Hotel wedding. DP's colleague.

I was thinking big silver jewellery.

It’s a bit grey. Weddings are a celebration, this doesn’t say celebration.

Purlant · 15/01/2026 20:43

Looks lovely if that’s the shape and colour that suits you. If you feel great in it, then you’ll feel happy and fun and that’s the main thing you want to be at a guest at a wedding!

Agree is it the colour or fit you like?

GlassofRosePorfavor · 15/01/2026 20:45

It's ok if you are five ft 9 and a half inches

owlpassport · 15/01/2026 20:46

It's ok, but that's all it is. It's pretty drab, and the fabric is quite casual. It's not inappropriate, but it's not nice IMO.

ReturnToRiding · 15/01/2026 20:48

It’s grey, in an office wear sort of way. it doesn’t feel very weddingy, but accessories etc can make a world of difference, you will need to REALLY jazz it up

okurmyeahalright · 15/01/2026 21:23

I agree looks drab. You can do much better than that for a wedding. That's casual office wear at best. I'd wear that to nip to tesco

24kPalamino · 15/01/2026 21:44

I tried this on the other day in Mango. It was lovely…but, I would definitely wear it to work. I don’t think I’d wear it to a wedding.

DaisyChain505 · 15/01/2026 21:44

I think unless you are stick thin without a sign of a stomach this will not be flattering at all.

Definitely agree with this as well. I’m 5’5” and 8 stone 8lb and the way the bottom half clings to the tummy is one thing I was weary about.

Daisywhatsyouranswer · 15/01/2026 21:57

It’s a bit work wear grey mixed with nineties disco. I would say no, weddings are supposed to be joyous occasions, not like you’re off with the office staff for an evening drink,

HarvestMouseandGoldenCups · 15/01/2026 21:59

It’s not very wedding-y…

DominoLover51 · 15/01/2026 22:13

You could wear Magenta accessories with it, bag, shoes, maybe a bolero, or even lighter pink accessories to make it more springy

ThisElatedShark · 15/01/2026 22:16

It’s OK, but looks more like you grabbed relatively whatever from your wardrobe at the last minute, rather than thinking about it months in advance (but that might be what you’re going for).

Peclet · 15/01/2026 22:36

Look like some got a brief that said- “school uniform but make it funky”

Really don’t like it. Shape, material, colour. No

NewLimeFish · 15/01/2026 23:18

silver boots, massive silver earrings, and maybe a white jacket? Nehru collar, fitted, Napoleon style? Or a furry short jacket? Pushed up sleeves, big silver bangles?

LadyGAgain · 15/01/2026 23:29

It’s bland and a bit boring and if you can pull this one off then the world is your oyster for so many fabulous outfits!!

LycheeFizz1972 · 15/01/2026 23:33

It’s beautiful, I envy you having the figure to pull it off! For a wedding it will need a bit of oomph - jewellery, heels, headpiece, jacket etc to add something more special.

Daisywhatsyouranswer · 15/01/2026 23:39

Gosh some of these suggestions, 😳 from adding tacky magenta to a furry jacket and big jewellery , although I can see people are trying to make it work, but honestly just no, not for a wedding.

op, are you maybe buying it so you can wear it to work after, and thinking multiple purpose? We can maybe help find something if this is the case that could work for both.

NorWouldTilly · 16/01/2026 01:21

Miserable colour - and the material’s so thin. Even the model has vpl. It’s almost guaranteed to look a mess in the photos.

FlapperFlamingo · 16/01/2026 01:25

I wouldn’t wear it, especially for a wedding. It’s too drab and dark.

MyStupidUsername · 16/01/2026 02:07

It's not doing anything for the model and the crotch is going to be a problem.
I wouldn't. A jumpsuit is fine, but pick a different colour and fabric - brighter colour, or a pattern.

Ruthietuthie · 16/01/2026 02:11

It's not very nice. And the crotch area looks, well, odd. That and it being dull grey, and not having a defined waist, I can't see this really flattering anyone. It doesn't look good on the model.
You can and should do better.

Tarkan · 16/01/2026 02:36

We had a May wedding and honestly everyone was in colour. If you can pull this off it’s an amazing outfit for something but the colour and look of the fabric is just blah for a wedding IMO.

casualobserver2026 · 16/01/2026 04:34

It's nice and you won't offend anyone, not very cheery but if your style is simple darker colours go for it.
