Berber Blonde as I wanted something calming for a manic day at school.
It’s not working, but at least I smell lovely!

Matiere Vanilla Powder from the Liberty AC. I do like this, even though it’s not a woody green chypre!

Trying my samples from SpaceNK:
JHAG banana rush - no, too smokey and heavy for Spring. I had seen someone saying it was holiday vibes, but it certainly doesn't give that. I did buy a ts bottle, so it means I can now return that and get my £20 back 🥰 so I'm glad I got the sample.
Diptyque Eau Des Sens - again, this is a no from me. It's smells like a loo spray 🤣
Creed wild Vetiver - don't mind it, but it's not a love.
Ellis Brooklyn Isla Sirena - this is pretty and holiday vibes, but it's weak and feels like more of a body spray then a perfume.
So overall, I'm not impressed 🤣

I’ve got Vyrao Witchy Woo on one wrist and Jo Malone Cypress & Grapevine on the other.

The Jo Malone is a bit too aftershave for me but I love Witchy Woo. Reminds me of Lord of Misrule, which is one of my favourite Lush scents. It’s got that same peppery but warm feeling going on.

New Ltd ed Byredo scent. Sister Dreamer. Not sure if available widely in the UK yet.

• Top: Olibanum, Pepper Pink, Juniper Berry
• Heart: Freesia, Geranium, Turkish Rose Absolute
• Base: Sandalwood, Healingwood, Amberwood

So I'm now really liking the creed and Ellis Brooklyn perfumes, I can still smell them. I've sprayed over the JHAG and the diptyque.

Day 1 of my Spring Frankenstein FAC is Granado Tropicalia, I was expecting this to smell like a pina colada, or something fruity, but it really doesn't! It's quite nutty.

I really liked the Creed one but I do think it smells too similar to Brompton Immortals.

Oh I'll compare them both tomorrow. I love Brompton Immortals but I can't imagine myself falling in love with Wild Vetiver, the opening of it is just not for me. I like the dry down though.

Ive sampled the new jhag banana from snk, im intrigued. First spray was very chemical and strong but it has dried down nicely, very sweet almost maple syrup tones. Not sure id want more but happy with the sample.

Also got 4 diptyque samples and 1 durga idkw.

I think the JHAG might be a good one for autumn, I can see myself wearing it for pumpkin picking 🤣

I thought same for Banana fish and Ellis Brooklyn. I love good citrus, and I was expecting to like it but Diptyque Eau Des Sens is exactly like bathroom scent and very unpleasant as body scent to my nose.

Oh I don't know about the name. Sister dreamer? Hm... still I will be trying it. I like the image

KAYALI latte musk for me today. I’d describe this as a “cool girl” scent

The JHAG is growing on me. Not sure I'd ever want a full bottle but the little sample is nice and I've got 2 of them.
A bit disappointed that SNK advertised the diptyque samples as 5ml when they were 2ml, I had based my purchases on the assumption that I'd get something back for them on ebay and whilst they are listed, I don't know how much I can expect to get for the tiny size. Plus I only got 4 of them despite ordering 5, the last one was substituted for durga I don't know what.

Working from home today so will be experimenting lots and may do a sniff report later.

In other news I was able to share the perfume love with a colleague at work who had a birthday, and I said I'd give some samples, think I have a new convert as they absolutely loved the gris charnel and by the fireplace I gave, couldn't stop raving about them and want to get in to it more!

Curious about whether the JHAG banana is similar to or inspired by 'Sand' by And Fragrance (https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/aand-fragrances/Saand-62749.html) which is an incredible gourmand spicy banana-sandalwood.

My sister is an old hippy so Sister Dreamer sort of works for her 😁

SOTD is Rose Whip, it’s very sweet. I like it so far

It’s so cold that I am opting for Doe In The Snow by 4160 Tuesdays. It was originally created by Sarah McCartney for Lizzie Ostrum, for her winter wedding day.

I met Lizzie a few years ago at a literary festival, she gave me a sample of Au Dela Narcisse de La Montagne by Bruno Fazzolari, which is a wonderful scent. He’s a great perfumer…

I'm sending back the travel size JHAG. I was after a holiday scent and bought it based on someone saying in their review that it was exotic like holidays. I don't agree with that, I think it's very autumnal and that's not what I'm wanting right now.

I quite like the Ellis Brooklyn once it's dried down. I can imagine wearing that one on a nice sunny day to the beach 🥰 hoping we get some nice sunny days. I don't actually have any beach holidays booked, we only have London and Lisbon / Porto trip booked, so more sight seeing then relaxing. I probably need one that's going to be a get up and go scent 💃 Maybe mineral milk will be a good one to take 🤔

My sample you soie is hopefully arriving today. I'm going to compare it to mineral milk, I have heard that it loses its saltiness though and becomes more creamy after the initial opening, so it becomes more like the you fragrance. So that might be another travel size going back. I've looked and I can keep the samples 😊

Was quite tempted by this as 5 x 7.5ml is not bad for £115 and they're sprays not dabbers.

However the email they sent out had a picture of a set that contained Babycat which is the one I've really wanted to try for a while, but going into the link it's a different set.

So I've talked myself down for now. 😄Anyone have thoughts on any of the fragrances included?

The ones in this set are probably nice too but it's a good job I looked closer and spotted the discrepancy.

@OvaHere It looks like there is going to be another set that includes Babycat, Jumpsuit, Blouse, Muse and Tuxedo, so most of them are the same, just 2 different ones.

Ysl are weird and never seem to release everything on the same day. They blame brexit but dior, chanel and others can release everything on the same day so I'm not sure why ysl seem to have a massive problem with it. Anyway, if babycat is the one you really want, I'd wait as it'll probably be released in a few days 🙄

Thanks. That's annoying, if I order in a couple of days I'll be away when it arrives. DS will be at home so I could risk it. They only seem to offer standard 3-5 day delivery.

It is annoying when things seem to just randomly drop and it's only half a collection. Hopefully it'll time perfectly for you to be there when it arrives 🤞 You just might have to buy it whilst away, which is your own fault for going away 😜🤣
