Maybe Sophie uses a very expensive laundry service at some point during her travels . Or ambassadors organise a local service wash.
She must be tired...if it's Tuesday it's Belize.

Cassiope · 17/11/2025 22:08

I'm enjoying her summery dresses, at any rate. Actually I'm not wild about any of the last few, but.... warm, sunny weather clothes. The deep blue blouse was good.

Made it @Maireas. Thanks for the thread 😆

Now I know she has the bag and shoes from this outfit in her suitcase I am waiting for this dress to make an appearance in Central America.

I like the idea of being a shepherdess! (Although the ones near me wear wear very serviceable waterproofs and boots 🌧️)

Wellies and a tiara is an acceptable look I'm sure.

Found you! This trip of Sophie's seems to be going on for ever.

Central America Day 7. No full length shot as yet. Like the bag and the sleeve detail. Don’t love the print.

This is a good look on Sophie and her hair looks nice too.

I almost feel bad critiquing her clothes on these trips though, as the cause is so important.

Maireas · 18/11/2025 08:02

Sophie looks lovely, and it's a great cause. I actually like the floral vibe, which suits this tour completely.

Short sleeves and an ice cream...
<shivers longingly>

Eaumyword · 18/11/2025 08:30

Oh I LOVE that dress on Sophie.
It is very very cold here this morning and the husband insists on throwing every window open to 'let the fresh air in' 😆
Dog and I are snuggled together!

Cassiope · 18/11/2025 08:48

Gas CH is bad for indoor air quality, so theoretically your husband has a point. The Germans are apparently big on fresh air indoors (there's a word for it, which I have forgotten). Their approach is periodically to throw all the windows wide open, for about 5 mins to change all the air, then close them again. The theory is that because this is quite quick, you replace your warm but polluted air with fresh, cold air yet don't lose much radiant heat from the furniture, fabric of the building etc.

Cassiope · 18/11/2025 08:55

I'm not keen on the baby blue background or cutout neck (ugh) of the ice cream dress. I like the vertical floral placement print on the last one, however the generously fluted sleeves make it look very twee, which rather spoils the overall effect to my eye.

Hello all 👋 Thanks for the new thread @Maireas 💐

Bit early but I've switched to a festive name.

We'll see Catherine soon at the Royal Variety show. Hopefully in a fab new outfit!

The jabot again! When she finds something she likes then she really does stick to it, doesnt she? The suit is Roland Mouret and though the cut is good, I find the colour a bit drab.

Maireas · 18/11/2025 18:13

Yes, smart, on trend with the blouse but I dislike grey, whatever the shade.

ExquisiteDresses · 18/11/2025 18:23

I don’t think the grey suite her terribly and I don’t like bows on blouses full stop. It looks a bit cluttered with the suit lapels and hair worn forward. I think 6” off her hair would be a good move. It looks better in the photo where it is tucked behind one ear.

frugalkitty · 18/11/2025 19:02

Sneaking in late to the new thread, thank you as always Maireas!

Cassiope · 18/11/2025 19:17

I'm very fond of that shade of pale grey - I think it's beautiful and so much better than yet more beige. Paired with the white ruffled blouse it looks elegant and feminine. Not enthusiastic about the design of the suit on this occasion though: slanted pocket flaps and only one button on the jacket.

Choux · 18/11/2025 20:19

Sophie’s still working in pattern in Belize - she’s wearing a Valentino dress this time. And I found a great full length photo of the last dress. I like it better in the full length shot I think.

I agree about her hair - it always looks better when tucked. I think that was part of the issue when she 'went blond' and was accused of wearing a wig, it just looked too full on.
