@IlovePond I can usually pan an eye cream fast but I've just finished an Allies of Skin peptide eye cream that went on forever. I couldn't work out why it lasted so long as it was the standard 15ml but I've come to the conclusion it's the pump delivery. The little jars you use a finger for I probably over apply.

My oft purchased Estee Lauder ANR eye cream that's a gel texture really lends itself to over use whereas the AoS dispenses a tiny amount (which is really all you need). I think AoS has lasted twice the time EL has despite both being 15ml. This isn't a bad thing as the AoS is very expensive so if I was to repurchase at least I feel like I get value for money.

CorneliaStreet · 06/12/2025 08:19

@OvaHere I definitely use up eye creams in jars faster than pump ones. I get too much out and then don’t want to put in back so end up putting the rest on my forehead or something.

DP is horrified by the amount of beauty products in my bathroom cupboard, so it’s a good thing he doesn’t know about all the other ones hidden under piles of clothes in the bottom of my wardrobe 😆

IlovePond · 06/12/2025 08:23

I think that’s it @OvaHere - I try not to get too much of that gel out at once but it’s almost impossible!

@OchonAgusOchonOh - I am quite good at moisturising my arms and legs, (just realised I never bother with the rest of me 😹) but I have dozens of body lotions to get through too 🙀 Maybe I should live life on the edge and start moisturising my torso too!

SunnyPinkMoose · 05/12/2025 19:43

@Thelifeofawife @JoRaRaRa tell me to mind my business but where do you put all your bits ? Your perfumes? I bought a lovely box from the range and have put ( I went crazy) all the perfumes in it . But I just have nowhere to put the two edits and one calendar stuff 😂 I’ve got to find somewhere before my mum who has a nose for my wayward behaviour comes over at Christmas !

I have several Perspex make up organisers, mainly perfumes and a few lipsticks. These live is an old cocktail cabinet by my dressing table that I also store my nicer bags and shoes in. I have several make up bags on the go, sorted by every day, nicer/premium and a holiday one.

For skincare I have some ribbed storage boxes from Dunelm stacked under my dressing table. Haul is sorted into brands and put into very glamorous freezer bags. When I’ve run out of my current creams/serum I pick a new bag and use that range.

@QueefofSheena - sorting by brand is a good idea! I have got all my Shiseido stuff in its own bag and the Aldi bargains in one box. My Korean BOH range is also in one place so I will use it together when I get to it. My EL stuff lives in a lovely gold EL bag that I got when I was still buying their top of the range products at Christmas! (Spectacular bargain one year from HoF!)

Everything else is just random stuff that I have picked up and squirrelled or am using.

I tend to have all my make up accessible for use in my make up cupboard. The exception is a few bits I bought in Seoul that I am saving until I have used up what I have now.

On a related note: Since discovering my lovely Korean lip tints and blush pots I have been ignoring my existing products, (even my beloved Shiseido!) I must remember to rotate them.

XiCi · 06/12/2025 09:03

Tell me more @Ilovepond . I've used Korean skincare for years but the make up has mostly eluded me

IlovePond · 06/12/2025 09:16

@XiCi - I discovered Fwee in Seoul and love their lip tint and am using it all the time! I have since bought a Fwee pudding pot from Boots to use at a later date. I didn’t mind paying the inflated price in Boots as it was free with points.

I have another lip tint - it might be from Saem- that I use all the time - it gives really good coverage.

I bought a concealer stick from TirTir which I haven’t used yet and a lip gloss. I also have a couple of the TirTir mini lip glosses bought from Boots when I saw one in an a/c and thought, ‘Ooh, pretty, shiny!’ (One of these I also got free with points.)

I stayed away from Korean eyeshadow and powder blush as they still often use talc in these products, (as in the UK). I tried to check ingredients, but it wasn’t always possible.

My favourite make up item, (possibly ever in the whole world ever😹) is the Fwee dupe blush/lip pot I bought in Daiso’s flagship store in Seoul for the princely sum of £1.50. I am using it every day and ignoring everything else, (sorry HG😹)

Why oh why didn’t I buy more of these and all the Daiso lip tints???🙈

Top tip: If you ever find yourself in a Daiso make up aisle with a bunch of Korean teenagers ‘fighting’ over blush pots - join in!

I’ll post some pics in a bit.

I was putting the serum under the body cream. I figured if I do it for my face, no reason not to do it for my body.

I'm the same with arms and legs but not doing torso. I need to start doing that too.

IlovePond · 06/12/2025 09:25

NY resolution for both of us @OchonAgusOchonOh - operation smooth skin all over!

QueefofSheena · 06/12/2025 09:30

I need to use face creams that are new but elderly or not a brand I like on my arms and legs to use them up. It will make me feel better about the haul 😬

IlovePond · 06/12/2025 11:08

As promised @XelaM here is a pic of my KBeauty haul - mostly acquired in Seoul but some is UK purchased.

NY resolution for both of us @OchonAgusOchonOh - operation smooth skin all over!

We will be only gorgeous.

