Thank you, I'm currently using a sample of this eye cream, it's really nice 🥰 I didn't know it cost that much though.

OvaHere · 22/07/2026 08:10

I've got £10 off £60 on skincare and the Shiseido eye cream sample.

I think I'd rather sell things on that I know I won't like then have it sat in a drawer. I tend to sell on vit c products as it tends to irritate my skin apart from the medik8 serum. I don't see the point in keeping it til it goes rancid, when I can sell it, I get a bit of money back and someone else gets a bargain 🥰

I’ve had the shiseido eye cream - I was going to do an order with JL anyway so pleased with that. My money off rewards JL remain terrible!
my CB sali edit as arrived, really pleased with it. However unimpressed on behalf of those who have had the cancellation debacle. It’s not good at all. I do think future popular edits should be limited to one per person.

ClutteredPalace · 22/07/2026 08:43

Sticking my oar in on the subject of resellers, I hate seeing it start to happen in the beauty world. I've been into Pokemon for over twenty years, used to enjoy collecting cards with my DS and that has been destroyed by scalpers. It's near impossible to collect them now. I've no objection to people selling stuff they won't use, I do object to people buying purely for the purpose of reselling. Making money by ripping people off shouldn't be a business model imo.

Beautyfox · 22/07/2026 08:47

I suppose the way to deal with mass resellers/scalpers is to not buy from them at inflated prices. If they don’t have demand then there would be no point in doing it.

I think it's hard to say now what will be very popular. The Sali Hughes edit is a bit of a one off, most of the edits haven't sold that fast in the last couple of years. Quite a few of them hang around and end up with 25-30% off.

LF sent me an email this morning begging me to buy the New Season edit with 30% off.

I thought the CB 90s make up edit would be very popular as we seem to be having a slight 90s revival, but it's still available a week later. I suppose people are less likely to buy more than one of a make up edit for personal use though.

The ease of using Vinted to target specific items might have something to do with it combined with cost of living. I'm going to try and pick up the lip liner from yesterdays LF edit on Vinted because even for me buying a whole edit for a lip liner is daft.

I'm actually quite grateful people do sell the bits of kits they dont want for the very reason that you've said. I was able to pick up a couple of the scents I didn't get from the Libery kit cheaply, and if people are selling bits you recognise from a kit or AC at least you know they're genuine products.

pinkchampagne1 · 22/07/2026 09:19

I have had an email to say my CB edit has been shipped. I was fully expecting the cancellation email.

I don’t buy edits and calendars to sell on and I get annoyed with the resellers who buy multiples of the Harrods FAC to sell at an inflated price. However, like others have said, it is rare I like absolutely everything in an edit or calendar so I will sell on the few items that I won’t use. Sometimes I give them to my friend at work for her 17 year old daughter who especially loves bronzers and tanning products.

SheilaFentiman · 22/07/2026 09:29

I think the fact there was so much good stuff in it counted against it, almost. If you wanted one of the hero products and maybe one other, it was still a money saver, even before assuming you’d get something back on vinted for the other bits

Lurkingshark · 22/07/2026 09:32

Any LF codes most welcome!

Thelifeofawife · 22/07/2026 09:37

@JoRaRaRa I think it was you who was considering getting another New Season Edit for the Virtue conditioner? LF currently have it reduced to £36, and if you use code BOX30 it brings it down to £31.50

I also have a £5 credit so I think I’ll give it a try now. I already use a couple of leave in conditioners, and I’m particularly loving the Moncho Moreno from the Harrods BAC, but interested to try the Virtue.

