Thanks @IlovePond ! It’s taken 4 years to get this far so it’s a brilliant feeling :)

OftenOrange · 23/12/2025 11:55

There are quite a lot of new items on sale today , I’d been looking for the v neck windowpane check top yesterday and was disappointed it wasn’t on sale .
It’s there now and also lots of accessories.
@Yorkshirelass04 I ordered the striped Taro yesterday , love the look on others but not sure it’ll work for me being so long .

faustina · 23/12/2025 13:28

@hicat - a Toastie baby - how lovely - congratulations!

mizu · 23/12/2025 13:55

Saw the binding check skirt this morning and thought it might be the thing I buy as the denim dress I want isn’t in the sale - I’ve been out and about and now oos in M !! Signed up for a back in stock email. I’m a 10-12 more of a 12 so guessing m?

TosstTastic · 23/12/2025 14:27

Congrats @hicat on the baby news. I remember feeling so tired at the 12 week stage but it not being public news. I think the first person I told was the bra fitter in John Lewis, burst into tears I was so grateful for a reason behind my utter exhaustion but with the side effect of new massive boobs.

I think you could probably rock a lot of Toast clothes over the coming months. Enjoy!

mizu · 23/12/2025 15:04

@hicat congratulations, such great news. I too remember utter exhaustion at that stage.

hicat · 23/12/2025 16:14

Aw thanks @mizu @faustina and @TosstTastic :) I have a cold and have never had less energy in my life hah! trying to get the house ready for christmas visitors. Luckily the historic plaster from the newly stripped walls give quite a nice Toast aesthetic!

and yes! lots of room in loads of toast clothes, though wore my very favourite blue summer camp dress on my birthday and the boobs were quite a queeze! I wonder if they'll go back to normal eventually...

Countmeout · 23/12/2025 17:08

That’s lovely news @hicat . Agree lots of Toast things could work.

ShrankLastWinter · 23/12/2025 21:52

That’s wonderful, @hicat!

MiracleToast · 23/12/2025 23:01

Congratulations @hicat sending you so much toasty love ♥️

Let's compare notes when it comes through! According to my kibbe type I should be wearing items with long lines, which makes Toast a 50/50 match for me. I also struggle with the autumn colours in Toast being a true summer.

ScottishMouse · 24/12/2025 09:07

I tried to hack the Christmas-things-reduced-only-after-Christmas system and got a sale order in before it actually went live, hoping to get some crackers for tomorrow by paying for express delivery.
Much later in the day, I placed another order with regular delivery. That order has just been delivered, but the one with the crackers is still showing as at the central mail centre in Edinburgh! My parcel post usually comes late afternoon, so this was very early. I wonder if Royal Mail will do a second parcel delivery today, or this karma?

OrangeyLemon · 24/12/2025 09:52

Wow you’ve had an order delivered @ScottishMouse! I ordered early on when the Kindred went live but nothing has even been despatched yet! Bit disappointing. I ordered everything in separate parcels as last time I ordered in the sale a parcel with one item arrived quickly, but I had to wait ages for a parcel with two items. I was wondering if this was karma for me trying to get the better of the system. I think your crackers will arrive today 😊

ScottishMouse · 24/12/2025 10:09

Well, I didn’t expect anythin g @OrangeyLemon, as I received no Royal Mail notifications. And I certainly didn’t expect the one ordered late on Monday with standard postage. Weird but karmic.

ScottishMouse · 24/12/2025 14:10

The crackers arrived!! Along with everything else. I have had a try on, so can report on some things…
-The short boiled wool coat is more blue and less navy than I hoped. It also has two of the buttons hanging off and was folded weirdly so is not hanging right. It does look promising on though, so I may keep.
-The hooded duffle coat does not suit me thankfully @IlovePond. It also has the pockets sewn on unevenly so one is about an inch higher than the other!
-The velvet bolster cushion was not packed well either, so I need to let that sit for a bit to see if the marks from the box come out of the velvet.
-The light grey flower mountain trainers are a maybe. I had tried them and rejected them a good while ago, but now can’t remember why I didn’t keep them. They seem comfy on first try but I have very tricky feet so will need to try again.
-The stripe block print pyjama trousers are going back. The fabric is really uninteresting, somewhat transparent, and despite saying they are cropped, they are too long on me.
-The mohair fairisle yoke sweater in green (where is the green, this is surely grey?) is an unexpected winner. I tried it last year and was between sizes, but the upside of some slight weight gain this year means the s/m now fits perfectly. The only question is whether I need more knitwear…
-The wood block printing kit will probably stay, although I should be realistic and accept that I am not a crafty person and I will likely never use it.

I was surprised to see the charcoal batwing mohair cardigan in the sale. Maybe nobody bought at the ridiculous full price. I did buy it as I loved it soooo much, but after a couple of wears I ended up bringing it back to the store as the buttonholes were all far too wide and the buttons would not stay closed. I assumed it was just a faulty one, but all the others they had in the store were the same, so I didn’t bother to take another. Now that it is reduced, I am wondering if I should re-purchase and put a stitch in the buttonholes….🤔

IlovePond · 24/12/2025 15:19

It’s disappointing @ScottishMouse that the cost and other things are faulty and/or packed wrongly - I wouldn’t expect that from any retailer, but certainly not one with Toast’s. prices.

Glad you liked the jumper!

ScottishMouse · 24/12/2025 15:25

It’s very annoying @IlovePond, but sadly is not the first time with Toast. It was a very big box I guess because of the shoes and the bolster cushion, but everything had been kind of thrown into it rather than neatly folded and extra packing put into the spaces to stop things moving about. They could definitely work on their packing I feel.

ScottishMouse · 24/12/2025 15:30

Forgot to include the peacoat in my update. I ordered that too, and had completely forgotten I had done so. The indigo cotton wool one from last year, it has now disappeared from the sale. It looks good, though I am not sure about the textured (almost ribbed) fabric. I’m worried it might pill too. Annoyingly, I can’t go back to read the reviews as it is oos. Does anyone have it and can advise on pilling? It’s this one…

Happy Christmas 🎄 - I will not be spending it checking for back in stock notifications for the binding check skirt in M 😁

ScallopShellWalk · 24/12/2025 17:34

Merry Christmas to you all. I hope you also have found the sale fun.
Big congratulations @hicat what wonderful news. 🤗🥰

I have this coat, bought in the last sale and I absolutely love it … mine hasn’t pilled, still looks as good as new.

Snowyowl78 · 25/12/2025 10:01

@ScottishMouse i also have the pea coat as well as the boiled one! It’s lovely and hasn’t pilled. Although I do have 4 toast wool coats so I don’t wear each of them constantly. I love them all!

Snowyowl78 · 25/12/2025 10:04

I can’t believe some of the things that haven’t gone into the sale- the cotton canvas waistcoat! It’s surely a summer item and it’s still full price! Also disappointed the socks are only about 20% reduced. An £18 pair of socks is still very expensive.
