I like to save the strong ones for days / nights out. I don't wear them to the office. Mon Guerlain or la vie est belle are my office perfumes. I only go in a few times a month so I like having set clothes, shoes, makeup and perfume as I feel weird breaking the routine as it is. It takes me forever to get ready and I always forget something 🙈🤣

Thank you ladies and please keep any rose or light floral suggestions coming. I am off to scroll vinted on the hunt for samples/small bottles to try out some of your suggestions

@Mackemlass79 Diptyque Eau Rose or Miller Harris Rose Silence? I like Small Aromas for buying decants/sample sizes, and Miller Harris do free p&p if you buy 4 samples.

Not a rose scent, but my SOT afternoon is Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl. I keep coming back to the red stiletto. I have the little dabber on my desk at work as I find the dabbers more office friendly than spray. It's a gorgeous, addictive scent. Cherry and almond and all kinds of loveliness.

SOTAfternoon is Guerlain Ambre Samar and oh my goodness, it’s so gorgeous 😍 It’s definitely a bit strong for working from home, but I couldn’t resist wearing it anyway ❤️ It feels warm, rich and completely addictive. This one was a Christmas gift from my mum and the bottle is just stunning ✨ I'm wondering how this will layer with you Doux or even Valaya 🤔

My SOTEvening was Heathens Cowboys and the Santa Ana Winds. I still like it, but I don't really love it.

I 'rediscovered' Mo Ghost absolu today, not that it ever really went away but I had so many other frags I kind of forgot about it. After my shower I couldn't find my usual body lotion, but I had some old mo ghost lotion that i finished off, and then thought I'd layer with the MGA. It's absolutely beautiful, a little sweeter than original MG but I do love it. In the big office today so hope I've not over sprayed, getting a bit para after someone commented the other week, although I'd rather hear the comments than people are muttering behind my back about 'the perfume girl'

Testing L’atelier parfum exquise tentation. I think I got this in the gwp that came with the liberty scent kit. My first spritz made me go ‘ooh’ which was nice. It’s sweet type of fragrance. I don’t have many of this type so it’s a nice change. Reminds me a little of a patisserie. 8ml so a good size. Interested to see how it develops as apparently is a long lasting one. Not something I’d wear a lot perhaps but fun to test out.

This was in the beauty drop box early last year. I don't think I've worn it since but this reminds me it was nice.

SOTD today is pp dupe for chloe narcisse. I was so happy fo find this as it was a favourite of mine in 90s when I was a teenager before being discontinued. I got the small 3ml perfume oil and its very pleasant if a little over powering tho if my mind serves then many of the perfumes of my teen yrs were quite over powering tho I still enjoy white must from body shop, oh how i wish they still did Japanese musk and dewberry if anyone knows any close scents to those I would be happy to give them a try. Has anyone used perfume parlour for dupes? I regularly do and often the roll on oils and so far have found them to be very similar so looking forward to seeing how this one goes over the day

SOTD is LBTY Hera Reigns which we got in the beauty drop this week. I thought it smelled like an ash tray at first but I really really like it. It’s very comforting.

I'm quite happy to pass on all of those!

SOTD Oman Luxury Nasaj from the Perfume Society winter box. I will try to use up a lot of the tiny samples I have, as I have loads of them and not enough room to keep them. The Perfume Society boxes have loads of tiny samples so they are a good place to start.

This one became way too floral for my liking after the dry down. Very screechy floral mixed with vanilla sweetness, really not my thing. Then it settled back down into a more creamy sweet scent which is nicer. Not sure. I think I’ll gift it. Apparently it’s similar to la vie est belle which I haven’t smelt since my teens so don’t remember what it’s like.

Sounds like a not as nice version of radio bombay by DS and Durga which has a quite accurate metallic note in although tempered by coconut and other nice things. There is room for these kind of notes in perfumery, and radio bombay was a grower for me, but it has to be subtle.

Cursing that the big office I'm in today is above a shopping centre with not one but two perfume shops - I always end up having a cheeky spritz of something on my lunch break, today it was the new alien which is quite floral and fruity, ok but not that much resemblence to actual alien. And then of course I get paranoid that everyone can smell me! Will I ever learn?

SOTD has been Floraiku Sand and Skin from the Harrods FAC. It's such a warm, comforting perfume 🧡

I can't wait to go home and try the mini amouage guidance I got in the harpers bazaar beauty box. It also has an ianthe oud but I know I'm not a fan of that one, so will list it. Any amouage fans it's worth checking out the beauty box as amouage is usually ££££££ but always very good and expertly blended.

I've got the mini one from Harrods frag AC 2024 given to me by a friend. I bought a glass sprayer and have been meaning to decant it. I do really like it.

Edit to add - to me it has the same sort of vibe as Diptyque Fleur de Peau. I have a full size of FdP which is, for the moment, what's stopping me chasing the even more expensive full size of Guidance.
