Has anyone got the striped Donegal tank? I saw it on Graham St on Instagram and was very taken with it, although I think I tried it earlier in the season and wasn’t sure. I wonder if it is worth another try. I have decided against the new wrap cardi as I think I wouldn’t wear a deep v in cold weather, and though I have almost enough knitwear, it’s mostly a little safe and boring and I would like to add one more interesting piece of knitwear to my wardrobe.

I havent got it though I tried it
Very coarse wool and one of those thicker garments where if it was cold enough to wear I would want sleeves as well
I get very cold arms though 😊

ScottishMouse · 06/10/2026 20:17

Thanks @Gelsomino the thick coarse wool and lack of sleeves doesn’t worry me too much. I may try it again at some point.

That’s a shocking pattern cutting issue @ScottishMouse ! They charge too much to be so lax.

I have my fingers crossed. Toast is doing a popup in the Northern Quarter of Manchester. I wonder if this means they are considering opening a branch there? There is a huge gap in coverage for those of us in the NW - Harrogate is my nearest and is too far away!

A long long time ago there was a Toast concession in Selfridges in Manchester.
was in the Brighton shop last year and one of the staff told me that there had been a plan that had been shelved (possibly due to Covid) for a Manchester shop, and that Manchester was top of the list for a new store if one was to be opened - of course she may just have been telling me what I hoped to hear!

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 06/10/2026 21:44

My Solstice stripe flannel nightshirt, ordered on the first day of the new drop, is delayed due to supplier issues, hopefully available next week.

I did get some nice new green sheepskin slippers at 20% off from Celtic at the weekend, and they arrived promptly yesterday.

Saurus72 · 08/10/2026 13:43

Ooohhhh, my mulberry Blundstone boots just arrived and they’re just lovely! Rugged-ish but I could definitely also wear them in town. Can’t wait to wear them now.

mizu · 08/10/2026 15:34

@Saurus72 could we have a pic of them on? I’ve got a pair of the Lugg Blundstones and wondering this year if they are too heavy’s

Saurus72 · 08/10/2026 16:19

Here you go - I’ve been wearing them in the house since they arrived and it seems like they’re going to be v comfy.

Those look very nice @Saurus72. I have a Chelsea boot shaped hole in my footwear collection and those look very tempting.

Does the colour have a bit of a purplish hue? It’s difficult to tell from the photos on the Toast website.

I keep telling myself that this year will be the year I will finally start wearing my Ecco lace up boots, which are at least 4 years old now. But in reality I just want something that’s easy to put on!

Saurus72 · 08/10/2026 17:10

Yes @ShadowViolet a subtle berry tint which was the appeal tbh. I’d been looking for a pair for ages and couldn’t get excited about plain black, these are perfect for me.

MsDastardley · 08/10/2026 19:18

@Saurus72 I meant to tag you into a post about the Finisterre Blundstone’s. I ordered the brown lace up but have returned as they were way too big. What’s the sizing like on yours? Other than that they were lovely boots. The Mulberry looks great.

Saurus72 · 08/10/2026 19:54

@MsDastardley Ah that’s a shame, are you order the next size down?

Mine are ‘classics’ - I’m size 6 and the size 6 was spot on. I’ll be able to wear a normal sock, not a thick woolly sock atm but maybe they’ll relax and stretch a bit as I wear them in.

I’ve bought a few pairs of boots recently which are all nice but these are just sublime, can’t wait to wear them 🙂

faustina · 08/10/2026 20:25

@Saurus72 - they are really beautiful in a non shouty way

MsDastardley · 08/10/2026 21:54

@Saurus72 I think I might try the Chelsea boot style 😁

BettinaInDenmark · 09/10/2026 10:11

Blundstone's - I love them. I have several pairs, and they work for everything. Work, going out, walking, gardening... And they are sturdy and keep well.

ScallopShellWalk · 09/10/2026 15:17

I had a nosey on reworn and opened an item to see better. A few hours later I received a Chosen For You email from toast suggesting an item they think I might like - the reworn trousers 🤔😆 AI sales technique? It can’t be serious sending me a reworn item! I hope I don’t get one of these emails every time I look at something. Anyone else receiving them.

IlovePond · 10/10/2026 21:23

@CakeAndJazz - as promised, here is a picture of the bandana. It is a lot more muted in real life than it looks here.

I don’t need a coat but just popping on to say there is a beautiful Oska cocoon coat on eBay , similar to the current Toast one some of you were admiring .

triggers34 · 11/10/2026 16:38

faustina · 11/10/2026 20:01

That is a beautiful coat @triggers34 !

triggers34 · 11/10/2026 20:10

Isn’t it , I’m sitting on my hands 😂 someone’s just offered so it won’t be there long !

hicat · 11/10/2026 21:25

I saw the conservatoire coat I’d been admiring had run out in my size but got a back in stock notification. I’ve managed to sell stuff and earn half the money for it so far so went ahead and bought it… I needed ti downsize so will sell more things when back from holiday and raise the rest!

Funny you were all talking about checking every item received, I went over the jacket with a fine toothed comb (not literally) and all I found was a cat hair. Obvs it’s done the rounds with people trying it on, which leaves me feeling worried there’s a flaw I haven’t seen! But it wraps around me and my baby carrier beautifully so it’s a keeper. I really don’t want to find a flaw now I’ve decided to keep it! Managed to get my mum to “buy it” for me so I could get her 10% new customer discount. Hopefully that’s not immoral! Maybe everything’s immoral in retail…

OftenOrange · 11/10/2026 22:56

:;;That’s a very happy story @hicat , enjoy the beautiful coat and 👏for the 10%
I haven’t had much luck selling on EBay recently but I love when things do sell and may have another go.

OftenOrange · 11/10/2026 23:02

I’m so disappointed in my recent parcel, the twisted seam cord trousers are ridiculously short on me. The hem does look long for once but lengthening a new garment isn’t going to happen .I probably wouldn’t have kept them as they really need a waist length jumper which I’d find limiting.
I also ordered the anthracite (black) Annie cords which are keepers , it’s a style that I have several of including fawn cords last year
I really want a change though …….

mizu · 12/10/2026 07:08

@hicat great news! It’s still on my list but who knows if I’ll ever actually buy it.

hicat · 12/10/2026 07:34

@mizu i have to say, I love it. I mean I wish it hadn’t arrived with pet hair on it but maybe that makes the discount fairer! We’re on our first holiday in the cairngorms right now and it’s so delicious wrapping the coat around me and baby.

on a side note, I’ve found the most toast-like baby wear so far. A German family company called Engel that do organic merino wool pram suits and silk/merino bonnets etc. We got some things for hill walks. If anyone ever has a new family member to celebrate! (They can be expensive but resell for high prices too, which imho is the best review of quality). My partner says she looks like a little lord of the rings baby in the adventure wear heh
