Think I may have sprayed the worst perfume ever today. I got a bit over excited last night after being on the beauty offers thread, where someone I think our very own @JoRaRaRa had found a rogue 40% off cult beauty code and I ordered some kayali oudgasm as blind buys - cafe and tobacco. ThenI later read the reviews which I usually do before, but - as I say I got over excited by the 40% off thing and didn't.

Cafe was the worst so I thought maybe not open that one, tobacco was also not wonderful but a few people thought it was ok. Well, I did not. It was the worst excuse for both tobacco and oud. No sweetness. Barnyardesque oud smell + your nans silk cut. I thought hey I'll wait for the dry down that'll be better. Nope. Acrid, rancid stench. Like black afgano (which I actually really rate) on a very bad day. Thought I'd wash it off. Nope, still there. IT WONT GO AWAY. I've possibly sullied the lovely memory of my devotion by spraying some of that on top to mask it. Sorry devotion! Just run a bath, if that doesn't get rid of it then I'm doomed.

Moral of the story DONT BLIND BUY. At least the cafe one is unopened and going back.

@IDontHateRainbows yes, sorry, I seem to have led a few people astray with the rogue discount code 🤣 I wish I'd bought more now.

Ive put it on vinted and will take a tenner for it. I could probably get more but I want it gone!

Luckily the bath did get rid of it. Now finishing the last of a sample of ginger biscuit, didnt enjoy this one as much as I hoped but it is quite photorealistic and was very appropriate for the festive season which is now long gone , and the sample will be too soon.

I got a bit bored of dedcool Taunt for today and decided to spray pdm palatine for bed. I like it, but I can't see myself buying a FS bottle of it, it's way too expensive plus I have the 10ml from the calendar and have managed to somehow collect 2x 5mls of it. No idea from where 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣 I don't love it like oriana or delina. I did spray it over the Taunt though, so maybe it'll be nicer on its own.

Thanks so much for sharing that code my cult beauty parcel turned up at lunchtime today! What a bargain I am stocked up on all my favourite beauty products for the next six months 🤣🙈

I should have done that, although after getting a bit of stuff in the sales I was already stocked up. Im never NOT stocked up to be fair

Palatine is on my to try list, trying to ration myself.

I wish I'd done this with foundation and concealer 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm good for everything else but I'm kicking myself for not getting these 😩

Yep, I was going to go through them all yesterday but I decided that I need to take my time really. I'm too quick to smell them and then I'm hunting around for another box to buy 🙈

SOTD is sirene by fragrance du bois. It was in one of the FACs can't remember which one now. I'm off to the small office today where they are more perfume friendly. I even have a collection of the mini dab ons on my desk - I find the dab ons are a bit better for office wear than spray as you don't get that really obvious cloud of scent. I have the herrera stiletto, flower bomb and a few other of the designer minis with funky bottles. Cheers the day up!
Oh and I managed to sell the oudgasm tobacco for a tenner on vinted so that evil concoction is leaving my house today. What was I thinking? Kayali can be hit and miss but I feel more and more they are just pumping out any old shite under the 'oudgasm' banner and they are to my nose quite screechy and not well blended scents. It's put me off Kayali a little. I only really rate the cherry and the vanilla from that house anyway

The Kayali Discovery Sets I had last year were enough to convince me that it's not the house for me. Lovefest Burning Cherry was the only one I really liked, but it didn't last long enough to justify the price. I'm not in any hurry to try any other Kayalis.

There was 5ml Palatine in the autumn Liberty Scent Beauty Kit and another in the Perfume Society Essence Deluxe box. I haven't tried it yet. Maybe I'll use it today.

Palatine is next on my try list. I did quite like the althair, it's quite heavy and gourmandy if you like that kind of thing so probably more one for this time of year if people are wondering when to open them.

Really enjoying the Sirene today - it's grown on me since I first sprayed it a few months back. It's a lovely soft cherry - not as zingy as say your lost cherry (which I also love) but a little softness is not unappreciated and goes well with winter.

Sirène is another I'm looking forward to trying. I meant to do the 12 days of Christmas with the HN calendar but was unwell so didn't.

Sotd is Aqua Di Parma Blu Mediterranean Mandarino di Sicilia. Citrus is definitely my vibe. Lovely although not as long lasting as id like. Can smell the oranges 🍊

Le labo eucalyptus. Absolutely love this. It always makes me smile when I wear it as DH always jokingly says my spirit animal would be a koala (make of that what you will!) and he finds it amusing I adore a eucalyptus fragrance 😂

@IDontHateRainbows good choice! Sirene is absolutely gorgeous 😍 I managed to pick up a few more bottles of it on vinted, I hope they include a FS bottle of it in an AC this year 🤞 I really like the FDB bottles.

Glad you managed to sell the kayali. I thought it'd go fast at £10.

I decided to try althair tonight. I'm not sure if I've tried it already, but it is really nice! It feels too nice to just wear at home.

Tried the delina la rosee tonight. It's nice maybe a bit juicier than normal delina but not too far off to be honest. A lot lighter and think there's some tropical notes in there so think this would be an ideal delina for summer. Still prefer exclusif.

Althair is a lovely gourmand just right for this weather, glad you like it.

Got my kit, yay. So many new scents to try as I also got the Liberty gwp at the time which came with a couple of samples/travel sizes too. I’ll probably go through it very slowly but did a quick sniff test and really like both pdm valaya and bibi vanilla factory. Intrigued to try both properly. Slightly regret the space nk advent now as I think I’ve got far too many as I’m trying to reduce what I have. But I have already sold 3 on before it reaches me next month, as I knew they wouldn’t work for me.

Which kit is this, liberty scent kit? Its a good one. Don't remember valaya in there tho.

Yes the liberty scent kit. Hmm it may have come with the gwp? I put them together soon as I got it. It’s a 5ml.

It'll be a day of testing today as wfh and lots of samples calling me.

Any amouage/ guidance fans, there's a Hearst beauty box on the beauty offers thread just launched which looks amazing and has a mini guidance in. Also a liberty scent. Usually the Hearst boxes are hit and miss but this one is all hit.
