@ScottishMouse I might still. I wanted to wait till autumn to see if they might have them in any other colours, as well seeing what new knitwear I might need for the season. I didn’t want to buy out of season, definitely don’t need knitwear here at the moment.

@ScottishMouse that’s a great description of the Uniqlo bag. Mine’s orange and I love it but also don’t love it 😊

@mizu I think if every other single person I pass when out and about didn’t have it too, I might like it more. But its unexpected capaciousness wins me over every time.
I bought it two years ago to take on a summer holiday as it would pack down easily and I wouldn’t care if it got wrecked or lost. I have used it 90% of days since then.

@ScottishMouse oh I know, the roominess is a dream. I usually swap it over for my burgundy Kate Sheridan tab bag in autumn but that one doesn’t hold half as much.

I’ve got the Uniqlo floral Finnish designer collaboration bag from a couple of years ago and I love it - washes really well too.

Because of its colourway, I only really use it in summer but I have been neglecting it recently in favour of my £20 Kate Sheridan pink bargain. (I can’t believe I almost didn’t buy it in an attempt to be frugal!)

@ScottishMouse today I have my pas de Calais linen indigo culottes on. I so love these, they feel great. Taking the dogs to the garden in the rain had me imagine dreams of Japan. 😁 so I thought I would try capture a photo. Pls excuse my son’s room.

The trousers are a much better length on you than on me and they look lovely with your kantha jacket.
Also the Pla shoes - someone just bought those on reworn, was that you? - they go great with the trousers.

@ScottishMouse thank you 😊 yes I bought the pla mules on reworn, they arrived yesterday, liking them as house shoes. The kantha jacket only started getting worn recently when I realised it made a better house jacket than an outside one. It’s a great weight for inside. These trousers will put a smile on my face all day. I hope it rains all day and lets me stay in Japan.

Rain wanted here too ! It’s even too hot for the lovely linen barrels I ordered !

may I ask what linen trousers you ordered, was it the grey stripe?

Just bought my first pair of gabis on Vinted for £29. Need to try them out and know they get a lot of good reviews on here. Dark charcoal cotton. Hoping to wear to work with shirts. Im a real TOAST dress person at work but am trying to get more into trousers gradually.

I hadn’t noticed when the website changed at Toast. It can’t have been that long ago surely.

@triggers34 I have those trousers and I love them.

Just a word of warning: I washed them (on a delicates wash at 30c) and they definitely shrunk in the length by at least a good inch.

Ironing did help get some of that back, but they are a bit more cropped than they were!

Has anyone any experience with raising an issue over something bought on Vinted? I bought a pair of Toast trousers, sold as new without tags and not cheap. They were a replacement for a pair I already have in a smaller size. They arrived with pilling on the legs (ok, minimal, but clearly not new), but worse than that, with used tissues in the pocket. Definitely not new. I have raised a case with Vinted, but this sort of thing stresses me out no end and I’m wondering if Vinted are usually on the side of the seller or buyer? Thanks.

@ScottishMouse I raised a problem and returned something that was not the size it said and had makeup marks on it so did not seem unused, though granted the marks could have been someone trying it on in the shop. It was the size that was the problem. Vtd were helpful after I returned and the seller dragged out confirming it had been received back ok. Though the seller didn’t complain about anything either. I had no issues with Vinted, I’m pleased to say, they processed the refund which didn’t happen automatically. I did receive a few aggressive messages from the seller though while it was winging its way back.

Your experience sounds really disappointing.
Are you returning them.

Thanks @ScallopShellWalk, hopefully it will be straightforward. Just so annoying and an unnecessary stress. Also a bit disappointing as I was looking forward to the trousers.

@ScottishMouse I don’t know if it’s possible to get a partial refund from the seller? Or have you sent them back?

@ScottishMouse Buying something nice like clothes is intended to be joyful. I too felt stressed by the return process. It didn’t help that I was receiving abuse. However, in the end I thought the worst is I lose my money and it didn’t seem quite so bad then. I wasn’t going to get beaten up. 🤔

I’ve already arranged to send them back @ScallopShellWalk The seller didn’t respond to my complaint except to accept the return through Vinted. Hopefully they will issue the refund without bother too.