I put some of the never ending serum under my body cream today.

IlovePond · 06/12/2025 11:42

❤️ @OchonAgusOchonOh

In the same spirit, I put a cheapie Aldi eye cream failed purchase on my legs this morning.

I feel both daring and reckless!

OchonAgusOchonOh · 06/12/2025 11:43

That is daring @IlovePond .

Thank you. That all looks amazing. Im very jealous you got to go to Seoul. I think my spending would be uncontrollable if I was out there 😁

As promised @XelaM here is a pic of my KBeauty haul - mostly acquired in Seoul but some is UK purchased.

Wow that haul looks fabulous, the colours would be perfect for me.
Can I ask where you buy from in the UK or do I need to book a trip to Korea next year?

IlovePond · 06/12/2025 12:12

@XiCi - sorry - I tagged you wrongly last post 🙈 beauty products are so cheap in SK compared with here. For example: Face masks ranged from 25p to £1 each - with the £1 ones being from ‘good’ brands. The Fwee lip tint was about £6/7 and I got a free mini thrown in.

@Fairyliz The only item in my picture that I bought in the UK is the Athe lipstick which I got from PureSeoul on Charing Cross Road.

However, Boots sell TirTir lipstick and the TirTir concealer and the Fwee pudding pots. (I have a Fwee pudding pot but the ones in my picture are the Daiso dupes.)

My trip to Seoul was very last minute, (I haven’t been able to go abroad for years so I got over-excited and went for it with three weeks notice!) I loved the shopping, but my ability to do much of it was severely curtailed because my holiday buddy was adult oldest DS who has below zero tolerance for shopping unless it’s stuff he wants 😹

This was probably not a bad thing, since I came back with quite a lot anyway. I posted my whole haul, (including skincare), on an earlier thread somewhere a few weeks ago and it will take me a while to get through!

QueefofSheena · 06/12/2025 12:18

I took delivery of and opened the Lumene AC today. I’m very happy for £40. The FS products are ones I use and the minis are ideal to go in my travel bag. I don’t think there were any duds and I knew it was largely minis. A decent mix of products

Thelifeofawife · 06/12/2025 12:56

@SunnyPinkMoose I have my ‘current use’ skincare & fragrances in a beauty pod on my bedside table, and I have skincare in my bathroom drawer as well, and I have a couple of make up bags.
Since finding these threads it’s gotten out of control so the rest of my stash is in under bed storage boxes (the big ones you’re supposed to put clothes in! 🙈😅)
I also now need to find homes for all of the fragrances I’ve bought recently; I used to stick to the same 3 bottles 😅

One of my friends has a display cabinet for all of her fragrances, she probably has as many as us lot combined!

TragicMuse · 06/12/2025 13:38

For storage, virtually the whole top of my chest of drawers is a range of tubs and boxes of makeup, hair stuff and scent. Then I have serum and day and night creams right next to the bed as I put them on first and last thing.

And then I have a large log basket with my stash which is all sorted by type - serums, moisturisers etc - and kept in old beauty drop boxes.

I do seem to have a lot but will be punting a fair bit into the Christmas stockings and next year will be doing my best to manage my stash and use it up!

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 06/12/2025 19:00

Ok. Confession time. Here is my stash. All items of furniture are full. Plus I keep currently in use make-up items in a dressing table drawer and bath & body products in both bathroom cabinets/drawers. I have bought three ACs this year, none of the contents of which have made their way into any of the storage. I obviously need therapy! I shall though be making up some goodie bags for a local charity to sell or raffle.

This is all making me feel so much better about the size of my stash! I have all things used on wet/just out of shower skin/hair in the bathroom as I don't like steam anyway 🤣 then just haircare on a shelf in the wardrobe (this really needs a tidy!) I got a label maker and made little labels with stickers for all my acrylics so I can easily tell which to pull out - that made me feel very accomplished and fancy 🤔

My current skincare sits in a horribly organised ikea acrylic storage thing next to the sink - I feel inspired to reorganise that and my haircare shelf now!

i am overjoyed at the response on where does it 😂 . I am motivated , I am going to clear out a large draw of socks , and am going to line it all in there then cover with thin layer of socks . I have no space under my bed and a small bathroom cupboard already stuffed .

And I am as a takeaway going to slather stuff also over my torso . I don’t regularly use hand cream on hands I don’t like slippy sensation so I think I will apply to legs . It’s a full time job this malarkey rotating and organising 😂😂😂 who has time for kids and cooking and the rest of the house plus Christmas 😏 thanks to all I love a pic as well it definitely makes me feel better !

Oh this thread makes me feel so much better. Next time dh says “how many creams do you need?” I’m going to show him some of the pics.
I’ve been doing really well at using up my stash, only letting myself have one of each on the go at once helps. I actually find it really satisfying finishing things off. This week I’ve finished a serum, a day moisturiser, a shower gel, two toners (one acid one normal so therefore different types of product 😉), a body scrub, a body moisturiser and a deodorant. I have realised that I have way more night creams than day in my stash
