My second and third sale orders arrived at last!

Prob keeping all of it. A pair of socks which are nice but silly price for socks.

Two skirts - Quilted Cotton Linen Skirt | Tilia Honey and Cotton Silk Organza Skirt | Rich Olive.

I ordered 12s. I’m between Toast 10 and 12 - waist 73-74cm and hips 98cm. The 12s are slightly big, especially the yellow skirt, but 10 would have been too small. I might get them taken in slightly one day but they work as they are.

Neither adds matronly bulk around the middle. Both are beautiful fabrics. I’m not totally sure what I’ll wear them with, but both can be dressed up or down.

And a Heathery Wool Sweater | Ginger. This is a neat fit on my 12/small 14 top hakf. Wouldn’t want it smaller. I’d say the M is 10-12 rather than 12-14, which the reviews also imply. I wanted a neat jumper, so that’s fine.

Still undecided on the velvet blazer. Nice with the organza skirt, but I have other jackets in that niche. Have ordered the matching trousers to see if I like the set, which is completely irrational given the EU delivery costs and the impracticality of clothes which need dry cleaning.

I have the heathery sweater @ShrankLastWinter though in oatmeal and I love it. I am a 12 with a bust and hate neat things so initially bought a L, but it just didn’t look right so I swapped it for a M and have worn it lots. It works with so much. I was tempted by the ginger when I saw it in the sale, but I have a similar coloured jumper, and see earlier discussion on lack of colour in my wardrobe!

The Basic Apparel coat I ordered from Mercantile London yesterday arrived today (free next day delivery!) and it's perfect: warm, waterproof and with a hood which sort of folds into a padded collar. It's a big warm coat but miraculously doesn't make me look huge if anyone's looking for similar

What is with those weird refunds that are a penny or two off? I’ve not had any this time, but I have had them in the past.

Has anyone been in a shop today? Yesterday in Llandeilo the assistant told me there was going to be a new drop today.

I was @Scotiasdarling! New drop is in stores but not online yet (I guess they’re still too busy dealing with the sale 🤷‍♀️). I was underwhelmed with what I saw. It all looked a little nautical - reds & navys, stripes. I’ll have another look when it appears online, though they couldn’t say in store when that will be.

Thank you @ScottishMouse , but what a shame that you were not impressed. I was really looking forward to something new, and red would definitely be good for me. It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good!

Well I have just had an order - was a cord jacket- cancelled! Never happened before to me with Toast. The email said ‘We are very sorry that this situation has arisen, and it is only under extraordinary circumstances that we would cancel an order. A system error has led to the piece you chose appearing in stock when it has already been sold.’ Must be really swamped! (Good for my bank account however)

i think it was @Theteapotsbrokenspoutthat got the extra 2p, I too was a victim in being short changed by 1p on the returned mohair round neck cardigan 😌. Very odd of Toast.

I was short changed a penny in Waterstones too. My voucher was £10 and my book was £9.99!

I’ve been watching for a return on the buttoned organic dress. I actually got the size come through in navy tonight. Pleased about that. I really hoped it would be the navy but I would have been happy with the green too. I sized down as many reviews suggested but it was the only size anyway. I fancy a nice silk neckerchief now but I’ll wait till I get what I want. I like the one that’s not in the sale yet.

I’m not buying clothes atm as I have too many and need to stop spending for a bit but shops need supporting if they are to stay open so I’m glad you ordered! 🩷

I’ve had that happen to me with Toast once, four or five years ago during a very busy pandemic sale.

I have that dress, sized down to a 10: love it.

Ladies, where has dispatch caught up to? Debating another (last?) sale order, but only if it isn’t going to take 2 weeks to get to me as I will definitely have lost interest by then.

I thought this - one last order? then thought well, if I know I won’t be interested in two weeks, I’m not interested now.

I’ve had to sell enough mistake Toast ‘sale’ items on ebay to know it was the right decision. More money for September, when all things clothes get really exciting for me.

Yeah, this is probably right @Leftsidefacing, but I am looking at a couple of summer dresses and I always feel reluctant to pay full price for such things as I only wear them for a very short time in the year.

I put an order in on the 3rd and got dispatch notification this evening. I have just put another order in as the Japanese jeans came back in stock and I of course had to have them. Really hope they fit!

The pen and ink dress from Summer is back in all sizes. I almost bought it in the Harrogate shop in July but didn’t as it was an unbearably hot day and it is a such a weirdly heavy dress for Summer that I thought I’d leave it until the end of the trip and hope for a cooler day so I could enjoy trying it on. Then lost interest enough not to go back for it.

Its a really nice design but its so distinctive that I’m tired of looking at it just on the website now.

@ToastCosILoveIt excellent! It’s good to hear you love that dress. I’m quite pleased I managed to get one. I didn’t notice it at first. Looks lovely. I hope it’s not too big for me. How do you wear it?

Hmmmm….that’s still running a bit slow, but definitely improving. Not sure whether to borrow. Looking at the vneck sleeveless linen dress, but not sure on sizing as it may be tight across the bust and under the arms. Also looking at the fine stripe shirt dress, absolutely love this but it might wash me out.

I wonder if Toast has been affected by illness?
That might be the cause of the issues?
I had a very nice email from a bedlinen company telling me my order was delayed because of unprecedented staff sickness, apology etc
I appreciated their honesty !
