Welcome to the Toast thread where we talk about what we love, (and what drives us mad 😹), about all things Toast.

As usual, pictures are welcomed, as are comments, questions and info about Toastie topics.

I have a question for any Toasties who have the Kitty Clogs. I love mine, but they shred my feet whenever I wear them, but if I wear them with socks as the models all seem to do, I can’t keep them on my feet. Has anyone else had this problem and overcome it? I very much like the new clogs with the back strap..

ScallopShellWalk · 26/01/2026 19:05

@ToastCosILoveIt I have a heavy, thick Donegal knit Toast cardigan that buttons up high on the neck and prob bulky under a coat. I wear it almost every day at home. I have worn it outside as a coat replacement in the autumn and I know I’ll love it still in the spring and next year as it gets cold again. It’s pretty perfect to throw on and be warm. I love it and it feels great on. As it’s so cosy I have decided not to be precious about it. It was expensive and I’m getting my worth out of it.
If that helps you decide.

Barbellaishere · 26/01/2026 19:19

@OrangeyLemonI don’t have those clogs but I know that people wear Pilates socks with the grippy bits on the bottom to solve the slippery slider/mule clog problem - might be worth a try?

OrangeyLemon · 26/01/2026 20:02

Thank you @Barbellaishere! I’ll give it a go 😊

CakeAndJazz · 26/01/2026 20:26

Ooo that’s very helpful @Barbellaishere I have a pair of clogs but hardly wear them for that reason, so will seek out the grippy socks.
@OrangeyLemon what is sizing on the Kitty Clogs like please? I too like the back strap ones and would need space for socks…

ScottishMouse · 27/01/2026 16:47

I’ve asked about this on the Facebook selling group, but in case some folk here are not there. I have been searching for this poncho for ages. I have the navy, which I wear all the time, and should have bought this biscuit colour at the time but left it too late. The other colours are not really for me, so hoping someone might have this at the back of their wardrobe and would be interested in selling. Thanks.

Lovers (& haters & everything in between) of the Donegal Orla jumper. Please tell me if you sized up or not. I tried it a while back in my usual M and although I liked the slightly cropped length, I found the a-line shape not great. I always think that shape just hangs out from my bust in a not super flattering way. But I am wearing my Donegal cardigan all the time and loving it, so am wondering again about Orla and if trying a larger size might give a bit more ease around the bust and shoulders and allow her to hang better. I often think I need one and a half sizes up from what the model is wearing to get a similar look on me, so sometimes fall between sizes and wonder if this will be the case with Orla. Any thoughts? Thanks.

faustina · 28/01/2026 13:14

I noticed you had a happy outcome from your poncho search @ScottishMouse - it's lovely when that happens!

Just came on to ask if I can tumble dry my barrel leg cords? No mention on the website or label

Saurus72 · 28/01/2026 14:36

Lots of lovely new things added to the website - for the first time in a few years there are lots of things that look beautiful and I can’t wait to try them on! In fact, I’m a bit worried about my bank balance!

What looks good to me:

Print dress

Paisley print dress

Check skirt

Blue skirt

Also the railroad skirt. Fingers crossed they’re as good as they look…

Crockery Print Dress | Cinnamon

Crockery Print Dress | Cinnamon

Crockery-print lyocell twill dress with waist ties and side pockets. Available in Cinnamon.

@ScottishMouse with the Orla jumper I would say you may need to try a variety of sizes. I have the emerald in a M and the fawn (the one with multicoloured bits) in a S and they are the same size. I do love them though as they aren’t as thick as some previous version and I find them more wearable.

ScottishMouse · 28/01/2026 15:54

Thanks @Zeusrules, why is that not a surprise 🙄

Countmeout · 28/01/2026 16:50

Thanks for highlighting there are some new items @Saurus72 .
Im still slightly disappointed with what’s on offer at the moment but do like the crockery shirt in blue.
I ordered and returned the check linen type trousers that I loved in navy last year. The cream part of the check is verrrry cream and not for me. Not sure about sizing . I ordered a size up and they were too long in the crotch never mind the colour disappointment.

TosstTastic · 28/01/2026 17:03

Love that crockery dress, need to get me to a shop post haste.

ScottishMouse · 28/01/2026 17:19

Nothing grabbing me in the new drop. I like the sleeveless stripe top/shirt, but I won’t buy out of season so will take a closer look in the spring. I wish they would have more winter knitwear in the jan/feb drops, goodness knows we still need it for a while yet.

I think they are true to size @CakeAndJazz I was going to order my regular size anyway!

ScallopShellWalk · 28/01/2026 19:00

I quite like the sleeveless linen cotton twill apron dress and also the Lydia jersey shift dress. I see the paisley dress is almost oos in all but one size. I guess they’ll get more stock.
I still want linen trousers. I think I too need to visit a toast shop. Even tho I’m not buying much this year. 😀
No rush tho, it’s still jumper season.

ShrankLastWinter · 28/01/2026 21:23

Thanks for the heads up about new stock!

I want to try the railroad skirt but am dithering over sizes.

Snowyowl78 · 29/01/2026 08:13

I quite like the paisley stuff. Bit different for toast. Is the Lydia just the same as all previous Lydia’s??
I want the black jersey skirt.

Nanasueathome · 30/01/2026 13:17

I ordered the Provencal paisley print dress yesterday evening.
its already on the way
i checked shop availability and its not in any of the shops yet

Nanasueathome · 30/01/2026 13:18

It was my birthday on Wednesday so I’ve got a new batch of toast gift cards..yay

IlovePond · 30/01/2026 13:25

How lovely @Nanasueathome - happy belated birthday 🎂

applecatchers36 · 30/01/2026 19:24

Belated birthday greets and what a lovely gift! Hope you enjoy spending them Nanasueathome. Thanks for the posting of new stock, am still catching up with sale which was sadly returned consisted of blue knitted hat and white shirt, both too big. More success with recent reworn stock. Managed to nab a cashmere knit in a good fit and a cinnamon colour way that goes with a lot and a tweed jacket that haven't worn yet but think will be good for spring and autumn.
Spring has got to be round the corner now right?

CheeseonToast2026 · 30/01/2026 19:37

Indeed @applecatchers36 Spring is just around the corner 🌷

I really like a few things from the new drop and also that Toast have relented and they are all in one place.
After not buying anything much in the sale I ordered

Intrigued by the Paisley dress, I will either give librarian vibes or it will be fresh, will report back

Optimistically ordered the Crinkle cotton set and the Jersey skirt-on my wish list that Toast would do a long straight jersey skirt.
Fit checker advised a small in everything so have done as Im told 😅

Countmeout · 30/01/2026 19:42

Happy birthday @Nanasueathome . What a treat to get vouchers.

I've succumbed to the crockery shirt (but rather disappointed to see it’s lyocell) and the linen dress that I know I probably would wear loads but maybe a bit safe. Dispatched already.
I was tempted by that jersey skirt @CheeseonToast2026 . Look forward to hearing how it fits.
