When you say similar price are you taking into account the pre-spend for M&S?

If so the You beauty one is decent for £105
https://www.youbeautyshop.co.uk/products/advent-calendar-2025

Boots skincare is nice at £70
https://www.boots.com/24-days-of-skincare-advent-calendar-10372392

Next is £95
https://www.next.co.uk/style/su801037/f51513

ASOS has 25% off with code EXCLUSIVE on the app bringing it down to £75 ish
https://www.asos.com/asos-initiatives/asos-face-body-advent-calendar-2025-76-saving/prd/208218433#colourWayId-208218435

There's some codes floating around that take £10 off Glossybox I think (someone will have them here)
https://www.glossybox.co.uk/p/beauty-box/glossybox-2025-advent-calendar-worth-over-624/15913358/?

Thank you so much- I’ve just bought the ASOS one.
i didn’t even realise they did one but I love the variety.
M&S seem to be favouring so many of the same brands and products- there are 3 items that are hair thickening which I definitely do not need!
I’m happy to spend a bit more and have items that feel like more of a treat and that I will actually use.
Thanks again!

Is the HN fragrance normally all travel sizes?
I am pleased that I have Harrods as that feels like a treat to have full size alongside travel sizes.

Last year there were 2x30ml and 2x15ml. The rest ranged from 5-10ml. It totaled around 200ml between them all.

Thanks for the new thread @BakeOffRewatch

I’ve just caught up on the last few pages of the previous thread and the first few of this one.

@JoRaRaRa Sorry to hear about your cousin
@pinkchampagne1 I hope it’s positive news for your dad from here on out

I have definitely been distraction spending. And the threads are a great distraction too.
I’m usually quite careful with money and I felt a bit guilty about buying 2 BACs last year despite selling bits off that I didn’t want so overall probably spent just a bit over the cost of 1 BAC. This year I have bought 3, plus some bits off Vinted, plus recently bought a couple of edits.
I have also this afternoon purchased the HN fragrance calendar - I’m quite excited by this as it’s the first one I’ve purchased, I feel there’s a good range and I’ll be able to share some with DS. My only sight disappointment is that there’s no full size in there, but given that there’s 20 products I feel it’s well worth it

keepincool · 09/10/2025 19:49

Thanks for the new thread @BakeOffRewatch . My pissy chips have been chucked into the compost bin and I'm back to enjoying the chat and hearing everyone's thoughts on all things BAC related. As a newbie to the calendars I'm like a kid in a toy shop at the moment, but it will settle down.

We all have our own reasons for indulging ourselves in various ways - at the moment mine is purchasing clothes and beauty products after losing 4 stone in weight and getting back to the old 'me'. There's also a bit of AUdHD impulsiveness at play, but honestly, I’m quite happy that my current obsession is face masks and serums rather than some of the more hedonistic pursuits I dabbled in before (say no more...)

Big love to @JoRaRaRa , @pinkchampagne1, and everyone else finding a bit of joy and escapism in these threads. 💛

Doglover73 · 09/10/2025 19:58

Ive bought Typology and Manicurist advents this week. Got Liberty as had beauty drop vouchers to cover it. Not tempted by much else.
Unless ofcourse there are discounts, gwps, etc. 🤩

pinkchampagne1 · 09/10/2025 20:32

The Face the Future hydration edit was back in stock just now. Added to my basket and was pondering whether I actually needed it and then it was out of stock again. Probably for the best!

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 09/10/2025 20:55

I’m dipping my toe into Korean beauty and thinking of buying one of the advent calendars. Can those ‘in the know’ on here advise as to which one they think is best please? I’d really appreciate some advice. Thanks.

QueefofSheena · 09/10/2025 21:28

I’ve bought HNF today, that’s probably it for me. I’ve ruled out PDM, if it’s still available as I have a lot of small bottles of Delina. I was thinking of getting SNK frag and opening alternate days with HNF but I’m not sure there’s enough I don’t already have and one of the full sized doesn’t sound like I’d like it.

I like the look of the Anthropologie room scent one but it’s way too pricey to justify. I’ll be keeping an eye out for reductions on that just in case.

I really like the room scent one but it does feel overpriced. I hope it gets reduced. It's such a pretty box and I think I'd like everything in it but it's just so expensive for a household purchase 😕

Well done on the weight loss, that's amazing 😍 and thank you 🩷

Thank you 🩷 I'm struggling to catch up, I went to a christmas event with my mum (ate too much mince pie variations 🤢🤣) and now I'm struggling to catch up too.

