Time for a new thread, our first in a MN Community Group. We've chatted and purchased beauty bargains so much we've become a literal tribe! 😂

In other news PLouise was out of the gate with ridiculous speed announcing the first advent calendar waitlist in April.

In celebration I thought I'd try out a poll. It runs for 7 days, there was only 6 options so comment in the thread for those that come under 'Other'.

Sod it. £10 CB perfume voucher kerfuffle credit burning a hole in my virtual pocket. Combined with the BDAY15 code I got the edit for £25.

And just got a message from DHL confirming my SK order is due this Thursday!!! Whoop!

BDay15 wouldn’t work on the sun edit earlier and now it’s working. I’m tempted to get another one but I really, really don’t need it but I do have £50 in credit so it’s technically free. Decisions, decisions.

I thought with the code working that I'd order it, but it's not loading up delivery options, so I guess that's the world telling me that I shouldn't get it 🤣

Unable to wait until September, I have bought an old (unopened) liberty advent calendar off ebay. It's the 2024 one, hopefully most things in there won't go off after 18 months or so. Bought it for pretty much cost price at £250. I think a lot of these bulk buyers who snap them up to sell on end up with stock on their hands that won't shift, certainly last year there didn't seem to be many that sold out with the exception of Harrods fragrance which I think they possibly make less of than demand for the publicitiy.

I'm not buying the sun edit or any Dior. 😁

I did buy 2 of the new Morphe double ended brushes which arrived this morning - they seem nice though haven't used them yet.

Mine has been saying this since Saturday evening, its very annoying - not sure why or how to fix this!

are Morphe the best brushes ? Better than hourglass?

I wouldn't say they are better than HG but they are very nice at a more affordable price.

I've managed to get onto the payment screen, but what is really annoying is that I have £32 in credit, I don't want to use it all, but it's an all or nothing thing 😐

@IDontHateRainbows are you keeping it for Christmas or having it as a spring advent? Typing that I have just realised I love the idea of a spring advent. If I recall
correctly I preferred the 2024 calendar to the 2025.

@user593 My Velatura Balm also arrived mangled. I had bought it off the Lisa Eldridge site, so I sent them photos. A replacement turned up quicker than the original order.

Sod it - I've also gone for the CB sun edit - managed to get it for £30 and free ND delivery. And I've moved from Silver to Gold status 🎉

Miss Boux did an advent awards video for 2025 with stats about best/worst value etc.

I had two more LE velatura balms arrive today (thankfully undamaged) and I'm amazed that one range can have THREE shades that all look great on me! I usually really struggle to find the right shade of blush & lipstick, so LE has really nailed it with this one.

Im very pale with dark hair and bought hellebore heaven, rose madder and meeting the ex in case that's helpful to anyone. I've found the images online and swatches on the back of my hand to be very accurate to how they look on my lips/cheeks.

I was planning to wait until they were on offer/eligible for codes before buying more, but my original shade has already become the only thing I've needed to pack (for lips/cheeks) when going away, so I just couldn't wait to buy more!

Thanks! I got my replacement today and also a second Velatura balm I ordered while I was waiting 😅 both are okay. It does make me wonder if they’re good for travel though if it’s happened more than once!

True but I think I have four Merit, four Westman Atelier, three Rhode and now two Lisa Eldridge. That’s not including highlighters and any I’ve forgotten 😅 I only have one face!

I had to find space for all the makeup and skincare I bought in Thailand earlier today which was quite a sobering experience!
