I liked Kate’s look today . Chic and business like . I’m really hoping she wows us tomorrow night with a new frock ( but not lace ). Thank god there’s no such thing as a double breasted evening gown!

KiIIingMeDeftly · 18/11/2025 21:41

What's happening tomorrow night?

KiIIingMeDeftly · 18/11/2025 21:42

Also, I think Diana's had a double-breasted evening gown! It was a halter-neck style in velvet and I'm sure I saw it on display once.

Choux · 18/11/2025 21:49

Et voila! I like it as I am a big green fan. I think she pulled it off despite it being double breasted.

Kate definitely wears hair pieces and has done for years. Lots of celebs do. She's gorgeous and her delivery today was more relaxed and confident.

Sidebeforeself · 18/11/2025 21:56

It’s the Royal Variety perf tomorrow isn’t it?

I love green too but nope .. can’t forgive this one!

Found you! 😀

it was the annual diplomatic reception at Windsor castle tonight and Camilla wore the Greville emerald tiara (seen once before on Eugenie for her wedding). Lovely to see her try something new. Charles wore knee breaches and garter with his uniform - I’m willing to bet William didn’t though! No Catherine tonight.

I think tomorrow will be a re-wear. But you never know, perhaps a “nod” to Diana’s double-breasted number is on the cards

Maireas · 18/11/2025 22:37

Double breasted halter neck with huge buttons and massive lapels? Noooo.

Nice to see the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik brought out again. They need to be worn! Classic look from Cams in the white dress.

Remember when the royal ladies had a fur over the top of their gowns on cold winter nights. Wonder if they put something heated up in the royal box for Catherine.

bluegreygreen · 18/11/2025 23:23

Is the ruffled blouse today the same one Catherine used with the Victoria Beckham suit?

Like the emerald tiara - a change from sapphires for the Queen.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 18/11/2025 23:27

If she's going to do a rewear then she should opt for one of the evening dresses she wore on the Caribbean tour.

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 18/11/2025 23:28

I love Catherine’s pale blue Jenny Packham. Such a beautiful dress.

Choux · 19/11/2025 07:58

Day 8 - I think this is the last day! Sophie visited a women’s cooperative in Belize and learned about their work in empowering women through traditional crafts and entrepreneurship. She tried both pottery throwing and crushing corn by hand to make corn tortillas. Fashion wise it was still a pattern but only on the skirt. The outfit is not her best of the tour but it was covered by an apron for much of the visit and she seemed happy to be meeting the locals esp the children.

The Women's Collective, that's great. Lovely photos.

Thanks for all these Sophie photos @Choux . I may not love or even like all her choices, but I do enjoy seeing someone in the public eye embrace prints and patterns.

Can't see the skirt well enough to comment on the print, but points for mixing things up a bit and wearing a skirt, albeit a very long one.

The Valentino dress from the other day was a bit of a disappointment to me: we've seen it before, but not a good enough photo to see properly. I thought then that the band at the bottom and the detailing might be a repeat of the paisley from the body of the dress, but scaled down. That's a design trope I like, so I'm miffed to discover that the contrasting bits are a colour clashing white and a different pattern. Don't like the buttons on the pockets either - too military looking.

Cassiope · 19/11/2025 08:43

@bluegreygreen Is the ruffled blouse today the same one Catherine used with the Victoria Beckham suit?
Yes. She's worn it several times. It got Austin Powers comments when she wore it with a black outfit to the rugby (just after the Duchess of Kent had died). I like it much better than the pussy bows she sometimes wears.

deeahgwitch · 19/11/2025 08:59

Do you think Cams was sending a* *not so subtle message to a certain family, wearing the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik ?

eggandonion · 19/11/2025 09:59

Im not sure if she was wearing it to assert authority over the Yorks or Sussex. Wasn't it the tiara Meghan wanted?
Its a nice tiara for walking around.

Maireas · 19/11/2025 10:04

I believe all the tiaras belong to the monarch, they get loaned out for weddings and banquets etc. I don't suppose there's any more to it than people making a choice.

OP posts:
AllTangledUpInTitlesTiarasAndTinsel · 19/11/2025 10:11

I really don't think they would bother with sending that kind of message.

Eaumyword · 19/11/2025 10:14

I just think she thought she'd change it up! Wearing white, it would be a pop of colour and how best to do that than with huge gulls egg-sized emeralds?!🤷😆
