Talking of HN I am in a bit of a situation…. I bought it and then saw the 15% discount so emailed them. They snottily told me to get lost so I asked for returns info. I was emailed a returns label which I used. BAC duly returned via my friendly postie. Then another email from HN CS arrives saying sorry we don’t accept returns and sorry we can’t give you the discount! So I’ve replied saying BAC is on its way thanks to the label you sent and never mind 15% but I’ve seen you’re offering 25% now.
I have no idea what’s going on now. Their CS replies 24 hours after a message and is clearly overseas so maybe they’ve not been briefed.
maybe I was being grabby but I felt a bit cheated and just wanted a small discount or even credit note to appease me. I hope I can get my money back as never seen that BAC are unreturnable!

@shinny - have you contacted HN again? Even if they sent you a returns note in error, they can’t keep both the returned calendar AND your money!

I’ve emailed HN. Based on @shinny experience I suspect I’ll be told to sling it, but worth a try.

@shinny Now that you have returned your BAC they have no choice but to refund you. If it goes against their returns policy they shouldn’t have sent a returns label to you, it’s their error

I also like the HN art style.

The Vogue calendar is already released isn't it? It just shows different options for posting dates (the earlier October dates for shipping are now gone, but late Oct still available)

I’m really tempted by Look Fantastic now, having not even considered it and doing a good job loving checking in with this thread every day but sitting on my hands and NOT BUYING ANY MORE! Does anyone have a discount code to push me over the edge in a co-conspirator enabling way?!

Sorry to those battling with HN. It’s rubbish when they discount but don’t offer to recompense earlier purchases.

John Lewis have got some great looking beauty boxes on early access for Rewards members but they are showing as out of stock. Have they gone already? I only got an email about them yesterday.

Same. I only saw the email this morning. Rushed to look. Loved 1 or 2 of them, but they're showing as out of stock.

@Biscuitburglar I checked the app within 10 mins of getting the email yesterday and the Beauty Heroes one had already gone. The luxury one went within a couple of hours. I guess keep an eye out to see if they come back, early access implies they will be available to everyone at some point so maybe they'll source more. They don't usually go that quickly.

PS I got the HN discount email. I had the BAC in my basket but hadn’t checked out, so maybe that was the criteria. And I had already bought the fragrance one too.

That's really rubbish about HN's customer service 😡

In contrast, I nagged my husband to complain to pdm about them changing the welcome gift to the Valaya body cream and perfume after he'd ordered the countdown calendar for me with only a 5ml perfume welcome gift. Well, this morning we have received the Valaya body cream, 5ml perfume and a sample for him 😍 I'm super impressed with their customer service. I did end up doing the complaint myself as my husband refused to 🤣

I wish I'd bought the luxe one now. I hummed and ahhhh'd for too long 🙈 mainly because I wanted the heroes one and the luxe one was second choice but also because I keep looking at the cult beauty skin edit and the face the future sparkle edit.

I bought the lux one. Mostly because I wanted the La Mer cream which is the same one in the Vogue calendar but I didn't want to buy Vogue to try it.

The Jarrold’s cereal box has arrived.

Pleased to report the hideous design is an outer sleeve covering a pale teal plain box, with Jarrold’s branding on the closure. Phew!

I bloody hope so! I must say I’ve been lusting after Liberty now as I’m obviously completely done with HN (unless I don’t get my money back & have to reaccept the BaC 😫).

That’s really good! Maybe I should message them again. After you said you’d received the 5ml welcome gift, I emailed them and they sent me a 5ml bottle of my choice, but no body cream 🤔

Annoying that HN didn’t just discount their advent for everyone. I have a friend at work who has had it in the past and has trying to decide between HN and a few others. She would definitely had gone for it with the discount.

My OK advent has arrived this morning and I've just opened it. Obviously a lower end AC but I think the value is incredible. A nice festive sturdy box too, although the drawers are a little flimsy but for less than £100 that's okay.

Did you order it online or buy it in a shop? Unless the UK has gotten rid of the EU law on distance selling (I think UK naturalised that one but I'm not sure), you are entitled to return anything bought online within 28 days, although you must inform them within 14 days of your intention and return within 14 days of informing them. They then have 14 days to refund you so long as you have proof of postage.
