Carnal Flower bedtime scent. This is an unusual patchouli/ tuberose blend. Quite like it. Enjoying the Malle discovery set, would recommend.

@HolidayHattie Cynthère reminds me of the scent of Marseille soap - I think it’s the olive/citrus combination that does it. Most soapy scents (eg Blanche) tend towards white soap, but this one is clean soapy in a different way.

I love Adelhi Sun more every time I wear it.

Adelphi Sun here too :) Would love more longevity but I'll take what I can get.

Crystal saffron Extrait from mat prem. Does not disappoint! Slightly sweeter than the edp in my opinion.

I jumped on the Adelphi Sun bandwagon today; wanted to see what I was missing. It's nice, but not a love, and it didn't half disappear quickly.

Extrait set from mat prem arrived and they are gorgeous but very tiny! No regrets but I do need to rein it in, especially as advent calendar season is upon us and I have a sneaking suspicion harrods fragvent may launch next week.

Blocked nose this morning so maybe Le Labo Eucalyptus or maybe Bibi Swimming pool. Santal 33? I feel I need something strong and herbal, something with but of a character and punch.

Definitely swimming pool - I used this when I had a virus/poss covid and all I wanted was the astringent nose- clearers. Shame in a way I went back to my normal 'nose' as I had a brief period of loving citrus/freshies which are usually a bit too overpowering for me.

Mo Ghost absolu today- beautiful scent that works in all seasons .

In the interests of experimentation I also tried Encens Suave extrait from mat prem - not for me, it has very strong coffee/incense notes and whilst I can like a coffee note there's something in this combo that just doesn't work for me.

I have tried and loved the crystal saffron, vanilla powder and radical rose extraits. Falcon leather and santal austral left to try.

Really recommend this house (matiere premiere) to anyone wanting to broaden their olfactory horizons, the perfumes are absolutely top quality although very strong. Quite a high price point too but I'm still burning through my premium bond winnings - although I can't keep using that excuse some has to be saved!

SOTD Diptyque Fleur de Peau. Not worn this for a while. It's not heavy nor lightweight. I find it a really wearable scent and it sits in that laundry/powdery skin scent category to me. Good Sunday scent.

@IDontHateRainbows I really like Vanilla Powder and Radical Rose. I wouldn't mind trying the extraits. I'm hoping they might appear in edits over the next year as the Ex Nihilo extraits have.

You can buy a set of the tiny (1.5ml) samples of extrait direct from Mat Prem, think it's £36 for 6 and they throw in a few samples of the edp too so I got 9 for £36 which considering it's Mat Prem, isn't a terrible deal.

Feedback from Adelphi Sun yesterday - hugged a few friends yesterday who both said I smelled incredible, and this was at a point where I felt the main scent had vanished, so this clearly works as a very nice skin scent too!

Today: Lust in Paradise, extremely nice juicy florals.

Have also come into a little money via a work bonus and havering about doing a spend on a bottle of something fancy (or a decent sample set) 👀

@OvaHere Fleur de Peau is my favourite Diptyque scent. It was love at first sniff. Wears well too.

Oh that's interesting (about the Adelphi Sun.) I also hugged people when wearing it and nobody said anything. Maybe it suits you more than me.

I spend all day at home, mostly in bed and swimming pool felt the right vibe for what I need. For bedtime Nest Santa Barbara strawberries. Not something I would buy myself, will be happy to get travel in set and I will enjoy the sample.

Bedtime scent is crystal saffron extrait. Such an unusual scent. Smells quite chemical, in a nice way. I love saffron as a note.

Hope you feel better soon. Swimming pool will certainly clear your airways, with the Eucalyptus and mint.

I miss enjoying it, its just too strong when I'm not full of a cold. Definitely my scent for that. Or maybe I could use it like smelling salts in Victorian times, if I'm feeling tired at work to perk me up?

Really like it. Probably more an autumn/ winter scent for me. Scarily, autumn onky a few weeks off.

Just watching a video in youtube by jenlove where she talks about all the weekly goss about the make-up industry. Omg she said there's a fragrance influencer who ordered 15k usd worth of perfumes from nordstrom,then returned them saying oh they were bought as gifts but nobody wanted it. In perfect packaging but when Nordstrom team just checked a box it had modelling clay inside instead of perfumes. A fraud investigation was set up by police called " Operation Eau de fraud" haha! Influencer arrested and bailed now,will get at least 20 yrs they think!

I mean replacing the perfume with clay is just stupid to the point of mental illness. As if they wouldn't check!
