Boots Skincare Advent Calendar opening thread

OchonAgusOchonOh · 30/11/2025 16:41

This thread is for those of us who have the Boots Skincare Advent. I know some of the threads have rules (or requests) not to post spoilers before 7am. I'm not bothered about that but if others would prefer we did include that request, we can.

Now the countdown...

Thank you for the thread, looking forward to opening tomorrow.
Ive forgotten what’s in so getting excited now.

Peridot1 · 30/11/2025 16:48

Marking my place for tomorrow. Calendar is all set up and ready to go.

Octovent · 30/11/2025 17:08

Christmaschristmas · 30/11/2025 18:32

Thank you, checking in for tomorrow 🎄

Hello! I’m also on waifs and strays as I have more than one but will try to post on both. If anyone does want the 7am rule please say as I’ll probably post early otherwise

I'm happy with early posts. So I guess we'll go with "on the day" unless someone wants a cut off time.

I generally open mine just before I go to bed as that's always after 12 so is on the day. However, I won't be posting until I get up as I'm not on my phone then,

I won’t be checking the threads until I have opened mine, so I’m not too bothered about a time rule.

JustWhatIAlwaysWanted · 01/12/2025 00:09

Hello, joining the thread. I also won't look till I've opened. Not opening now though even though it's now December YAY 🥳 I'll be along in the morning.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 01/12/2025 08:22

Very pleased with today. I haven't tried the Arun milky toner today but have just finisher a TirTir one and really liked that. Full size too, which is great.

I’m happy today too. Love a milky toner and haven’t tried this brand.

In relation to timings I’m usually up fairly early (except for today!) but can avoid the thread if I haven’t opened yet. I’m not worried about posting times.

SavageGarden23 · 01/12/2025 09:56

James Welsh said that milky toner is a great all in one product where you can't be bothered with toners/serum/moisturizer malarky. I agree as I have done just this, have a cold so just dabbed a Laniege milky toner this morning

Peridot1 · 01/12/2025 10:37

I find them good in winter especially as my skin gets dehydrated and can get a bit sensitive and sore. I sometimes use a few layers.

Giftwithpurchase · 01/12/2025 13:54

I'll join as had this and opened it all in November as I had run out of everything! Keen to 'relive' it and hear ppls opinions!

Keffert · 01/12/2025 16:14

Well after saying I would be early I made the mistake of leaving it in the bedroom and dh was still asleep in there when I left for work 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m happy today. Nice big bottle and I like the brand. Not used this product before but I do like milky toners ( and cleansers) when my skin is feeling dry or reactive. I use toner every day so this will definitely get used.

JustWhatIAlwaysWanted · 01/12/2025 17:06

Well I opened this at 7 and then the entire day ran away with me before I got to post! Another happy camper: I like toner and milky soothing products and I'm pleased to see from @SavageGarden23 that it's a handy all in one if you're pushed for time. Will definitely use.

Octovent · 01/12/2025 18:12

I'm pleased with the size of today's- a good start. I use a toner every day but have never tried a milky one so excited to try this one

Christmaschristmas · 01/12/2025 19:58

Another one that's not used a milky toner before, excited to try this. Sounds like it will be good for winter skin ❄️

Peachbubble · 01/12/2025 21:00

Love the Anua brand, so happy to get this for Day 1. Not used their toner before, just the cleanser which I like, so this is a win for me. Huge bottle too!

Peridot1 · 02/12/2025 08:10

Day 2 Burt’s Bees lip balm. Fine. Not too exciting. I’m not sure about the flavour. Haven’t tried it but I would assume it might be a bit sickly.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 02/12/2025 08:44

Dh gets any Burts I get so that's earmarked for him. Not terribly exciting but at least it's a decent brand without petroleum in it.

JustWhatIAlwaysWanted · 02/12/2025 13:40

Yep I have a teen who will make use of this! Might give it a try myself. Salted caramel can be very good but also disappointing. As said though it's a decent brand.

Keffert · 02/12/2025 14:05

I’m happy with burts bees as I like their lip balms. Not so happy with the flavour but I’ll use it anyway. I have lip balms in every room/coat/bag/in the car (and my daughters steal them )so the more the better.

Giftwithpurchase · 02/12/2025 15:12

I had to bin this as the smell was not for me! I tried to give it to DD (5) and it was too sickly even for her 😂.. a shame as I usually like the bb formulation & I wish I'd not opened and tried it but just donated it as I hate to waste things

percypigss · 02/12/2025 18:05

Today’s wasn’t for me but passed it on easily.
Really looking forward to trying yesterdays, once I’ve used up the one I’m using.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 03/12/2025 08:27

Delighted with today's Q&A body exfoliator. I haven't tried it before but have liked anything from this brand I've tried before.