Also, for anyone interested, LF have a nice Natasha Denona eyeshadow palette on offer from £79 to £47.40

Edit as I added info for CB not LF 🤪

MrsDahliaTravers · 22/07/2026 09:47

@Addictedtobeauty Sorry, I only think people should be stopped from buying 20 or 30 boxes each for resale. Didn't mean you at all. I think there should be a limit of maybe 3 each?
I sell on bits I don't want on Vinted and obviously don't mind others doing the same!
There was a whole box for sale on Vinted at £80 yesterday, it's annoying if people are buying to sell on the whole thing. I think it worked out cheaper to buy the whole edit with the discount code than just to buy the cleanser! 😂

MrsDahliaTravers · 22/07/2026 09:48

Thank you for the JL heads up, I got the perfume! 😍

IlovePond · 22/07/2026 09:53

I agree with everyone - there’s no problem at all with buying an extra box for a friend, relative, etc. and it makes total sense to pop things you aren’t going to use on eBay.

I have happily bought things from people’s a/cs - e.g. the Zelens B12 from last year, but I do think retailers should try to crack down on ‘professional’ resellers/scalpers. Being able to buy umpteen Harrods calendars that are obviously intended for resale is just wrong.

On a related note: It amuses me when scalpers misjudge the market and end up with products they can’t shift, but unfortunately, many people are desperate for whatever it is and will pay silly prices.

A recent example was the Boots Stackers set - I paid £45 for mine from Boots. Scalpers are still trying to sell these on eBay and Vinted for £100+

JoRaRaRa · 22/07/2026 09:55

@Thelifeofawife thank you! I've just picked up another 😊

LightandBreezy · 22/07/2026 09:59

I thought Harrods did have a limit on it's FAC of 2 per customer? So anyone reselling a load must have set up multiple accounts to do so. That's much harder for a company to deal with.

IlovePond · 22/07/2026 10:03

That’s true @LightandBreezy I don’t think the systems are sophisticated enough to spot things to going to the same address but with different accounts.

I don’t understand how it works, but I think some scalpers use bots/software to help access multiples of hard to get items.

I know this was happening with the old H&M designer collaborations- I lost interest in them because after a few years it was practically impossible for non-scalpers to buy the stuff online.

Yes Harrods did put a limit of 2 per customer for the fragrance calendar. I guess people were buying using different emails. I remember the FAC being listed on EBay for inflated prices on the day it was released last year.

HolidayHattie · 22/07/2026 10:05

My Sali Hughes edit arrived yesterday evening. On previous occasions my orders have been cancelled, so I guess it's just my turn to get lucky this time. Does anyone want the Molecule 01 perfume? I have plenty of this already.

Those of you who wanted the edit but didn't get it are going to be cross with me now, because I need advice on how to use it. I think I mentioned previously that I'm new to the full skin care regime thing. I'm familiar with "cleanse, tone, moisturise" but a bit lost beyond that.

The Medic8 Liquid Peptides says use after cleansing and serum but before moisturiser. So that seems clear enough, although a 5-step regime is a bit much for me: cleanser, toner, serum, Medik8 and moisturiser. I'll probably skip serum; I've got some, but am not yet in the habit of using it.

Then the Sunday Riley Vitamin C Cream: where on earth does this fit in? It says it goes after cleansing and can be used as a primer for makeup, so does that mean instead of my normal moisturiser? Would it be after Medic8 or would you not use them in the same regime? And is that best just in a morning? (It says both morning and night in the "how to use" section of the CB screen.)

Please be patient and explain to me like I'm an idiot. I feel like it, at times, in this magical, alluring world of skin care and beauty products.

OvaHere · 22/07/2026 10:13

@HolidayHattie I seriously question the claims that SR Afterglow can be used as a primer. I mentioned earlier in the thread that I really do like the cream but it plays terribly with a lot of other products. This could be a me thing of course but something to bear in mind.

I've got a jar of it open at the moment and I use it days where I'm wfh and doing a quick cleanse, tone, moisturise with no SPF on top. It does give my skin a lovely glow which is why I like it but I find it can pill badly.

OP posts:
user593 · 22/07/2026 10:16

@HolidayHattie I would use the peptides in place of serum and the vitamin c in place of moisturiser. So cleanse, toner, peptides, vitamin c. It shouldn’t really add anything to your current routine.
