Boots Skincare Advent Calendar opening thread

This thread is for those of us who have the Boots Skincare Advent. I know some of the threads have rules (or requests) not to post spoilers before 7am. I'm not bothered about that but if others would prefer we did include that request, we can.

Now the countdown...

Always happy with a sun cream as I use every day. Haven’t tried this one.

I must have opened 9 instead of 6! Luckily read yours before I posted!

I thought I had done that this morning @TheLemonOtter. But it was just that I had put the box back into the drawer upside down! It was early…….

Today's is a bit meh. I'm not a major fan of sheet masks. I have a load of them and just don't use them.

Same here. They never seem to fit on my face properly. I much prefer pots or tubes. I might try and wipe the contents onto my face and dispense with the sheet!

Same here. I have a collection of them I have never used.

Must try a couple.

I'm another who's not a fan of sheet masks. They just seem so wasteful both from an environmental point of view and also it just seems like it's way too much product in one go and most probably ends up in the bin!
I might also see if there's a way to squeeze the product out of the mask and use it as a serum instead

I'm also not a fan of sheet masks - I hate how cold they feel especially this time of year .. so this is languishing with the rest .. I must try and use up but I'd rather not 😂

Aveeno Skin Renewal cream today - practical more than exciting! But I do get dry, itchy skin especially in winter so this will definitely come in useful

Yeah similar feelings. I've tried Ameliorate before for this and it's been good. Don't use huge amounts. So can give this a go.

Agreed but at least it's a good quality practical one.

Agree it’s not an exciting item but will get used. Actually DH uses Aveeno so might give it to him.

I'll definitely use today's item! I am almost out of a Clarins eye cream and should be better at using them more - sometimes I'm in a hurry and it goes by the way. Happy to try this.

I'm pleased with today's, although it takes ages to use up eye creams so god knows when I'll get to it.

I use eye cream on my upper lip as well as around my eyes. A beauty therapist suggested it a few years ago. Not sure it makes a huge difference but it does seem to soften the lines there.

Oh that's a great idea! I have sensitive skin around my eyes and some eye creams irritate me so that would be a really good was to use them up

Beauty of joseon serum today.

Before anyone starts wondering what's going on, I swapped out the fake tan and gave it to dd as I have zero interest in fake tan.

Was just about to say that’s not what I got when I read first line of your post @OchonAgusOchonOh! I got the fake tan. No interest either but I’ll pass it to my sister or niece.

Not much interest in fake tan here either but I'll put it away for the summer and give it a try then

It's a gradual tan at least so is a bit more natural & easy to apply. I use a bit on my legs throughout winter as I swim in the local gym and it gives my legs a bit of colour so as not to scare ppl

Also a dud for me today as I don't use fake tan but it'll be going into the charity Christmas collection with a few other make up bits.

Pimple patches. Another dud for me. I’ll add it to the other bits I’m not keen on and pass them on.

I thought this was one of the ones I had already opened and the box was empty! Yeah, I won't use these either but DS will so I'll add them to his stocking.
