As promised, here is the new thread.

@ScottishMouse Glad you’re going to try it , and I’m thinking how much more useful it would be for me ; feel cold all the time, don’t wear half my wardrobe as too smart, social events mainly casual daytime , than the olive Soeur jacket which won’t be warm enough post November…

That is also lovely @OftenOrange but like you say, a different kind of jacket for a different kind of day.

PrincessofWills · 13/10/2026 23:07

Just to report back - I went to Kilver Court today and bought a fabulous mens jumpsuit/boilersuit in olive which looks great belted and this which is lovely.Quantity1
Cotton Linen Poplin Sleeveless Top | Raven Blue
Raven Blue / 14

There were quite a few archive pieces - loads of menswear at good prices too. There were a couple of other things now I'm home I wish I'd bought . . .

MiracleToast · 14/10/2026 09:55

@PrincessofWills Oh I have been hoping that boiler suit would appear in the sale! Great that you found it. What is sizing like?

PrincessofWills · 14/10/2026 10:00

@MiracleToastI bought the men's small, I'm a Toast size 14 normally, usually buy womens 14 or medium. It's long in the body so will wear with a belt (I'm a long in the body 5ft 6in). It was £65 😃

IlovePond · 14/10/2026 10:43

@triggers34 I returned something once when a Kindred gift was included and when I asked CS, they told me not to bother returning the gift.

Since then - as I felt guilty - I have made sure to buy something I definitely won’t return in order to qualify for the Kindred gift.

In the past I have bought - on separate occasions:

a napkin x 2 - I use them as hair ties
an enamel plate x 2 - surprisingly useful, btw
a bauble
a pair of socks

I’ve got a skirt in my basket it’s over £200 , I know I’ll definitely return it, I just want to check which size to grab in the sale . I’ll have a look at their cheaper things @IlovePond

Gelsomino · 14/10/2026 13:02

I really dont think anyone should fret about the Kindred gift
Its included in your membership so I would order freely
I do remember those awful clown pictures
I sent them back and they kept sending them to me 😅

MiracleToast · 14/10/2026 13:09

@PrincessofWills Wow, thank you! I might give them a call to see if they have any more x

faustina · 14/10/2026 13:17

The clown print is the thing I sent back too! 😹

ScottishMouse · 14/10/2026 14:54

Ha ha, I sent the clown print back too!

IlovePond · 14/10/2026 15:53

I’m still haunted by those terrible circus prints. I rang CS to ask if they wanted mine back as I was returning my whole order and the rep had to stifle a snort of laughter.

Unsurprisingly, the answer was ‘No, please keep it!’

i’m just watching Youth on Now, Harriet Walter’s character in episode 2 is wearing that jacket. It looks good.

mizu · 14/10/2026 17:31

@MsDastardley oh ALL the clothes in Youth - well mainly what Sharon Horgan wears - are wonderful!

Countmeout · 14/10/2026 17:49

Reworn drop .

MsDastardley · 14/10/2026 18:13

@mizu the clothes are great. Sharon Horgan always has fab stuff.

ScallopShellWalk · 14/10/2026 19:27

Thanks @Countmeout I ended up buying a few things to at least try.
A green A line denim skirt, just what I’ve been looking for.
I bought black ankle boots, I’ve had my eye out for boots.
A navy cashmere jumper, I’ve been looking for one and at £37 I thought I’d give it a try.
A long sleeved nighty, hope it’s not cold.
A blue cable tank from last winter that I admired.
Quite excited. Tho if the condition isn’t right I may send back. Still, I had fun.
Anyone else find some things to try?

ShanghaiDiva · 14/10/2026 19:53

@ScallopShellWalk - yes me! Trousers, cashmere jumper, two shirts and some mittens for Dd.

ScottishMouse · 14/10/2026 20:05

That's a decent reworn drop, best selection of sizes in quite a while. I saw a few things I liked but all in the wrong size sadly. Hope others find some great bargains.

@OftenOrange I tried the jacket on my way home from work. It isn't for me. The colour just doesn't suit me, although I love it. Also, I think I would struggle to wear it that often as it is really quite thick and warm, and I run warm most of the time.
I also tried the olive mohair jumper. Love the shape, but again the colour isn't good for me. I also found the neck to be a little bulky.
I did buy the grey wrap cardigan though. They only had a size up from the one I tried previously, and I think I like it better a little oversized. I'm going to make it earn its keep as even with the voucher I had it was still pretty pricey. I think it will be versatile though, and it's my favourite colour for knitwear.

ScallopShellWalk · 14/10/2026 20:19

@ShanghaiDiva oooh glad you got some nice things. I hope your Dd likes the mittens.
I went back in and bought a dress I’ve always liked but never thought seriously of buying but on reworn it’s worth a try. It’s the previous summers blue cotton linen collared button through dress. Very lovely. I always buy too much though. Now I’m less happy. Something hopefully will go back.

@ScottishMouse I’m glad you found something to spend your voucher on. That is a very lovely wrap. I hope it works for you.

mizu · 14/10/2026 20:32

Almost bought the houndstooth wide leg trousers, then was distracted and they were gone. A better selection this time though for sure.

It’s making me think about a possible sample again at KC. They usually do one around Oct/Nov. @IlovePond what do we think?

OftenOrange · 14/10/2026 23:08

@MsDastardley Now I’m going to have to join hbo that series looks just what I need , and I really want to see Harriet Walter in the jacket !

@ScottishMouse The grey cardigan is lovely and great that you know it will get lots of wear.
My Toast knitwear all gets worn loads, as I said I’m a chilly person .

faustina · 15/10/2026 09:51

Oh - I missed the reworn drop!! I have just ordered something (hopefully) nice from the JW Anderson X Uniqlo though. The colours are very limited but they have a really nice short but boxy lambswool cardigan with pockets

https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/products/E487515-000/00?colorDisplayCode=16&sizeDisplayCode=003.

ScallopShellWalk · 15/10/2026 12:09

@faustina the cardi looks nice.

faustina · 15/10/2026 13:28

Hope so @ScallopShellWalk. One benefit of buying mostly Toast is that everything else seems like a bargain! I wonder if you'll all get Kindred gifts with your reworn parcels?
