Tuberose Imperiale today. I'd almost forgotten about this

In honour of the Harrods fragrance calendar, I've put on Thameen riviere today 🥰

I didn't like that. I prefer the one in this years FAC although the scent was very faint when I tried it out in store. I'm hoping it translates better when I can spray it properly.

I really like it, I bought a second bottle on vinted 🥰 I've not tried a lot of the fragrances in this calendar, I have a trip to London planned for the end of this month, so I'm hoping I can have a good sniff of them all in Harrods 🤞🏻

There’s a John Lewis in Norwich, not perhaps as massively exciting!

And. TK Maxx in Castle Mall, down in the basement…

Oh and a Neal’s Yard in the Lanes. Lower Goat Lane, the one with Imelda’s shoe shop on the corner.

If you fancy hunting out some Weleda there’s a Holland and Barrett, or possibly the health shop right opposite Jarrolds on exchange st, next to the newsagent.

Pacific Lime Atelier Cologne for me today. Gorgeous but longevity is shocking.

@TragicMuse I managed to visit John Lewis, Jarrolds, Space NK and Lush in the end, lots of sniffing but no buying today. Also got to smell the Lush Moominvalley in store, it starts out very Dove Soap before drying down to a softer vanilla. Nice, a like but not a love. Was disappointed that Juni & Co was closed as I’d hoped to try some of the Abel range, but all things considered, a good trip!

Opera infernal from the liberty bag. First one i actively don't like from liberty. Has a weird sour smell.

All the others I've loved or at least ok'd.

It is quite dove like, also reminds me of a sweeter version of replica bubble bath but it has that sharp soap edge.. aldehydes maybe

I to tried Moominvalley but honestly I just don't get on with Lush. I am not sure if this is due to the intense smell in the shop, it's possible

I get on with some aldehydic ones but the dove effect doesn't appeal - I had buyers remorse after buying narciso pure musc blanc recently which I rarely do, I usually at least like what I've bought if not love but I found it quite headached inducing. Laundry scents that smell more like persil I find a lot better - eg coleur primaire, was hoping moomin would be like that but it sounds like it's more in the dove category so will give it a miss.

Little sniff of 'Salted Haze', one of the new M&S Studio perfumes. Very nice - think it's meant to be a dupe/relative of 'Sea Salt & Wood Sage' or 'Gypsy Water'. starts with a slight fruity (pear?) note then turns into gentle salty sea breeze.

I think it’s supposed to be quite woody but it isn’t at all on me. Not too rosey rose.

Against all odds, the combo of molton brown tobacco absolute and Matiere premiere vanilla powder extrait works really well.

Beast mode luckily wfh today.

Liberty vine thief. I was convinced I would hate this as I dont like strawberry notes, or leather , but it's a suprise win! Loving it! So glad i didn't sell it.
Actually prefer it to adelphi sun.

This and 1875 my fave Liberty perfumes I think. Also keen to try wild rosinda one time although I'm not sure whether I will like it.

I really can't wait to try Future Memories by Byredo.

What's it supposed to be like?

Some reviews are saying smokey vanilla, others green, one that initially smells like leather! I love the name and they are cheating on Jerome Epinette with Quentin Bisch. It could go either way but I like the name too - I am intrigued.

I ordered a sample a few days ago. Hoping it will come tomorrow. I'll feed back.

I like Quentin. I think he's behind a lot of maison crivelli although they are very strong (the extraits certainly are) whereas Byredo is a lot more subtle as a house. Byredo holds a place in my heart as the house that got me into all of this, although looking at my bank balance that should be a reason to hate them....

I am wearing Figue Amour today. Really like it!
