This is one plus side of them all coming out so early, it gives us all time to forget 🤣 my new thing is to try to remember what's in my advent calendar to try to sleep at night, I usually only make it to day 3 or 4 then I struggle to remember and fall asleep 🤣

@XelaM - I always look at unboxings/lists of contents before purchase anyway because there’s so much stuff I have no use for, (brow serums, powder, tanning stuff, spot patches, etc., etc., etc.), and I don’t want to waste my money.

I didn’t used to check the actual calendar once I had purchased it, but a couple of times I have had stuff missing or damaged so I do now. This is the first year it’s occurred to me to take out things I loathe, (looking at you, sparkling Jo perfume!) and replace with other stuff. Previously I just used to be ‘sad’ on the day when I wasn’t going to like/use an item.

I won’t look again and have completely forgotten many of the drawers.

I think it’s different if someone has gifted you a calendar - I wouldn’t look then.

It really is, I only got the HN beauty because it was reduced as I already have Harrods & SNK, the extra discount would have made it more justifiable. That said, I’m sure once I start unboxing I won’t care, I’ll just be excited by the products.

I keep forgetting that I’ve also ordered the YSL fragrances. I need to go on a spending ban now. I have nowhere to put anything and at this rate, everyone will be getting my beauty cast offs for Xmas because I’ve spent all my money 😅

I do think it’s bizarre that HN haven’t offered 25% off the a/c to any customer.

They clearly can’t shift that ugly, creepy box at full price, but I am sure it would have sold out today if anyone browsing the site could get 25% off rather than it just being sent to people who registered for the waitlist.

I seem to be very much in the minority but I like HN box. I got the discount email and have succumbed. I hope they do a similar fragrance discount.

I wouldn’t have bought it anyway as I already have three ACs. This is someone who wasn’t going to buy any this year. 🙄

I tested the Malin and Goetz Strawberry perfume in Selfridges today, which is in the SNK calendar. To me it smelt overwhelmingly of fresh grass cuttings, or grass after the rain. Anyone else tried it? It wasn't for me unfortunately.

Did any of you get free shipping with your Harvey Nichols advent? The advent page says free delivery but then charges me £4.50 at checkout :/

Yeah I read that it was more green smelling then fruity strawberry smell so I sold it 🤣 the JHAG miami shake is more strawberry smelling 🩷

🤣 I like the design of the box, it reminds me of Picasso paintings, the actual box has a bow on it and is pink and red 😊 I just can't get over the odd amount of pink and red drawers in the fragrance calendar 😕

@Thelifeofawife i keep forgetting what I've ordered too, another perfume from vinted arrived today that I'd completely forgotten about 🤦🏻‍♀️ At Christmas, we can just let people know that their presents are that we have healthy glowing skin and smell beautiful 🤣 I'm sure they won't mind 💁🏻‍♀️

I would contact them and ask them to refund the difference. If customer service can't do it I'd probably buy another with the discount and return one to get the full price refund.

Normally I can accept losing out a bit but if I'd bought this I'd consider it too much money to let it go tbh.

I'm the queen of buying something that's gone down in price and returning it on the old receipt - and I can't be the only one.

It's a very long time since I actually opened a BAC during Advent, one day at a time. I'm a rip it open when it lands kind of girl now.

@TreesinthePark @IDontHateRainbows I got it for 15% off, but now it’s £25% off that’s quite a difference. I only bought it a week ago.
I don’t think they will offer me the difference back though if they are only sending the offer to certain people. I had signed up to the waitlist but obviously I bought it since.

The HN BAC artist is Jacky Blue, I quite like her style of art - gives fashion designer sketch vibes.

Not sure what the criteria for getting the discount was, I wasn't signed up to the waitlist, I have an account but I probably have only bought from them once in the past five years, I wonder if it was random or aimed at people who don't shop there often?

Hoping Vogue gets reduced, although not too hopeful. They have such a late release date.

I wonder if the HN was targeted at people who put the advent in their basket then left without purchasing. I got the email and this is something I do a lot when pondering or even looking, so it’s easier to re-look later. I was also on the waitlist, rewards member etc.
