General Waifs and Strays Beauty Advent Calendar opening thread 2025 Part 2

This is part two of the 2025 thread for those opening Beauty Advent Calendars not covered by specific calendar opening threads - though happy for those to be shared here too. I’m really enjoying hearing about all the different calendars being opened, including the Frankenstein and DIY ones.

As usual, many of us would really appreciate it if spoilers are not posted before 7am on the relevant day. Please also avoid dropping hints or spoilers about future contents if you have opened the calendar in advance.

Posting pictures of contents is also always much appreciated.

I’ll be continuing to opening the Selfridges and Jo Loves calendars, and look forward to all your updates.

OK is 300ml Ful hair mask, which I've already got from Glamour in day 7! So I hope I like it.

Glamour is a lovely pair of chunky twisted hoop earrings https://anisasojka.com/products/mini-twisted-hoop-earrings . They're a bit chunkier than I tend to wear, but that's the beauty of BACs and I'll definitely wear them.

@owlpassport I had forgotten I had my eye on those earrings and have just picked up a pair off Vinted, so thank you for the reminder.

Vogue today is 4 x Biodance bio collagen sheet masks and a pore tightening collagen cream. I like these face masks so happy to get a few extra even if the brand doesn’t feel very Vogue

My DIY is an Ilia lash mascara and the Augustinus Bader lash serum, on the fence re the lash serum as have been using one from the Ordinary and I seem to forget more nights than I remember to use it.

Day 22:

Selfridges is an eyeshadow palette by Morphe. The colours look very usable. Slightly sad it’s not a more exciting eyeshadow product - like the Paco Rabanne colorshot from 2 years ago which I have loved and used a lot.

Jo Loves is a shower gel - Pink vetiver. Another new scent for me, though expect it will be a bit masculine. Happy to use as a shower gel though.

A few of us bought those Morphe palettes pre BAC shopping, they are actually really good!

Day 22 of StyleKorean is an Arencia Red Smoothie Serum 30 50g. Looking online it's a bright red gel - very festive!

Today's Diptyque is a DOD for me. It's a miniature boxed soap I've calculated to be worth £5. Sorry I CBA to take a photo😂 Luckily I know there's some lovely things coming up the final days! 😎

Day 22 Jo Loves is Pink Vetiver body wash. I was expecting this might appear to go with the Pink Vetiver body lotion from earlier in the month. It's too masculine for me so will get passed on.

Ooh, I've just purchased a pair from Vinted, they look lovely.

I love all the BAC opening threads, they're great for ideas (but not so great for my bank balance or low buy plans 😂)

Gruum - Day 22 (I've finally caught up with posting!)

Bar of intensive hydrating basin, Lavender & Rose Geranium.

I really like these solid moist bars, they are really useful for travelling send the Gruum ones I've used previously have had a good melt point

A good DIY drawer by me today - Gisou lip oil, cheese in the CC calendar and an exciting tea bag and chocolate.

The Rituals is a very pretty shower gel in a limited edition fragrance, so I am looking forward to trying that.

ASOS is a Kiko Milano lip gloss. Lovely colour so very happy with this.

Sylvan Glow is a Melixir lip treatment. Good to have, especially in the winter.

JL is a Medik8 night cream which costs £60 and the reviews are great. Looking forward to trying this.

LF fragrance is Juliette has a Gun, Miami Shake. This is gorgeous, very unique smell.

Day 23 - Molton Brown Sunlit Clementine & Vetiver

It is very citrusy & it is strong so you only need a tiny spritz. And it’s another one to save for the summer.

Sephora favourites today is the Medik8 crystal retinal ceramide eye 3 eye cream. I'm back home after our holiday and opened all the boxes I had missed yesterday. I have really enjoyed this calendar even compared to my Spacenk.

I love the Milton brown Clementine one! So long lasting.

Today was a milk highlighter, seemingly quite small in boots. I think I remember what's left for tomorrow though unfortunately, although I will be happy with it!

I haven't added my Frankenstein 🧌 items over the last few days on here as I couldn't remember if the products had been revealed from their original calendars and didn't want to spoil anything for anyone.

21st was Drunk Elephant vitamin c serum and Medik8 retinol eye cream from Sephora? I think. Rodial hyaluronic mask from Look Fantastic and the Drunk Elephant cleanser which came with the SNK. I'm looking forward to trying these 😊

22nd was ubeauty Resurfacing flash peel from the cult beauty ac and some hourglass skincare samples. I'm really enjoyed using the ubeauty eye cream from last year's harrods ac and the Resurfacing compound from this year's harrods ac so I've got high hopes for the Resurfacing flash peel.

23rd was Charlotte mensah shampoo and conditioner which I've heard good things about 🥰

Yet another lip oil/balm in JL this morning - Fenty Beauty Melon Treat. Looks perfectly nice but that’s the fourth lip balm thing (By Terry, Rodial, LaNeige on earlier days) plus a (nice) lipstick, seems too many.

Day 23: A really good day today

Selfridges is an AB eye cream. This is I think the most £££ product in the calendar, and I’m looking forward to trying it.

Jo Loves is a 10ml of Pomelo. I really like grapefruit type scents, so very happy with this.

@JoRaRaRa that is a very impressive haul - especially your bumper day 21!

Today's Diptyque is a beautiful Orpheon 7.5ml perfume. One of my favourites so very pleased.

A good day for me today. OK is a Hildun beauty eyeliner in Spiced Pecan, and Glamour is the Vieve Muse palette. The colours might be a little pink/warm for me, but I'm excited to try it and find out. I've heard good things about Vieve.

Day 23 Jo Loves is a Pomelo perfume. It's ok but very strong citrus and I have citrus scents I like better. I feel like this calendar has been very citrus heavy, I was hoping for more of the heavier wintery scents.
