I’ve started getting Black Friday early access emails for 25% etc.

That's what I thought, would I actually just stop at the really expensive one or end up with them all still but more skint 🤣

The augustinus bader rich cream and the la mer oil are worth more than the calendar is now selling for. I've already bought these on vinted which is why I'm not snapping it up.

I don't think I would. As beautiful as some single brand ones are they get a bit boring. I learned this last year when I bought the most expensive Rituals one as my main calendar. It was nice but about a week in I was getting that feeling of 'oh look more Rituals'. 😂

IMO the HN ACs are right to be discounted. The fragrance one is full of tiny sizes and the brands aren’t great.

The beauty one seems repetitive of previous years BACs, and like many others pins their “worth £XX” on a couple of outrageously expensive, but in no way superior, products that very few would bother buying full price (eg AB).

It’s an easy pass for me but I hope it brings other prices down too.

I left the HN calendar in my basket and got a 10% off code about an hour later - doesn’t work on the calendar (or presumably other things that are discounted) but thought I’d flag it in case anyone is looking to buy something that’s full price on there.

As someone who bought the SNK first, and then went mad and bought the Diptyque as a special treat in October, I can confirm it has stopped me spending on any more BACS! I have it on display which reminds me how much I've spent! It doesn't mean I'm not still looking (and enjoying reading about others' purchases) but the purse strings are reigned in.

This is what I think. Too many teeny sizes that feel like a GWP to me. Also I've bought the fragrances off Vinted now

Id only buy if you are going to use these products and would contemplate paying around full price for them because you love them. Im debating the fragrance but not the beauty one. I got the besuty with 25% off and sold both these products on vinted at a reasonable price, £60 for both, but not much else is selling. Or maybe for pennies. Id also bought the blusher brush and eyelash curlers off vinted as I really wanted them. Now I have more. 🤣
The values there but not if you wouldn't use or gift imo. ♥️🥰 vinted is flooded atm. And people want things cheap. Not sure about Ebay as dont sell on there.

I bought the HN BAC at full price because there were four or five things I really wanted. I sold the rest, including the box and rich cream, on eBay and Vinted and have just about recovered the cost of the calendar, but I didn’t think I would at one point.

Re the HN BAC highlight products, Just finished the AB Rich Cream which I've been using for a couple of months (from last year's Liberty BAC), I have to say it hasn't made a noticeable difference to my complexion and my dry skin is looking even more dry ATM. I'd like to try to La Mer oil though.

I think even if they dropped it 50% I'd still hesitate on HN BAC. There's so much of it I wouldn't want to keep and I'm finding Vinted a hassle at the moment with postage issues - the couriers are swamped which causes issues with sales.

I've just had a £30 sale go missing for 2 weeks then eventually come back to me which means it's been refunded. Obvs nobody lost out in the end but it means I have to go through the hassle of trying to resell.

So for that reason alone I don't want a stockpile of stuff I don't want to keep.

I had the HN one last year, and loved it. This year's with the 30% off did tempt me to look, but there's only a couple of things I'd like/need, so I'll stick with the large pile of stuff I have, and maybe browse vinted 😁

Although there are lots of (helpful) 'enablers' on here, there are also lots of good reminders to check what I've actually got and need, which is great!

This is a tempting deal - I've been keeping an eye on their calendar, my skin loves quite a few of their products.

I don't also neeeeed a set as well though, so will just have to hope the calendar itself gets discounted a bit more somewhere.

That reminds me of my beautiful but dull White Company calendar. None of which really got used. I genuinely don't know what I was thinking. It was pretty and reduced, but yes, every day Oh look... more WC stuff got very boring very quickly.

So, for the first time, I have actually gone for one of the expensive single brand fragrance advent calendars. In the end I went for Jo Loves - I liked that the candles are 70g rather than 35g, that there were quite a few fragrances I haven’t tried and the ones I have are things I like, and finally the voucher to buy a full size fragrance of my choice. For me this all made it a better option than Diptyque. I’ve not taken it out its box yet, but actually really looking forward to opening it through December.

Full confession: I’ll also be opening Selfridges, so will have the multi-brand experience too.

I think it would be unlikely now as so many more bought. Glad you managed it. Takes the sting out of it being reduced now ♥️

I have ordered the HN fragrance. I think next year I will probably do the same as I have done this year, keep my beauty drop credit for libertys (although will I end up buying kits?) And get a fragrance except next year I will aim for look fantastic fragrance if they do one as I'd rather perfumes within my usual price range just incase I fall madly in love with one. Now I just have to work out if I'm going to use the 12 day fragrance before or after christmas.

I was waiting for this I bought all beauty instead for the 12 days of Christmas I can’t buy another I have 3 🤦‍♀️

Looking for help from this knowledgeable group please. Im looking for something similar to the Charlotte Tilbury chest for dd. I was going to get ct but realised I’ve bought a lot of the things in the chest separately and she’s very particular about her skincare. It doesn’t have to be a bac I’d just like something with the wow factor as she’s had a difficult few months. Thanks
