Excited for tomorrow 😊

Mornings are going to be so much easier with a treat 🎄

Be really interested to see how you all find this. Drying, exfoliating, calming etc. I'm not 100% sure my skin and niacinamide get on too. It's a nice big size, no little tube that lasts a few washes.

SocksAndTheCity · 05/12/2025 09:48

I'm also always running out of face wash and this is the perfect shower size so I'm happy too! I have a piddly little tube of 111 in there atm (probably from a previous advent calendar) so I'll switch them over and stick that in my travel bag 😀

Is niacinamide good for reducing pores? I seem to remember that from somewhere 🤔

IDontKnowWhatYouMean · 05/12/2025 10:36

I like a rinse-off cleanser, so this is good for me 👏

I’m a bit blown away by all the different ingredients in each day’s products. I’ve heard of them all but am never sure what each one actually does!

Is it ok to be adding to my routine a new Vit C, peptide/GF and now niacinamide all in the same week?

BabyPigeon83 · 05/12/2025 10:39

Oh I'm actually using this one right now, and it's on it's way out. This is my second one so I do like it. I use it in the morning and it's not drying for me. I am prone to breakouts and niacinamide does work well against them. I get dry skin in the winter so I just need to moisturize more. I think applying a hydrating toner right after washing makes the difference. All in all another good day. 😊

Hicupping · 05/12/2025 10:58

Niacinamide is a jack of all trades amazing ingredient which is why it's in so many things. I've made a policy of trying pretty much everything in the calendars so I'll probably try the wash. Uming and ahing about th Tatcha due to fragranced oils in it, don't think there's much though so when I'm finished with Sturm's good C might try it.

NorthFaceofthelaundrypile · 05/12/2025 12:31

This one I’ll be passing on to DS 15.
I’s also squeezed into the box a Medik8 C-tetra luxe, which I use daily.

Caggie09 · 05/12/2025 13:49

Dont mind todays, i do prefer hydrating cleanser/milks. I do use a cleanser like this once a week, so will get used. Not tried anything from this brand before either, so nice to try something new.

MiaN · 05/12/2025 15:58

I don't have acne prone skin but my son will appreciate it. Another full size products and all of the products so far will be used!

TrappedPotato · 05/12/2025 17:50

I’m not wowed by the drawer, but I’m happy to have a cleanser as it’s very useful!

Flaneura · 05/12/2025 18:48

I have been looking for a alternative for my usual Ren facewash that I use for second cleanse, and really happy to get this one.
The ingredients list is very promising; I've tried it and it doesn't strip my skin either. But maybe leaves a slight residue? Not sure.... I need to try it a few more times.
But all in all very happy with product and this calendar. Are the SNK calanders always thus good?

In my opinion, yes. I didn't buy it only one year since they do advent calendars and I regretted it. I buy it every year. They seem to be getting better every year too

Late opening for me as this morning was a mad rush. Annoyingly this evening I was in such a hurry to remove my makeup and clean my face that I didn’t open it until after. Anyway I am again very pleased, it’s another brand I haven’t used before so interested to see how I’ll get on.

Batteriesoptional · 06/12/2025 06:48

Well this morning has pushed me firmly outside my comfort zone. Am keen to hear from those who’ve used this or similar products and whether there are any real benefits.

JoRaRaRa · 06/12/2025 07:26

I'm excited to try out the REFY brow gel, not sure what I think to the milk primer. It retails at £35 for 45ml, so it's not in my cheap category, but I do like to pay a bit more for products that will sit on my full face all day. I know it's a trending product, so I am looking forward to knowing what all the fuss in about 🤣

I use braw gel daily, so very happy to get full size. I like the brush inside the lid - very useful.

Not sure about the hydro gel spray, this is the first product from the advent that I am not too sure it is going to be used. 6 days, 7 full sizes!!! It is to be expected there will be some that don't appeal and I will give it a chance.

So pleased you posted a picture, I hadn’t noticed the brow gel! I started using one from Benefit several months and it’s become a staple. Look forward to trying this one.

NessShaness · 06/12/2025 07:35

Ooooh a double drawer!

I use the milk primer and it’s really good, so I’m excited to try the setting spray! I also use a brow gel already, so I’m happy to try this one from another brand.

A good day for me 😊

Hopeandfaith1990 · 06/12/2025 07:38

The milk primer in the calendar last year was a real hit for me - I don’t usually rate many of the primers I’ve tried but the milk one was very good. I feel like there was also a brow gel last year but it’s a good product so I’m looking forward to trying both. What’s annoying is I just got a full size bottle of the Charlotte tilbury setting spray because it was in the black Friday sale so not sure I’ll be opening the milk for a while - they seem like very similar products!

It was the benefit one that got me into brow gels 😍 I do like the benefit one, but I much prefer bare minerals now, mainly because the dark brown matches my eyebrows perfectly. I'm hoping this refy one is good even though it's clear so I don't have to buy another for a while 🤞🤣

Caggie09 · 06/12/2025 07:39

Im happy with the brow gel, running out of my usual brow product so handy! I dont use setting spray so i did sell that on.

SocksAndTheCity · 06/12/2025 07:51

Bloody hell I was up and out early today and didn't even see the brow gel! That's another win 😀

I misted my face with the spray before I put my moisturiser on though - I don't need a makeup setter, but the hyaluronic can't do any harm and I think it'll be nice in summer.

MiaN · 06/12/2025 07:56

Benefit, colourless 24 hour braw gel is my favourite but more then happy to try another! I am really enjoying the mascara from previous day - it's excellent. My favourite is Chanel Inimitable but this is contender.

The spray is intense - spray from far and expect good bit of liquid coming your way. It feels refreshing. I am not sure they extend the life of makeup to be honest but if you over powder it corrects/blends it nicely. I will try give it a go. It sounds like there are few hydrating ingredients so double duty as skincare. My initial, few seconds after application is good - I will report later.

MiaN · 06/12/2025 07:58

Oh, this advent is such a treat. I am really enjoying it!

mynameiscalypso · 06/12/2025 08:13

Extremely happy with today, I have Charlotte Tilbury versions of both of these on the go at the moment but I’m not necessarily wedded to them. I do like a setting spray and find it does make a big difference to how fresh my make up looks at the end of the day. I do find the CT one a bit drying - although I guess it’s a balance between that and ending up too shiny! - so keen to give this a go.

Having lurked on some of the other threads, I think this calendar is definitely winning so far!

Seahorses12 · 06/12/2025 08:15

Very pleased with today's duo. I haven't used a setting spray before so I'm keen to try this and it has great reviews. The brow gel is an added bonus.
