General Waifs and Strays Beauty Advent Calendar opening thread 2025 Part 2

This is part two of the 2025 thread for those opening Beauty Advent Calendars not covered by specific calendar opening threads - though happy for those to be shared here too. I’m really enjoying hearing about all the different calendars being opened, including the Frankenstein and DIY ones.

As usual, many of us would really appreciate it if spoilers are not posted before 7am on the relevant day. Please also avoid dropping hints or spoilers about future contents if you have opened the calendar in advance.

Posting pictures of contents is also always much appreciated.

I’ll be continuing to opening the Selfridges and Jo Loves calendars, and look forward to all your updates.

Today in Diptyque there is a 50ml hand and body lotion in Philosykos. I tried it and it's gorgeous- it's a lovely fig scent.

More cheese today - hurray and a green tea bag. Rituals is a mini Jing shower foam - my favourite of the Rituals fragrance so double hurray there!

Managed to create another DOD for myself with more micro Clarins samples, (which is ridiculous of me), but at least I had tossed in a Nest perfume oil sample as well that I had completely forgotten about. I dislike rose perfumes so we shall see.

DDog is fast asleep atm, so I won’t disturb him by getting his treat out atm!

@IlovePond I find that perfume more fruity than floral so you never know. But then I also don't mind rose scents. I find it quite nice layered with floral perfumes to give it a fruity edge.

Now I wish it was bigger! I have never seen anything so tiny with a rollerball - it’s adorable.

Thanks for the new thread @AprilLady. Day 17 for me in F&M was a 10ml 1707 topaz perfume in a snazzy gold atomiser, a Passage d’enfer hand cream in L’AP, and a little body lotion in Korres.

Today I had a Fenty liquid lipstick in boots. It's a gorgeous colour and in a lovely tube. I just need to practice my application now as it is definitely not a strength of mine! 🤣

Today's No7 offering was a exfoliating cleanser - smallish and not v exciting but actually v useful for mini breaks. Is often more difficult to take the right amount of cleanser than other toiletries.

DD's Sephora was a face mask which I think might come my way as she rarely bothers with them!

Small Body Shop day 17 was a strawberry hand cream. Pleased with this as I've passed on the two hand creams that I've had so far as I wasn't keen on those scents so am happy to have one that I will use.

Day 18 - Lime & Bay mini home spray by The White Company

I am happy with this as it is something I would never buy myself, so I am pleased to try it.

So Day 18 of StyleKorean is a triple door:
Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua Fresh Rice + B5 SPF50
D'Alba First Spray Serum 50ml, enriched with white truffle (not the chocolate kind!)
SeaPuri Hair Growth Serum 20ml

Morning all - into the final week!

Day 18 is a double rose perfume day. I love rose scents, so an excellent day for me.

Selfridges is Creed Eladaria. This is a musky, powdery rose. Very pleasant if you like that kind of scent, though not so amazing that I would pay Creed prices for it. I’ll happily use this 10ml though.

Jo Loves is another paintbrush, White Rose and Lemon Leaves. I really like this as a spring/summer scent and have had a 10ml previously. Very happy with this.

Really impressed with the StyleKorean and the beautiful Sylvan Glow calendar. Lovely to get almost all full sizes. I have not tried much Korean skincare, so will seriously consider these next year.

Today's Diptyque revealed a larger 75ml Baies candle. My bedroom is starting to look like a mini Diptyque concession, which I'm quite happy about!

It's a Dermatologica moisturiser in JL today. I am a sucker for fancy packaging and so I often find Dermatologica a bit underwhelming but their products are excellent so that says more about me than about them!

ASOS today is e.l.f. Brow Lift. As my brows have become very sparse and I pencil them in I don’t really have much to lift so will be donated.

Loving this thread, enjoy seeing what everyone else has got but as a relative newbie to BAC's I'm confused by "Frankenstein" calendars that some have made - what are they and what is the benefit ? Sorry if obvious question

Sylvan Glow is Mixsoon Soondy Centella Asiatica Essence. It is to soothe irritation and strengthen the skin barrier. Another great full-size.
