I had a lovely day out in Norwich yesterday and spent some time in Jarrolds testing perfumes and lusting after the Tom Ford eye quads and Dior lipsticks. I'm trying to hold off on spending till advent season as I've so much to get through already and rarely go anywhere to wear makeup, but I'm very tempted to have a mini splurge. It's hard buying online as the colours never quite match up. I'm going to have to go back and spend a bit longer there. Unfortunately my DS has CFS and we'd taken him as we have just bought him a wheelchair so he can go out again. Yesterday was a test run and was probably a bit too ambitious so we focused on places he wanted to go.

Took delivery.of a violette lip nectar from liberty that I bought with BD credit. It's quite good, a lip stain- always a trade off between lasting v not drying lips out too much which it seems to do ok. I got the shade dahlia noir which is almost like a clinique black honey shade.

Not impressed with the selfridges beauty on the go box, have found selfridges quite hit and miss lately. I am coming to think yhat in general beauty boxes/ kits are just an excuse to shift hard to sell stock and it doesn't feel like they are particularly well thought out.

I received my Harrods haul yesterday and was delighted with it!
The GWP bag is better than I expected. From the photos the material looked like felt to me, which would have been nice but less hard wearing.
The Dior backstage glow quad is really nice, I’ve not tested it yet but it’s more pinky than coral (I got pearly peach, or whatever it’s called).
I think I need to go shopping IRL to test the YSL nude lingerie lipstick, it’s not quite the shade I was expecting so I’d like to test it out.

My Victoria Beckham foundation just arrived and wow, it is amazing!

I'm still toying with the idea of buying an haul to get the Harrods bag. The up to 20% off ends today so I need to decide what I'm doing.

Unpacked my Harrods order last night & the GWP exceeded my expectations! First one in a while that has felt properly generous: I think the bag itself being something you’d actually want to use (as opposed to yet another makeup bag) makes a big difference. Also, a good mix of products, and a LOT of different items, and quite a few full size. Combined with the 20% discount felt like a really good value spend.

Liberty order, otoh, was a massive disappointment. DH didn’t like the Stella Mc bag, the Coach bag was way too big & solid, and the rest of the order was a collection of duds too. Except the velvet pale blue liberty print adidas which are utterly perfect - dh was in full agreement on that! But all the rest is going back.
Now I have to find somewhere that will accept an enormous box for the return - my local PO definitely won’t take it!

Does anyone know anything about the Tatcha family & friends event? I was just browsing and the site prompted me to sign up for early access to their annual offer as it's 'coming soon'. Is it anything like the event with the lucky bags? Or will there be discounts?

Have any of you tried your medik8 night cream you all got possibly in a kit before Christmas? I can remembering wanting to know if it’s only my skin that doesn’t love it even though I love most of my other medik8 stuff x

I’ve had the medik8 night cream and it did nothing remarkable for me and I love a lot of their products. I splurged on the Ozmorovicza night last week as they had 25 percent off and even less if subscribing…that did do something! V expensive though…

Honestly I do sometimes think across all the skincare etc, a face lift might be a better investment…too cowardly though!

Same here with medik8 night cream. Love lots of their products but the night cream did nothing for me and I was happy to finish the small pot I had.

@Twinsandsome Same for me regarding the Medik8 night cream. I use and love a lot of their products but this one just felt like it dried out my skin, I couldn’t wait to finish it

Haha, it’s everywhere!! Lucky for me I actually like it so I don’t mind the frequency of its appearance

I think it's a discount event. Can't remember how much but F&F brand sales are usually about 20%

@Twinsandsome I liked the medik8 night cream, there are others that I prefer so I probably wouldn't repurchase but I'm going to use the 2nd one I have in my stash rather than sell it.

Has the JL gwp sold out? It’s still showing in my rewards but it says I need to add the box but I can’t find it anywhere to add. Has anyone had success with this?
