New thread! Will this be the last thread? I think it will last two weeks and we’ll finish on a round number 10. Though Black Friday deals may mean we burn through this and 10 onto 11 and 12!

I’ve started getting Black Friday early access emails for 25% etc.

Oh wow! I don't even eat cereal, but those are c-uuuute 😍

Talisin · 11/11/2025 22:22

I need a pink one. I'm fed up of my husband stealing my tools 🤣

Fleecy · 11/11/2025 21:22

I went to a Jarrolds loyalty evening this evening and they had the cereal box advent out. I think it's a nice calendar and the green outer is luckily just a sleeve. It's pale blue and gold inside. I bought it on launch day at the loyalty price so glad it's not further reduced. Yet! Came home with candles, limoncello and a 7.5ml Angel's Share as I love that this time of year. £31 with loyalty discount! It's so expensive but so lovely.

I was going to go! But I really need to not spend money, it’s the teen’s 18th in a couple of weeks, before payday FFS!! They’re not a fan of the beauty…

Peridot1 · 11/11/2025 22:39

There are some amazing calendars now. I’m going to send my sis the details of the Makita one for my BIL. he’d love it.

It’s my DH’s birthday this month and I usually get him a whiskey one. Which reminds me I need to order one.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 10/11/2025 22:06

I'll have a look at that and see if that makes it worth it.

Still loads in store at Birmingham and the GWP is full of teenies Lots of crackers and gift boxes. Can’t wait until the post Xmas sale.

IlovePond · 11/11/2025 23:21

That’s brilliant @Talisin !

Edited

So it could get discounted yet.

Branster · 11/11/2025 23:48

@Talisin I am speechless 😂😂😂
As it happens the thingymebob for drilling needs replacing. It's a hand held tool with a rechargeable battery and you change the drill or screwdriver bits at the top and you drill or use it as a screwdriver.
Can anyone tell if this AC is only full of accessories or does it come with a handheld drill thing? I can't understand what it all means. But a drill with bits it's something DH needs. He definitely absolutely doesn't want one and he'd rather not do any DIY ever, but it is useful, right?

Branster · 11/11/2025 23:55

Ooh I think I figured it out. I need to order the drill separately. So I might as well get the AC as a pre-cursor to a drill as part of DH's Christmas present.
I need to buy something from the world of ACs!
A bit like him getting me a set of cooking pans for Christmas I suppose. But I'll get him something he likes as well - no idea what yet.

New Look jewellery advent calendar. There’s a silver and a gold version. 25% off with BAGIT25 which applies site wide or might be in app www.newlook.com/uk/womens/accessories/jewellery/christmas-gold-jewellery-advent-calendar/p/936680393

Thanks very much, I've ordered one, it came down to £18.75. A perfect gift for my 16 year old niece who loves jewellery!

Ohh which whiskey calendar are you getting? I was looking at the Whiskey Exchange one for my dad today.

The Makita advent is all useful bits! I am picking up mine later for myself 🤣

Peridot1 · 12/11/2025 08:00

@XelaM - I usually get one from Masters of Malt. Haven’t actually looked yet to see what’s around. Best do that today,

They're having another one on Thursday 4th December, which I'm guessing will be after pay day? My DD loves pretty things and fragrance but because she's a student (UEA) she doesn't have a huge budget. She's happy to come with me and drink the cheap, free wine and get a lift back to campus afterwards!

Laithwaites have a whiskey ac. There's usually some sort of deal to be had with Laithwaites although I'm not sure what they are at the moment

Does anyone remember if Sephora's own brand was reduced last year? thinking about getting it for my 13 year old who is after skincare more than make up.

I had hoped to go to that but I’m going to see Rupert Everett at UEA, (which is also where I work and where I have just finished an MA!!) Small world!

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 12/11/2025 09:11

My F & M calendar arrived last night. Gosh it’s sooo pretty. And heavy!

Asked DH to check the contents for me and it took him ages as he was cross referencing the list of contents and opening each draw in turn. Took him ages! At one pint I hear bin mutter “I have no clue what half this shit even is” 🤣

That's so funny - and so Norfolk! I was very excited to see Rupert Everett was coming and disappointed that I couldn't go. Have seen Rebecca Kuang and James Ellroy previously. Have fun there! DD is studying creative writing and literature and it's such a good place to be. Totally off topic - sorry everyone else! Back to BACs...

My husband would be the same 🤣 I got him the Look fantastic one last year and had to write him a plan for all the products. It still took him until last month to realise that he uses the elemis cleanser instead of a face wash 🙈🤣 I'll probably have to do the same for the Liberty calendar I've bought him this year.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 12/11/2025 09:46

It’s so funny for some men isn’t it? DH is 50 soon and whilst well groomed anything beyond moisturiser and cleanser and he’s a bit 🤔. Although he does now get eye cream. When I suggested eye serum too he was “Isn’t that basically just the same thing?”!! I mean, he may have a point … !

My husband stumped me after the guerlain masterclass, he asked why after we've used all the glowy skincare products do we then matte it all down with powder? 😳🤣 I was like 'we just do!' 🤣
Yes, that sounds similar to my husband, he was using a serum and not putting on moisturiser as he thought they were the same thing 🤯

Thelifeofawife · 12/11/2025 10:32

My husband washes his face with water - that’s the extent of his facial care 😅 I’ve bought him the Clarins cracker so let’s see if that gets used.
Luckily for him he’s aging well and is a handsome devil, so doesn’t really need all the faff. Then again, he says the same about me but I strongly disagree 🙃

Thelifeofawife · 12/11/2025 10:36

@Talisin That DIY AC is great! I am tempted to get one for DS, and I like @Branster idea of getting a drill for the Christmas to top it off.
It would be wasted on DH, I do more DIY than him. Maybe I should treat myself to another AC 😏

owlpassport · 12/11/2025 10:48

I've twitched. I've gone for Glamour with the £20 off. I watched a Random Lifestyle Vlog unboxing and it convinced me that I wanted it enough not to wait for further discounts. I'd be disappointed if it sold out. There are some DoD for me, but the Rodial blush drops, Vieve palette and jewellery/claw clip make it worth the money for me alone and there are some other contents I'm interested in trying.

I always wonder if Paulina from RLV is on here waves
