@ToastSafeFromMothsAndDogs thank you for that information, that is positive. I hope you’re enjoying it. I like wearing this kind of thing but mainly at home, then again I spend most of my time at home and enjoying wearing nice clothes these days more and more.

@IlovePond an update would be interesting. Though not for me to buy, I’m sitting on my hands for a while now. I hope you have lots of fun.

IlovePond · 22/08/2026 23:32

I will report back @ScallopShellWalk - it’s been slim pickings recently, but we shall see!

Interesting to read about experiences with Celtic knitwear , I had looked at it recently as a couple looked promising. Maybe not.

Possibly the exchange has had its day, there are so many ways to sell now.
I think given the number of small sizes on reworn they are either sale dregs or ex staff uniforms. It’s very disappointing for those who have tickets.

My reworn order is due tomorrow. Pricing is odd. The fig skirt is £43 which is amazing given it is still on the website. Very disappointing @IlovePond about the linen dresses.

IlovePond · 23/08/2026 10:56

I agree @Countmeout -the Exchange used to be so much fun.

I hope your Fig skirt is a keeper.

I am wondering about a knitted dress. I recall @ScottishMouse commenting on a knitted linen dress being nice but I now can’t find the post. @PrincessofWills I saw you had wondered about it too, did you try it? I can’t recall if it had sleeves and can’t seem to find it online. Can anyone tell me if it had sleeves and how it fared after wear.

Hi, yes I bought the dress, but haven't worn it yet. I thought I would try and layer it for autumn winter with a long sleeved t, boots and a scarf.

Beekeeper22 · 23/08/2026 16:51

I suspect that a lot of reworn comes from the modelling shoots- which I think it why there are so many size 6’s? I’ve had two pairs of shoes from there which have both looked brand new. They also seem to have a lot of size 37 shoes!

mizu · 23/08/2026 19:36

Lots of people - including me - hoping the fig skirt is a winner!

ScallopShellWalk · 24/08/2026 09:54

I have a nice full navy cotton skirt on today that I’ve been looking forward to wearing when the temperatures came down. Now I’m remembering that often skirts have me feeling a bit cold or less cosy. I have long socks on today and I do have tights for wearing when it gets colder but I still feel a little cold around my thighs. It had me think of petticoats and I wondered if that would help me feel warmer. I guess I could wear another skirt under or trousers and I’m open to that but I wanted to ask what you do and does anyone know of nice cotton petticoats? Hankering back to the 70s 😁.

MsDastardley · 24/08/2026 11:38

@ScallopShellWalk are you in Scotland? I’m in Manchester and it’s a gorgeous day, so wearing a Toast sleeveless dress. I have definitely had my wear from summer dresses this year.

ScallopShellWalk · 24/08/2026 11:50

Yes, Scotland. 😁 I mean it’s lovely out there now, I might need to go change.

ScallopShellWalk · 24/08/2026 13:04

@MsDastardley I had to go and change, somehow I’m just too hot now. This happened yesterday too. I had a cotton shirt on yesterday and today and I was boiling underneath. I have taken a leaf out of your book and put on a toast sleeveless dress, after trying a linen trouser option, I still feel hot but at least the dress is airy. I really like this one, the navy seersucker dress and I’m really pleased the season hasn’t ended yet where I can wear it.

I bought a red petticoat last year from Rosa blue to extend the wear of one of my summer skirts . It’s quite long but I don’t mind .

@triggers34 thank you. I’ll go have a look. I’ve been looking in various places and Vtd. I’d like a fuller one than I’m finding and think I might have to accept defeat.

ScallopShellWalk · 24/08/2026 16:46

@triggers34 thank you for this, these are exactly what I was looking for. I have ordered a summer and a winter one.

What a great tip, I’m loving the country collection as well as the petticoats .
The sort of thing that makes me want to move to the country 💚

Countmeout · 24/08/2026 19:15

The fig skirt is definitely a keeper at £43. Had I paid £145 I might have thought twice - but it’s a marvellous fit, one of those Toast skirts that lie flat at the waist before the gathers. I really like this style. Quite light material, usual pockets. Length is good on me 5’4” - lower mid calf definitely not as long as last years blue skirt. The slight doubt is the background colour which is described as chalk but has a lemony tinge. IMO a true chalk would have been better but it’s not enough to make me return. The colours in the skirt go with so many of my tops. I may be able to carry it into autumn by putting leggings underneath. Certainly has autumnal colours in it.
I also bought a reworn jumper. Described a carnelian red it’s basically orange. It’s going back. The wool is very scratchy and it’s very fitted at the waist.

ScottishMouse · 24/08/2026 19:26

Ooh @Countmeout i’m intrigued by the jumper you’re sending back. What size is it?

mizu · 24/08/2026 20:12

@triggers34 oh Rosa Blue used to have a little shop near here many years ago. Such lovely things.

Countmeout · 24/08/2026 20:33

It’s an M @ScottishMouse . Quite a neat fit. Will try and post pic of order. Wool and cotton. Quite an old style maybe. It was only £34 and a great warm jumper.

ScottishMouse · 24/08/2026 20:39

That’s a lovely one @Countmeout Probablt too small for me in M if it’s a neat fit though sadly.

triggers34 · 25/08/2026 19:00

@ScallopShellWalkI hope they’re ok 🙂
@OftenOrange shes a lovely lady I follow her on instagram and have 2 skirts (red calico floral ,and red tartan) plus 1 petticoat . I get stopped often when wearing them .
@Countmeoutgood news re fig skirt .

Ive finally worn the linen blue stripe barrels during a brief trip to Edinburgh - love them! now home I’m back to my Tesco shorts!

IlovePond · 25/08/2026 20:56

@Countmeout - glad the skirt worked out!

There’s a sample sale at Llandeilo this weekend but I can’t go - I am not happy 😿

Maybe there will be one of the little sales online too?

ScallopShellWalk · 25/08/2026 21:03

That’s a shame @IlovePond

Saurus72 · 26/08/2026 11:58

Lots of new things added to the website. The Chie Mihara boots are beautiful- and expensive.
