In these situations I buy the item at the discounted price and return it on the original receipt, if its unopened then not an issue, will do this with my JL calendar if it goes down.

Its basically everything in selfridges you have to be a keyholder ie join their loyalty programme.

I'm seriously eyeing up the tom ford!

Unfortunately, my husband ordered it at the beginning of October so it's too late to send it back. It's still boxed and wherever he hid it and I'm not getting it until Christmas day 😕

I am signed up to sephora, but I don't know what I want 🤣 probably a sign that I don't need anything. I'll just go cry about the PDM calendar 😭🤣

@JoRaRaRa take comfort in your exceptional bargain hunting skills as a whole. And what a lovely gesture from your OH and in such good time.

SOTD animalique by Byredo from last years mega set. It’s ok, but not a fan of something in it. Mimosa possibly according to notes.

I like Animalique, it's the powdery one isn't it. If you are interested in swapping it for something, PM me!

I've gone for afnan cherry bouquet, not marketed as a TF lost cherry dupe but it smells really similar to my nose. I like it anyway. It's a deep cherry without too many extras.

I'd love to try this. Can you recommend where to buy it?

Neroli Nasimba by Maison Crivelli. It softens nicely and I fancied something comforting as it’s really grey here today

I tried this when I was exploring lots of neroli scents in summer. I found the citrus/neroli quickly swamped by leather and didn't like it for summer but thought I might try it again in winter. Interesting that you find it comforting.

Notino. Its around £40 for a massive bottle. Or they do discovery kits for about a tenner.

Sniph fragrance AC down to £106 with discount and code ADVENT10

Not familiar with this brand but have seen influencers talking about it. A bit like Phlur maybe?

Very inoffensive M&S White Coconut today. One thing I’ve learned during this thread is which occasions to use which perfume, will be near people today. Description is “Escape to sun-soaked shores with the White Coconut eau de parfum from our Discover collection. Creamy coconut and tropical florals blend with soft citrus and sea salt for a bright, uplifting scent. Warm notes of vanilla, amber and sweet blossom add depth that lingers beautifully on the skin.”. It smells a bit high street when you spray it So…?, but the dry down is lovely and creamy. Silage is sensible, don’t have to have your nose right up to your skin but not huge either.

M&S have 25% off so these perfumes are even more of a bargain. There’s a set of all their new EDPs here currently £22.12 https://www.marksandspencer.com/eau-de-parfum-intense-gift-set/p/hbp60738204 I’ve sniffed them all in store and the only one I don’t like is neroli. I really like Soft Iris, it smells like the top notes of Commodity Milk Orchid, though no idea about the dry down.

IDontHateRainbows · 25/11/2025 07:33

Managed to swerve most of the BF deals so far although I ordered another space nk fragrance cracker - at £24 for three perfumes it's an absolute steal! As Selfridges wanted me to pay another £10 for the annual next day delivery charge that put me off buying anything from there, probably a good thing.

Scent wise I haven't chosen for the day yet but it's an office day (and the non regular office where they don't know me as well) so thinking maybe Mo Ghost Absolu.

In my regular office I have some mini dabbers in my pen pot and do a cheeky dab mid way through - decided dabbers/roll ons better for the office than sprays. They all know I'm a perfume addict there and so long as I don't go in reeking... a couple of the other girls in the office are also into perfume so we end up bonding over it sometimes which is nice.

The Warm Neroli is supposed to be a dupe for Lady Million, but I don't know what that smells like. I like it [Warm Neroli] but don't love it. I've only tried the EDT, not the new EDP Intense yet, although I have bought the new set.

Soft Iris is supposed to be a Coco Mademoiselle dupe. I'm always sceptical of these comparisons but M&S Under the Palms is extremely close to MM Replica Beach Walk.

Angel's Share is my SOTD.

IDontHateRainbows · 25/11/2025 13:27

Tried a spritz of good girl blush as I was walking past the perfume shop. didn't rate this when I tried it before, too much patchouli, but I'm quite liking it now .Also tried la bomba but I just can't get into it, it's too sweet to my nose. Dangerous being in this office near the perfume shop!

SOTAfternoon kilian love, don't be shy. I like this, it’s warm, girly and sweet. It's not as elegant as I usually like, seems very immature compared to some of my other feminine fragrances, but I will still wear it 🩷

I'm now starting to plan which perfumes to take to Tallinn with me at the weekend. I'm thinking Creed Queen of Silk, BDK Gris Charnel, Adp spice and oud and then maybe samples of pdm cassili and ganymede ✨

I felt the same about La Bomba. I have a full size GGB. I like that one, it's nice but inoffensive for office days.

Trying Commodity Juice again today. I like this one but can't see me buying a bottle of it. I don't think overall I'm a fruity scent person. Florals/Powdery or sweet/oud gourmands are more my tastes seasonally.

CorneliaStreet · 25/11/2025 17:39

I’m trying Vyrao Georgette this evening, from one of the Cult Beauty scent edits earlier this year. At first all I could smell was patchouli, then violets and now there’s more rose coming through.

Not sure about it, think this one will take a few wears to figure out if I like it.

MiaN · 25/11/2025 17:39

La Bomba is sweet overdose, I only like it when I am in mood for it. Being fruity vs dessert type help a little but not something I can pull off outside

I really struggle to get on with any of the Vyraos, for some reason. They just seem a bit too... I don't know, like they have tried too hard and they would be better to keep it a bit simple.

The new rare beauty perfume, rare eau de parfum, is lovely. Not sure quite what is in it, its like a spicy gourmand but warm and gentle, not sharp. Caramel, pistachio, cinnamon, ginger and sandalwood apparently.

I've wanted to try that since it came out. I did read that it didn't last long.

paristotokyo · 25/11/2025 22:22

@IDontHateRainbowsthat was in my Sephora basket which I emptied in a moment of virtue as I really don’t need it! (along with all the other things..). I tested in store a while ago and it was nice but it didn’t last long, if I remember correctly.

paristotokyo · 26/11/2025 01:37

@IDontHateRainbowsso actually, confession.. I just bought it 😂 the small travel set duo. I don’t have many vanillas as I didn’t bring my whole collection when I moved. So that’s me justifying it. An easy wear, regardless. Not sure how I can justify the tatcha holiday set I also got but oh well!

MiaN · 26/11/2025 07:00

Rare beauty perfume is very very similar to burberry goddess

Gris Charnel for me today. I rotate few perfumes a lot, depending on the season and this works for me best. However it's not great for chat

MiaN · 26/11/2025 07:49

I am letting go of few minies (gifting)
Lazy Sunday Morning, Phenalgin's Emressa and Coveted Duches Rose
Olypmea and Crystal Noir

Crystal noir is 😍 I've not tried some of the others. Will these be Christmas presents?
I've bought a lot of fragrance for my husband this year. I think because I've become obsessed, he's got to be too 🤣

JoRaRaRa · 26/11/2025 08:11

SOTD rare day in the office today, so I've gone with my go to perfume - Mon Guerlain 😍 I've been busy trying so many, it's nice to have a familiar smell 😁
