black which I bought in John Lewis sale a couple of years ago
I just fancied a change of colour for the summer and it was a huge bargain

Erborian CC cream, decided to give it a whirl after seeing it on here and I’m a convert. I don’t wear make up but this gives you a lovely glow and feels lovely ☺️

I bought on a recent visit to UK .. just glorious.
i also went to Paris and bought a Chloe Marnie handbag .. its tan and just so beautiful. I love the logo is so discreet and it wears like a dream the leather is such brilliant quality. Most expensive bag I have ever bought but I love it!

Oh wonderful ! I have awful feet so I expect they would be uncomfortable but so love they give you such enjoyment.

This Works Perfect Legs Body Butter. Magically transforms scaly legs to lovely smooth skin in one application.

I bought some of the Sleep body butter from M and S.. it’s utterly brilliant and probably cheaper than “This Works”
