Has anyone tried the scent set that came in the Harrods GWP - Marc...? I think the same set is in the PS Essence Box too.

Yes, I tried it from the ps box. I like Ganymede but we received that in the Harrods calendar. There's one which I really hated. None of them (for me) are a must buy. I had high hopes for Tilia due to all the hype around it, but it was just meh to me. I think my fave was b365? I can't remember the exact name. Anyway, apart from Ganymede, I've not worn any since testing them.

Lurkingshark · 23/05/2026 10:17

@IDontHateRainbows probsbly 😂 but not to worry, I don’t need more. I just thought it was an interesting mix but I’ll pick some of them up on vinted if I really miss it. I’ve taken to having a running ml total of perfume to keep me in vaguely manageable levels!

Yes, this was the most interesting part of the PS Discovery set for me. I am utterly in love with Aldebaran.... It totally does it for me. That said, I think I have weird fragrance tastes. I love that it has a slightly camphorous, deep heat smell, and also has a kind of savoury roasted pepper vibe. I realise I'm probably not selling this to anyone 😂.

Ganymede is also really interesting, but teetered on nauseating for me for some reason. It reminds me of warm sea salty rocks.

Tilia was way too overpowering for me - intensely sweet/floral... Impossible to scrub off.

The B [insert numbers] one is nice, but a bit too leathery for me.

encelade - again, really interesting, sort of rhubarby and nutty? It gives me the feeling of slightly funky summer foliage.

All in all, I think they're the most "striking" fragrances I've come across. Generally unlike anything else I've smelled. They are also very "atmospheric" to me, conjuring up quite vivid "images"/vibes.

MiaN · 23/05/2026 13:47

Bought couple of escada summer editions from TK Max. They really should be body mists really, zero longevity boy great mood lifters for the reduced price.

I went somewhere with gorse bushes yesterday but couldn't smell them. It was very windy so maybe the wind was taking the scent away.

Hello perfumistas, I'm looking for some help. I don't buy perfume very often but just had a sample of prada infusions gingerbread and loved it. Looking to buy it and it seems to only come in 100ml bottles at £150 which is too much for me. Is there any way around having to buy such a large bottle?

Thanks. I forgot Ganymede was one of them. I didn't like that.

Thank you. I appreciate the vivid descriptions. I suspect they won't be my thing.

Hi @Gingeraider, you could order a sample size from Tiny Fragrances, they do up to 10ml: https://tinyfragrances.co.uk/product/prada-infusion-de-gingembre/?attribute_size=1ml
Don’t think I’ve ever used this company, but it has good TrustPilot reviews. This perfume doesn’t appear to be offered by most of the main sample companies. (From my personal experience, I wouldn’t recommend Fragrance Revolution Boutique!)

Oh what a great way to try stuff. Will look there in the future 😍

Gingeraider · 23/05/2026 18:57

Thanks the OldChestnutTree that's really helpful. I think 10ml would probably last me the summer which is perfect

TheOldChestnutTree · 23/05/2026 19:09

You’re welcome @Gingeraider! Fragrantica suggests it may be similar to Origins Ginger Essence; might be another one to try - I used to love that one!

@Doglover73 I love trying samples - Fragrance Samples UK, Scented Samples and The Perfume Sampler have always been good for me! 😊

Who is Elijah?
Ocean Eyes.i wasnt keen the first time I used it but its grown on me. Spraying literally aa I want to use it up so ive finished at least one to justify my other buys. 🤣

monotheme boccioli di limone today
its not been available here for ages so I’ve been saving it but just found it for a tenner on Notino!
it’s lemon blossom and lemon, not very long lasting but sharp and amazing in hot weather

The postman has blessed me with some samples today - Narcisco Rodriguez, which was on my to-try list as I’m exploring white musk, and Issey Miyake which I think DH will like. I’m getting quite a few samples from the Facebook algorithm at the moment, had some Initio ones pop up in my feed, so it’s definitely worth looking out for.

My ex wore that and the scent memory is so strong I nearly trailed after someone around Asda who was wearing it
I am a single feminist woman but that scent reduces me to “yes I’ll cook for you” Blush

I'd probably buy it 😜

IDontHateRainbows · Yesterday 17:07

No frag for me this weekend as I'm staying with my perfume allergic friend. Gives a chance for my skin to have a rest and the nose blindness subside but I am missing it.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder as they say. Home tomorrow.

Hope you like it! It’s great for summer and cheap too
they used to sell them all in M&S but stopped a while ago

QueefofSheena · Yesterday 18:29

I massively fell off this thread as I'm trying to do a no spend on perfume. Although I could be tempted by a nice scent edit. SOTD is the M&G Strawberry as it suits this weather.

MiaN · Yesterday 19:10

I am using Strawberry a lot, I think it was my most used discovery from last year's advent season. I didn't like it initially! I enjoy using same perfume frequently I have to say, I get to properly enjoy it and I know it suits me & my energy.

Doglover73 · Yesterday 19:14

@catscatsdogs I thought the bottle looked familiar.

@MiaN @QueefofSheena
I sold 1 of my strawberry ones from spacenk i think. I may try it from my 2nd if I havent sold it 🤣
I tried it in space nk but wasnt wowed. But not really a good test x
