Oh I love the citric! Just also hoping for something that really does bitter bitter citrus peel too.

Penhaligons babylon - the only penhaligon's I've ever really liked. This is my fave vanilla, slightly sweet, slightly spicy. Picked up a rare 10ml on ebay as otherwise it only comes in massive bottles.

Blue Talisman Extrait is my favourite Ex Nihilo, out of the 4 I sampled at home. Its not my favourite brand and I enjoy 3 out of the 4 but wouldn't consider them full price.

I may go with Gucci Guilty Love edition, one violet I did get on with - unlike Purple

Caved and bought the frederic malle discovery kit SNK 20% off. Strange size for discovery kit - 3.5ml vials x 6. I usually find the 1.5ml or 2ml ones pathetically small, 3.5ml gives more of a taster without pushing the price up too much so maybe it's the right size. Stupidly despite having next day delivery I didn't ensure I checked that box on check out, SNK set it up on purpose so you have to manually indicate, should know from my account. Just means a few more days wait but that's ok, should land by weekend.

that's why I love getting kits - I committed to Lust in Paradise today, spraying some on clothes and OMG, it is divine! 2 hours in still going strong - fingers crossed it stays as it is until it disappears. I didn't like Gris Charnel in store either - it's easier to properly experience fragrance at home, giving it few wears when in doubt.

@IDontHateRainbows those are good sizes. I've recently got into the FM X acne studios as a base perfume, not my main one, and I quite like poal (although still reach for delina over it) and carnal flower on the dry down. Those are the only 3 I've tried from them. Let us know your thoughts when you do your sniff test 🙂

I just thought that was my account not selecting the limitless shipping. It is annoying that you have to select it every time. I remembered to select it the other day when buying more foundation, but despite buying before the cut off time of 7pm, it's didn't come next day. Hopefully it arrives today with the perfume samples 🤞🏻

@MiaN interesting question! I'm relatively new to this and my collection is limited so far, I think I only have one summer fave, which is Philosykos, but there are lots more I want to try. My preferences for summer are green, herbal, vegetal notes, citrus, and tea, and I've got samples of the following to work through:

• D&G Light Blue
• D&G Light Blue Capri in Love
• EA White Tea
• Hermes Un Jardin Sur La Nil

Vyrao Ludatrix today. The latex note isn't everyone's cup of tea but I really like this scent. Main downside is the longevity is fairly mid.

Commodity Juice expressive today - I wanted something fruity because it's so sunny here today. I do like it but I'm wishing I'd gone for Nest strawberry which feels lighter. So maybe later.

For summer wardrobe I feel I need

Beach vibe - I would say something with coconut (Miami nectar, ambre vanielle, St Barts spray, my newly found love Lbty Adelphi Sun or Jo Malone Frangipani). Winner for summer from the listed if I only have to pick one - Adelphi Sun has my heard currently

Refreshing citrus - I have so many, like every second perfume I own! Orange Sanguine Atelier Cologne, Fico di Amalfi and Buongiorno Acqua di Parma favourites but honestly I love so many - it's hard to pic one

Clean/salty - Myth Ellis Brooklyn, Wood Sage and Sea Salt - Jo Malone, Skin. If

Juicy bomb - I honestly love me some of the Escada cheep and cheerful summer edition, last a second but great burst of juicy fruit. Lets call it Bali Paradise, but anything that is super ripe juicy fruit would do. Being most recent addition and love - Mango Skin - Vilhelm Parfumerie
will get the spot for me

Green & herbal - Alia Main character, Replica From the Garden, Jo loves the veggie trio, Debasar?

i have not included florals as they give me spring vibe.

Adelhi Sun (beach vibe) Fico di Amalfi (fresh citrus), Clean salty - Wood Sage and Sea Salt, Juicy - Mango skin, green Main Character.

hm.. I love my freshies and I feel I left out my all year round favourites - Mojave Ghost, Bal D'Afrique, Linterdit etc but I don't view them as seasonal. Excuse the spelling mistakes in the previous post!

Lbty Adelphi Sun and Frangipani don't have coconut but are beach vibe. And heart, not heard!

The veggie trio is Jo Malone, not Jo loves.

I should get back to my work and not think of smelly things :)

For summer I tend to stick to
replica - beach walk
DKNY woman for when it is meltingly hot as it’s so cold
bobbi brown beach
gypsy water
clean reserve skin

Oh Gypsy Water is lovely too, but I also love this one any time of the year! Some great choices

My summer favourites:

Hermes Un Jardin sur Le Nil - perfectly blended green, fruit and fresh notes, smells really classy.

Gallivant Los Angeles - pineapple, woods and a bit oceanic. Love anything pineapple and the woody notes in this stop it being too sweet. I really rate Gallivant scents.

Tocca Lucia - fig, oceanic and woods mix according to Fragantica. I can’t really pick out any particular notes though, just smells refreshing and aromatic to me.

EA Green Tea Coconut Breeze - for when it’s really hot. I’ve got the Lotus version too, either will do but I slightly prefer the coconut one.

Occasionally go for Next Summer Sun (Bronze Goddess dupe) for a sunscreen vibe, or one of the SDJ or Saltair body sprays. Quite like Kayali Yum Pistachio for the evening in summer too.

My fave five summer scents in no particular order - these are the 5 I reach for when sun is out, hot day ahead of me

PDM - Delina
HOO - Guilty Crush
Neydo - Blond Redhead
Florakiu - One umbrella for two

Have got other lists for summer day no sun shining, summer day just had a shower for the evening, summer day but weather is bad 🤣🤣🤣
Ect basically any excuse to collect and wear perfumes with changes during the day

My faves (some currently on the shelf, some I've run out of):

DS & Durga 'Jazmin Yucatan' - wet tropical-aquatic jasmine, closer to tea and rainforests than florals. Incredible scent.

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria 'Pamplemousse' - perfect bitter/sweet grapefruit, straight up.

Ffern 'Summer 25'/'Summer 26' - same woody-musky base, 25 has more of a peachy/blood orange top, 26 is more grapefruit/rose, both delicious.

Le Labo 'Eucalyptus 20' - good all year round but the aromatic woods is v cooling in the summer.

M&S 'Sweet Frangipani' - pretty basic sweet tropical floral which I got in the beauty kit last week but great for proper spritzing in very hot weather.

for a runner up, Haeckels 'Botany Bay' is the only true salty ozonic-aquatic that I own, which definitely works better in the summer (would def be interested in more aquatic reccomendations though!)
