I totally agree with @ScottishMouse and am also hoping for a decent jacket.

I popped into the Dering St branch yesterday as I was in London. Staff were lovely. I just had a good feel of the new range’s fabrics - lovely! Not ready to spend a load yet after lots of summer travels. I have bought the long sleeved navy jersey top though, a winter staple.

@MsDastardley I just received the Amy Powney trousers and they’re ‘interesting’.

There’s much more fabric than I was expecting around the upper leg. The fabric is also not as drape-y as the website description suggests, so lots of volume.

But I like them. They remind me a little of Dutch agricultural trousers, if that means anything. Length wise they’re great, but I’m 5’10” and long limbed, so not sure how these would look on anyone significantly shorter than me.

Thanks for the tip off @ScottishMouse. I’d never even heard of Finisterre (I live a sheltered life…) Always excited to find somewhere that does trousers that fit me!

@ShadowViolet glad the trousers work for you. I’m 5’6” but have fairly short legs so probably a no for me. I’ve just ordered a pair of Toast barrel cords as I know those will be ok. I really wanted to keep the twill pull on trousers, but the crotch is just too low for me.

The black linen toast trousers I ordered arrived and I like them a lot. I should just have bought them at the start. Slightly long but not as much as I thought, a couple inches. Very pleased.
