I have a couple of serums on the go already, so will pop todays Medik8 into my backup. It seems to have great reviews so looking foward to trying. Im very impressed so far!

It's nice to see everyone's reaction to what we get on the day, and share the excitement between us. I tell my partner what ive got, but i doubt he know half of what im talking about😂 I personally dont look at the thread until ive opened my own.

I'm definitely no skincare expert - so I'm looking for advice on how to combine my current tretinoin routine (every other night) with the 2 products from this advent -Tatcha and now the Medik8. I'm thinking of theTatcha in the mornings and the Medik8 on the evening I don't use tret? Any advice/opinions on that combo would be very welcome!

Regarding the opening 'rules' - I agree with @MiaN about this morning's comments, but the suggested compromise about keeping any pre-7am comments fairly general sounds like a good idea which can keep everyone on board 😀

I prefer a Vit C serum in the morning and a more hydrating serum at night so using the Medik8 on the evenings that you don’t use tret is a good plan.

The Vitamin C seems to brighten my skin a little and it would be wasted when I’m just going to bed!

Delighted with today’s drawer!! This calendar has been fantastic so far. I’m thinking of using it after vit c in the morning and before my retinal in the evening but I might skip the morning if I’m running late!!

I think I've been doing it wrong, I don't have time to check in the morning and I find out what it is at lunch when I check the thread. Then I'll know if something good is awaiting for me in the evening and it's been very good so far. 😅
This serum looks very nice, I don't mind trying it, I haven't used much from this brand so far. In the winter I like to layer hydrating serums on top of each other instead of using a rich moisturizer.

I make calendars for DC and they have biscoff chocolate and perfume samples (DD loves them).

I've not tried this one before but I'm happy too. I always seem to run out of cleansers so to get one in a calendar is always a plus.

Morning all, this is my first meh drawer.

I will use it either in the shower in the morning or as a second cleanse in the evening but I'm using the niacinamide serum from the same brand currently on my non-retinal nights and it's just not very exciting. It doesn't have any negative effects but I'm not sure I'm seeing much benefit of it either although that may just be because I'm only using it twice a week, so maybe not being very fair.

It might also be because it's unscented and I do like a product that smells divine. I had this discussion last year on the Space NK advent thread about a drunk elephant product that is perfectly lovely but unscented, so for me (without sensitive skin) it's not really a pleasure to use.

I'm probably a bit weird but sometimes when I feel like I need cheering up, as a way of avoiding eating chocolate, I'll sometimes put some lovely smelling face cream on, or some scented hand cream or a spritz of perfume or burn a lovely scented candle...nice smells really cheer me up 🤗

Always happy to see a cleanser (so long as it’s not an exfoliating one - remember the year they all were?) and a lovely big size too. May not be exciting but it’s very useful.

Also happy with the cleanser, it’s a great size and I’m running out of my current Elemis balm so need something else.

I’ve got an open copper peptides bottle but broke my rule (that I never stick to anyway) and opened medik8. It was nice not to smell like metal last night.

I'm pleased with the cleanser, it's a good size and will be perfect to pop in the shower for mornings 😊 I suffer with hormonal acne and have been having a painful flare up recently, this includes niacinamide which is good for acne and break outs ☺️ so I'm really looking forward to trying it.

I agree. I like a little bit of nice scent and struggle to enjoy things like cleansers that are totally unscented. That said I do like Naturium products and I use gel cleansers on a morning so I will give this one a go.

I’m very happy with today’s drawer, I‘ve almost ran out of cleanser and have been squeezing every last drop out hoping there was one in the calendar!

It’s always useful to have a cleanser; it’s one of those products where I’m not loyal to any particular brand so it will just go in the rotation for when I get to it.

I used the Medik8 last night and again this morning. I use No7 Future Renew usually which is also a peptide serum so that’s my baseline for judgement - Medik8 feels similar but not as hydrating so I needed another layer of moisturiser over it last night. Seems to be behaving under my makeup so far this morning but I really don’t like the pump on the bottle, it’s really difficult to express the right amount of product. Squeezy bottles maybe be less luxe looking but work an awful lot better.

I’m one of those people who just loves washing their face! And I haven’t tried this brand before. And despite being middle aged ++ I’m still oily. So this ticks all the boxes did be again- will prob put in my gym bag.

i have stopped telling my best pal (who doesn’t have the calendar) about my daily advent joys because it was starting to feel like gloating :) …so I need this outlet!

I'm really enjoying the calendar so far and so pleased with my choice. Was a Liberty AC before and although I do miss the more traditional box design, think the products are better for me in this one this year
