The Perfume Society 'Find a Fragrance' search might be helpful. Just type in the names of the perfumes you like and it will come up with 6 suggestions for similar fragrances:

https://perfumesociety.org/find-a-fragrance/

Chanel: Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum came up with:

Creed - White Flowers
Liz Earle - Liz Earle Botanical Essence No.15
Chanel - Allure Eau de Parfum
DKNY - Be Delicious Fresh Blossom
Elie Saab - Le Parfum Eau de Toilette
Van Cleef & Arpels - Neroli Amara

There were also suggestions for Paco Rabanne Poure Elle fragrances.

ETA - not sure about patchouli notes in the recommendations though? - try the various Coco edits.

@Drowningnotwaving74 Armani Si and Lancome La Vie est Belle both have patchouli in the base.

The Perfume Society have raised their postage flat fee to £7.20, which is steep (considering the Miller Harris discovery set comes with free postage).

I had a couple of the PS discovery sets in my basket but balked at the postage fee. They then came back to me asking why I hadn't purchased so I told them. I think what they gain in postage will be diminished by loss of overall sales.

It is psychological, but I'm more likely to spend £70 with free postage than spend £20 with £7.20 postage

CorneliaStreet · 28/01/2026 16:28

Does anyone have any suggestions for a plum fragrance? I’ve decided I need some more fruity fragrances (as in, I definitely don’t need any more perfume but I want some 😂) and I’d like something dark and fruity rather than fresh and zingy.

MonaChopsis · 28/01/2026 16:43

Perfumistas, can I borrow your expertise? My favourite ever perfume (Woman, by Jasper Conran) is no longer available to buy anywhere except very overpriced on eBay. It has quite an unusual aroma, especially at first, and I don't know where to start looking for a replacement.

The description is: 'Jasper Conran Woman by Jasper Conran is a Chypre Fruity fragrance for women. Launched in 2003. Top notes are Lemon, Ginger and Petitgrain Paraguay. Middle notes are Geranium, Lime and Ylang-Ylang. Base notes are Vetiver, Musk, Oakmoss and Amber.'

Based on that description, is there another brand of perfume that you would recommend I try? Ideally nothing super expensive, but midrange is fine. Thank you!

MonaChopsis · 28/01/2026 16:54

The Perfume Society link above recommended:

Flowerbomb Midnight, Viktor & Rolf
Signature, by Ruth Mastenbroek
Mandarin Carnival, by The Merchant of Venice
Lilac and Pear, by Yardley London
Amber Gris, by Balmain
Pomegranate and Hibiscus, by Woods of Windsor

But they all seem to have quite different scents in them compared to Jasper Conran Woman. Has anyone used any of them by any chance?

The Body Shop are bringing Dewberry back apparently. That may not be what you have in mind though. 😄

Glossier You Reve has plum notes. I have this one, it is nice but it might not be as dark as you want.

Glossier You Rêve is a lush, dreamy gourmand fragrance that opens with rich Buttercream, followed by an addictive center of Plum Butter, Toasted Almond, Iris and creamy white Sandalwood—heightened by a warm, musky base driven by Ambrox. Rêve is a skin-scent enhancer that wears close to the skin and true to you, never overpowering your unique scent—because you are the final ingredient.

From what I can remember it's loads of tiny samples for TPS? I still remember the Fiasco - maybe they have had to up their postage to cover losses from us lot ordering the free -not free box en masse?

DS and Durga Cowboy Grass today. I did open the singles collection - Birthday far too far away ( 2 weeks) to wait!

Lovely, a bit zingy but perfect for the new freshie-curious me!

SOTD is Dylan Purple. I keep coming back to this fruity floral. It opens with a powerful fruit blast but settles down nicely

OvaHere · 28/01/2026 19:10

Angels Share today. Not worn this for a while and really enjoyed it again. I need to put it in more regular rotation.

@MonaChopsis i like the fragrantica reviews for finding similar fragrances. There’s also a section called “this perfume reminds me of” in the page. https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Jasper-Conran/Jasper-Conran-Her-4748.html

@IDontHateRainbows fyi that has clary sage in it which can start contractions in pregnant women, just sharing as you’ve mentioned office and considering what to wear there sometimes

MotherWol · 29/01/2026 08:22

SOTD Beauty Pie La Flaneuse, creamy sandalwood and purple figs, worn lightly as I’m in the office today.

Lurkingshark · 29/01/2026 11:17

@MotherWol this may tip me into beauty pie order. Is it nice? I have been looking at the candles but there’s a bit too much gushing reviews!

IDontHateRainbows · 29/01/2026 11:38

Tried the new tom ford Fig Erotique in selfridges the other day it is lovely but I'm not buying any more at the moment and definitley not the expensive TF. May consider getting a sample at some point in the future.

I am open to potentially getting a DS and Durga following my liberty experience on my birthday, although only if I absolutely fall in love with something. The singles set is really good and scratching my DS and Durga itch - this brand lends itself to travel size more than full bottles for me as it's so experimental.

Anyone tempted, it's still on offer at CB. I'm such an enabler!

Oh gosh, I wouldn't want someone to go into labour because I've over sprayed! No one is publicly pregnant in the office I work in although I suppose someone could be in early preg and not disclosed.

The candles are very nice considering what branded candles of a similar size cost. I buy them for DD sometimes too who really likes them.

I keep meaning to try the fragrance. They had travel set of 3 before Xmas I wish I'd bought to try. I think it had the one @MotherWol mentions.

MotherWol · 29/01/2026 12:15

@Lurkingshark I think their fragrances are pretty decent for the price, although the skincare was fairly mid. I was a member in 2024 and bought 3 - flaneuse, the vanilla and the green botanical. I like them all, they’re fairly safe and not too out there, good for the office. There’s quite a bit on Vinted for less than the (inflated) RRPs. I do think a lot of the reviews are AI generated though which is really off putting.

I can't work out their review system. It appears to be by invite or something. They have an overnight mask I really like and wanted to leave a good review for it only to find there's no way for me to leave reviews even though I've been a member for over a year.

Lurkingshark · 29/01/2026 13:19

Thanks both! I’ll poke around Vinted perhaps. Agree a sampler would be good.

As the angel to @IDontHateRainbows devil 😉 to de-enable DS and durga, they are “challenging” scents. I love the stories snd creativity but find myself wondering if i smell like a petrol station when I try anything on…

Another day working from home and looking after the dog, so I reached for the cosy, gorgeous (and what I don't mind denting whilst wfh) Dedcool Taunt.

I wanted to mix it up a little though, so I put Thameen Riviere with it. Omg! This has become my 2nd favourite combo (obvs can't top you Doux and Gris charnel 👌) Rivière is more dominant at first, but Taunt makes it feel softer and cosier. As it dries down, the gorgeous soft floral side really comes through, wrapped in creamy warmth and musk.
It feels calm, comforting and really elegant, I love it 😍 I can see myself wearing this combo quite a bit.

I know quite a few others bought the SpaceNk FAC and the Harrods FAC, so please check out this combo if you can. Also check out the you doux and Gris charnel combo. It was someone on here that recommended putting those 2 together and I will forever be grateful 🤣