I wish there was a full size too, or at least a bit more in some of them. A few are 5ml which I think is a bit mean 🤣 which 1 would you have FS if you could pick? I'd like the FDB sirene, I've tried it a few times in store now and sprayed it on myself and it's soooo lush 😍 I was actually toying with the idea of just getting myself a full bottle of that instead of the AC but temptation got the best of me 🤣

Oh, that's annoying, you'll have to get the sparkle edit instead 😉

ShesNeverSeenAShadeOfGray · 09/10/2025 23:21

I haven't really even looked at ACs until today; usually have long ordered by now, but not inspired at all this year after a decade of loving picking one out! Usually by a big one, like John Lewis or Liberty, but frankly, not feeling them at the moment. Although the JL box is lovely.

M&S is an odd one to have looked at today imo: products aren't as good as usual, very 'samey', and considerably more expensive than previous years. Essentially, you have to spend £100 just to get it. Don't think it's the good value it used to be.

Ordered my daughter Glossybox with cashback and discount as it's the one she said she wanted again.

Ordered one of my son's the MyProtein advent calendar with cashback.

ChannelLightVessel · 09/10/2025 23:38

I love these threads, even though I’m not really into beauty and haven’t bought a BAC (yet?) this year. I just enjoy the positivity.

viccabelle · 10/10/2025 02:20

I have an £85 off £200 spend voucher on Tiktok and want to buy an advent.
My options are: Debenhams, ok beauty, the beauty crop and beauty Bay.
I might be able to get 2, or top up to £200 with some other bits but I'm keen to hear thoughts about the above. 🙏

HollyGolightly4 · 10/10/2025 02:51

I'm tempted to buy m and s this weekend, because I need some trousers. Is there such a thing as Nadvent? 🤣 I don't think I can wait till Jadvent.

I’ve only seen two, the yepoda and Stylevana. Out of the two I’d go for stylevana personally because I’d prefer to try different brands (and also the yepoda contains quite a few fillers imo). But I still wasn’t sold on the stylevana… there may be others that have since been released but I’m not looking at any more calendars until next year!

@AppleDumplingWithCustard Stylekorean also did one last year, Miss Boux has an unboxing.
no details have been released if they are doing another, think last year it was for sale late October / Novermber

Just been reading back a bit and sending hugs to @JoRaRaRa and @pinkchampagne1 and anyone else in need.
I lost my mum very suddenly at the beginning of the year. There is definitely an element of grief/distraction spending for me, as well as fuck it spending. She was healthy, and then one day she wasn’t and then just a short time later she had died. Just makes me think that although I will continue to be generally careful with money a few splurges on things I want if I can afford them are ok. Also she had bought me my first spendy advent calendar after we saw them whilst Christmas shopping together last year and I had said how much I wanted it and how beautiful it was but couldn’t justify it so there are some nice memories wrapped up in as well.

I generally live a very quiet and simple life and am not at all high maintenance beauty wise but I am an absolute sucker for skin products that smell and feel nice. I’m the same with drinks tbh, just using a nice glass or mug makes everyday feel more special and makes me happy!

Last thing if anyone sees an empty dipytique box being sold pleeease let me know because it is so beautiful and I mainly covet it for the box so would consider buying that for a diy next year.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 10/10/2025 06:55

Help. I've lost a bookmark. I know I had shortlisted a 'reasonably priced' BAC and I know we talked about it on the last thread. It was linked to via a magazine subscription link so I'm guessing it was beauty magazine related. I think it came down to £79ish? I thought I'd bookmarked it. Does this ring any bells with anyone?

Not sure they are at that price mark but the two I can recall linked to magazine subscriptions are Elle and Grazia and maybe You beauty as well along with Hannah Martin and Ok.

Oh I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your lovely mum.

I agree with you that life is too short not to treat yourself to a few things that make you happy. ♥️ I hope you have found yourself a lovely calendar this year.

HollyGolightly4 · 10/10/2025 07:23

Sending lots of love to those of you grieving 💕

Ah it was Elle. I think it came down to £89 ot something but it's back to £130. I'll keep an eye.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 10/10/2025 07:29

Also sending lots of love to those who have suffered such sadness and loss. Flowers

Also @keepincool well done on the 4 st weight loss. I've also lost the same and have had a wild time on Vinted getting new clothes. Also, I hear you as I'm AuDHD too and I have to try and keep myself in check. I know when I switch from happy shopping to feeling stressed then it's time to take a step back.
