@OftenOrange i know vinted can be terrible but I’ve been really lucky to have had no personal issues so far apart from as a buyer, but it’s been reimbursed/discounted to my satisfaction. I’m readying to put a few more toast things up soon which always sell quickly and help shift things I’ve been trying to sell for a while by way of algorithm

oh @hicat I used to buy Engel stuff for mine! They were so cute and delicious in it!

Another Toast order winging its way back this morning :( I have a voucher from an early summer birthday and I still haven’t managed to spend it, which is very unusual.
The cotton twill cropped jacket is really good, but I am between sizes. But guess what…the arms on the one I ordered are about 1.5” different in length 🤦‍♀️
I am also between sizes in the donegal striped tank. The M is very neat but the armholes on the L are too big. But guess what…the front panels on the L differ in width by almost an inch 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
Finally, the wool alpaca knitted wrap I tried before and really thought would be a keeper. But guess what….The front ties are at different heights, which is fine if you want to tie it wrapped, but not if you want to tie it just at the front 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
I’m not sure if I can be bothered reordering this, all these things are just putting me off bothering. Maybe I will spend my voucher on some homeware instead.
I think I am going to apply for a job in Toast quality control. 🤣

@ScottishMouse those at odd measurements are putting me off too. ☹️
Did anything you ordered not have this fault?

Honestly @ScallopShellWalk I sound like I am insanely fussy, and I will admit that I notice flaws others might not, but I do not think these flaws should be happening at these prices. I ordered two sizes in the jacket and the tank and didn’t check both sizes of each carefully, but I notice immediately if a sleeve feels or looks longer on one side, or if a side seam feels further forward or back than the other side, and then I measure/check, and my sense is usually correct.

@ScallopShellWalk I think this is a longstanding issue with Toast and not one I have particularly noticed with other brands. I find it really frustrating, especially as it is not difficult to solve.

I’m starting to feel though that I should leave this lovely friendly corner of the internet as I becoming a Toast hater more than a Toast lover these days.

@ScottishMouse I find what you have to say useful. You still seem to like toast yet have frustrations.

@ScottishMouse I def appreciate hearing your experiences as it happens to me too, and a weird part of my brain takes it personally so it’s good to hear I’m not alone.

Hey everyone, has anyone got the wide leg twill indigo trousers and washed them? Mine have come out of the machine and have patches where the dye has come out.

@ScottishMouse please don't go - all reviews, good and bad, are very useful

@hicat your coat (except for the cat hair) sounds beautiful and as it's for wrapping round baby hicat too then it counts as essential equipment and you can't possibly overspend on that 😁

My cotton linen cardigan is really earning its keep and is proving so useful - I'd forgotten how much I love the slate colour.

@ScottishMouse - you are quite right to call out Toast’s sometimes shoddy quality control.

@Trinitybean - have you tried washing them again to get a more even colour loss/redistribution?

I would send some pictures to Toast CS!

@ScottishMouse @IlovePond thank you! I'm so glad you shared your disppointment with Toast quality. I love them, but they've upset me very much with their response about my trousers, basically said send them back for inspection and they no longer offer a replacement or refund. I won't be buying anything else.

@Trinitybean what? They said send them back for inspection but they won’t be giving you anything in return? That’s shocking service. No refund or replacement? What’s happening?

thanks @ScallopShellWalk Sorry I'm having a day! read it again and they want me to return them for inspection, meanwhile, if I'm lucky they'll let me buy them again with free postage! they no longer offer a replacement or exchange service. They said once they get them back they'll review next steps. :-) I don't fancy re buying them.

Mmm @Trinitybean - have they at least sent a free returns label?

Or, if you send them back to Toast as they have suggested, once they have ‘inspected’ them, then ask again for a refund.

@Trinitybean they should refund on inspection.
I wouldn’t buy them again either. Clearly an issue that might happen again. I don’t know any customer service worth its salt not to consider a refund after inspection. I hope they refund you. I’d ask for a refund.

@Trinitybean that is very frustrating. I can’t imagine they won’t refund you, but stressful to have to worry about it nonetheless. Are you near a store at all? I would bring them back in person if so, I think you would get a better response.

@Trinitybean - that is rubbish. I had to send something back 'for inspection' once, and it pissed me off too. I can't remember if I got a replacement or a refund that time, but whatever it was I asked for, it did happen. Take photos before you send back though and say it's not fit for purpose. Fingers crossed for you!

Thanks for the advice, it's like they know that I won't stop buying stuff! I think it's their wording that was so annoying. I'm not going to buy them again as yes the same thing may happen. I sent them pics with my first message. :-)
