I ordered tabac Sahara from small aromas only a 5ml but that's enough for me.

Its a strong one that's not an easy love but im up for a challenging scent and its intriguing.

SOTD was Lira. I've been wearing this a lot as it's on my desk. Really love it.

As an aside I watched this earlier. About half way through we get a look at Madonna's perfume shelf. Quite a lot of Matiere Premiere spotted, a Diptyque and Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady.

Just in case anyone was interested in what scents Madonna likes to wear. 😄

Yes she likes radical rose which is my favourite rose!

@IDontHateRainbows it is a really nice rose. I only have a tiny one so don't wear it often.

I dream of a full bottle of the extrait but they are like £350 no wonder it's only people like madonna who can afford it...

Showered and swapped to replica - beach walk

IDontHateRainbows · 30/06/2026 11:27

Commodity milk which was in the cult beauty xmas stockings - it's definitely a winter scent doesn't quite feel right today.

My tabac sahara is out for delivery - really quick from small aromas so recommend them for fast service. Unfortunately I'm not at home today but it will be waiting for me when I am.

I’ve gone for Debaser again, layered with my own blend which I called Spicy Woods. Or Woody Spice. Can’t remember!

It’s working nicely!

IDontHateRainbows · 30/06/2026 21:44

Tabac Sahara sample arrived. Its so smoky but I like it. Tobacco meets raspberry. Not my usual scents at all but I am tobacco- curious.

Also ordered a matiere premiere discovery set 6 x extrait and comes with 3 x edp all tiny sizes but not bad for £36 delivered, I do love mat prem.

my manager isn’t a perfume person but wants “something sweet but not sickly and fresh” and bought a caramel body spray… she hates it
I’ve dug out some stuff I don’t wear so hoping she likes some of them! I’ve gone for
ouai - dean street
b&bw - coconut and white cotton
acqua di gioia
Clean shower fresh
clean summer sailing
h&m modern minimalist

MotherWol · 01/07/2026 11:48

@practicalmagictime those are really good picks, hopefully there's something there she likes! I feel like some of the Jo Malones would fit the bill of fresh, sticky, but not sweet - maybe English Pear and Freesia? Or Elizabeth Arden Green Tea - it's refreshing, perfect for hot weather, and surprisingly nice for a cheapie.

MrsBnow12 · 01/07/2026 12:42

New scent edit from Harrods - £150

  • Includes Bibbi Parfums Deep Lotus 30ml, Fragrance Du Bois Rude Oud Elixir 30ml, Montale Holy Musk 20ml, Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise Extrait 7.5ml and Blue Talisman Extrait 7.5ml, Maison Crivelli Musc Nurasana 5ml and Safran Secret 5ml
  • Presented with a Harrods tote bag
Scent of the day part 9 with the friendly perfumistas - cheapies or niche we're smelling divine!

Evaluating my wishlist for July/August, and I'm not sure if I want to buy anything this month, or just work through my current stash. I'm really enjoying my tea, citrus, green scents at the moment and cycling through the three I have on rotation. I've also got a fair few samples to test, so in theory I'm fairly content. AND YET I have a small budget every month for more frags, and I don't know if I want to spend it, or save it!

She loves the b&bw coconut and white cotton so far
she said she’s not a fan of coconut usually but this feels a lot fresher rather than beach like

TragicMuse · 01/07/2026 18:30

I layered Le Labo Thè Matcha 26 with Debaser today. Lovely combo!

I think I’m going to try and sell the many Liberty Zephirine I seem to have. I don’t think it’s me and I’m not keen.

IDontHateRainbows · 01/07/2026 21:01

The matiere premiere discovery kit landed - 6 x 1.5ml extrait and 3 x 1.5ml edp including radical rose, vanilla powder and the new metal lavendar.

Metal lavendar was a bit of a disappointment, it's just too strong on the lavendar yes I know it's called lavendar but I was expecting it to be a bit more blended and have some 'metal' notes, a bit like crystal saffron or something but in lavendar form.

Radical rose is lovely, a safe bet.

I haven't opened the extraits yet. But I will.

TragicMuse · 02/07/2026 07:50

If anyone loves Zephirine let me know! I’m open to a swap if you’d like…

IDontHateRainbows · 02/07/2026 07:57

Tried metal lavender again and liking it more this time. Sometimes I think the nose just needs a bit of getting used to things.

Will crack open the extraits set later and poss put on crystal saffron. Not in the office today or else I'd probably need a hazard warning as these are strong.

Lurkingshark · 02/07/2026 07:58

@MotherWol save it! Then when something is eye watering you can be smug!

MotherWol · 02/07/2026 09:45

@Lurkingshark I think I will try and save it, I've got plenty of choice for now and yesterday's post brought two samples as well. It's Infiniment Coty, who I'm not familiar with at all, but looking at Liberty they're sitting at the premium end of the spectrum. Encore Une Fois is a warm amber vanilla, not sweet, and Apres L'Amour is rich and spicy. First impressions are great, I can see them suiting cooler weather very well.

SOTD Abel Double Scoop, it's really nice, vanilla, sesame and rosemary, but although they describe it as a warm weather vanilla I'm just not sure I enjoy creamy scents on hot days. I like it, and I'll come back to it, but maybe in September.

Dreamyposter · 02/07/2026 10:17

I'm really struggling with summer perfumes, ive realised all mine are very heavy amber and quite dark/musky and mysterious etc

I 'd really like something fresh for a change- any recs for something that smells just like rain?- imagine the moment just after a thunderstorm when it smells fresh, clean, renewed - possibly a bit green/grassy etc

Thank you :)

MotherWol · 02/07/2026 11:56

@Dreamyposter possibly Rain Wood or Rain Cloud by Perfumer H - they do a sample service of 3 2ml samples for £15 so you can try them out. Or possibly the Hermes Un Jardin series - they do a really cute discovery set so you can try them out: https://allbeauty.com/products/p-hermes-minatures-gift-set-jardins-discovery-set-15456693

@Dreamyposter the Chloe Atelier des Fleurs are really nice. I have Plage du Figuier and Sous Les Pins.

https://www.chloe.com/en-gb/c/fragrances/atelier-des-fleurs

They're sold in a few places. I got mine in Duty Free at a good price but you'd be able to pick them up from somewhere like Cult Beauty or Space NK when they have a 20% off sale.
