What should I wear to a black tie celebrity wedding?

A friend is getting married in NYC later this year. The dress code is black tie. The venue has not been disclosed and will not be disclosed until the day of the event to avoid media attention as they are within the celebrity sphere (I know them through family and am very much not from this world)
Any advice on something suitably glamorous given there may be a few A listers present and I don’t want to look out of place? I’m 5’7, size 8-10. Budget not really an issue

It does seem VERY bright though? Which is what I also thought about the red one the OP liked. But probably worth seeing both colourways in the flesh.

Me too. The colours are delicious. I would feel extremely elegant in any of these. Can't decide which one I want most ...

Do you think? Much as I love the Balmain one, now that the OP has said what her colouring is (cool & wintry, & probably quite high contrast), I don't think either colour would be right for her. The sage green is too soft & muted, the orange too warm & intense. They're for more autumnal colouring IMO.

Rich pinks/purples/plums/teal-greens/deep blues - or black & white - would, I think, work best of all. That's not to say she couldn't look great in either - I just think it's likely she could look better in other colours!

I love the yellow one that the website opens with too. I might have to go fondle some of them next time I'm back in Ireland.

I do also love some of the more conventional dresses suggested (my taste is probably quite eclectic). But exaggerated silhouettes are hardly a new thing in fashion - I don't understand why they're disliked!

Lovely footwear too. I really like this one - it looks fun & not in the least fuddy-duddy.

@Fushcia you’re right it’s not as flattering on the NAP model.

It still looks nice I think - but less vivid. And I think the top doesn't fit as well because 🙀 I'm not sure if she's wearing a bra!
