I have started a new thread for all things Toast related !

Just to note, sale prices aren't showing on items in my Saved list or already in my basket, only on items accessed via the sale page listings. I can add a sale item to my basket and it sits separately from the same full price item already there. This is after logging out and in again. No escaping having to scroll through hundreds of sale page items and waiting for the inevitable crash and reload partway through!

IlovePond · 23/12/2025 07:43

Thanks @ScottishMouse - was it the stripy one reduced to £45 that you didn’t get on with? They do look narrow in the body.

Are we talking about the same coat? Mine is the navy wool hooded coat reduced to £385.

Snowyowl78 · 23/12/2025 07:45

@ScottishMouse I have the short boiled wool one and I love it! It’s a lot more stylish that is looks online. Mine hasn’t pilled, and the s/m is good for me, usually a toast 12.

ScottishMouse · 23/12/2025 07:46

Ah sorry @IlovePond no, it was the one with the pocket on the front that comes in brass and off-white.

And yes, that’s the coat I ordered. Also ordered the short boiled wool one, planning to keep only one, but now I’m worried that neither will work. I can’t abide pilling and would want the coat to work hard for me, so it sounds like it would be a fail.

Stoic123 · 23/12/2025 07:48

Morning all.

Went back in as had a sudden urge to get a spring coat to wear with jeans - trying the Ash Blue Cotton Canvas and the Brown Slate Cotton Velvet (the one you ordered @Yorkshirelass04 ).

I vaguely remember trying on the green version of the cotton canvas one and think I found it a bit too artist' smock for me - but it's still drawing me in and the blue is a better colour for me.

IlovePond · 23/12/2025 07:48

Thanks @ScottishMouse - I hope one of the coats works for you. I don’t know why Toast are struggling to make tops that fit atm. T shirts have become much more problematic for me since the ‘new’ sizing.

OP posts:
IlovePond · 23/12/2025 07:52

I’ve given the T shirts a miss and gone for both skirts instead. I decided it was better to order both at once than to try them one at a time. I will return immediately if they are not perfect!

I’ve gone for the darker flower mountain trainers in the sale. Anyone know if they have good longevity?

Nothing on my lists appeared, nor anything I’ve bought recently which is always a relief really. but nothing I had my eye on either (well, two things but they already don’t have my size).

IlovePond · 23/12/2025 08:02

@hicat - I have those trainers. I haven’t worn them much, but they still look as new.

ScottishMouse · 23/12/2025 08:10

I have the black check skirt @IlovePond and I love it. Very versatile and works right through the seasons imo.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 23/12/2025 08:17

I'm disappointed with the sale as, once again, sadly lacking in homeware. I’ve ordered a skirt, a tee (which I now suspect will be too tight on the bust) and the navy Kantha waistcoat, to add to my growing collection of toast tanks, gilets and waistcoats which I have found really useful. I haven’t even ordered any socks, unheard of for me!
My order seems to have been fulfilled already, although I haven’t had a dispatch email.

IlovePond · 23/12/2025 08:17

Thanks @ScottishMouse - I’m glad I’m giving it a go now! I get on better with those skirts with elasticated waists and I like a longer length nowadays!

Countmeout · 23/12/2025 08:47

@IlovePond I have ordered the black binding check skirt too. I saw it in an actual shop in August and loved the fabric. I’ve ordered the top too but not sure it will work for me. The brass T with the pocket , I had hopes for this but it is not as soft as the T-shirts . I love the long sleeves, I bought it when it first came out and kept it but tend to only wear it round the house or under a jumper. I bought it in M I think and found it generously sized.

Other buys - I bought gloves which when I read back might be men’s and I have smallish hands. Socks in a colour I wanted. I was disappointed the quilted trousers weren’t in the sale but as they are this seasons not surprising.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 23/12/2025 09:38

@Countmeout I was hoping for the quilted trousers too (in navy) , but they’ve sold out in my size anyway. I bought the shirt when it first came out and tried the trousers then. I decided I couldn’t justify all that expenditure, now I’m kicking myself as they were really comfortable.

ThePieceHall · 23/12/2025 10:11

A newbie here but an oldie Toastie. I went for the Suki trousers in the dark navy, mainly as an insurance replacement for the identical pair I bought earlier in the year and have worn to death, the Fracap monkey boots as I know from experience that they will be super-comfortable, the crinkle gown, and the navy jersey trousers.

IlovePond · 23/12/2025 10:22

@ThePieceHall - if that’s the black crinkle, I have it in green and also orange and I love them both!

@Countmeout - we can compare notes on the skirt when our parcels arrive! The matching top is nice too. I’d be interested to see what they look like together IRL.

I have had a despatch note for the nightwear and trousers I ordered yesterday so am thinking they will probably arrive on Saturday or Monday.

Have bought the wool skirt in black/ecru- should look good with boots and thick tights
tank in red/sorrel but not convinced re colour
crew neck tee- should be nice and soft.

faustina · 23/12/2025 10:26

I spotted that brass tee last night and I'm taking a gamble on that one too. Have ordered two sizes after your reviews on here

I've heard of Toast coats bobbling too, inc a peacoat I had once. Maybe it's the finish? I've had plenty of other coats with very high wool content (like a Joseph double face wool/cashmere) and they are generally bobble free for years and years

@Stravaig I always filter things in order of interest, eg trousers, then jumpers etc. It stops my laptop from getting stressed out

IlovePond · 23/12/2025 10:33

Yes @faustina - my coat is a bit peacoat-y in finish!

OP posts:
VivienneDelacroix · 23/12/2025 10:48

I've also ordered the black binding check skirt and shirt! It seems to be a popular choice.
I also ordered the cashmere blend dress, as I've had my eye on that for a while.
There was a hat I really hoped would be in the same, but it isn't and I'm not minded to pay £85 for a hat.

I am about to return a size small pair, in case that’s what you’re looking for! I had to reorder in medium. Def sign up for the back in stock notifications! It’ll be loads of Christmas presents (as were mine) and some will be getting returned!

id love the shirt but will wait for the sale price, presumably closer to summer!

Countmeout · 23/12/2025 11:23

Was the sizing small @hicat ? I want the stone in them so will wait and see if they are reduced at some point.
Some of the reviews for the binding skirt say it’s scratchy but I don’t remember if that was the feel of it.I am just pleased it is so well reduced because I thought it was very spendy.

hicat · 23/12/2025 11:31

I can’t tell @Countmeout , some of my clothes are fitting a bit tighter at the moment as I’m 13 weeks, but even if I ignored it being tight on the waist the legs felt a bit restrictive. Sized up and both issues have resolved without them being ridiculously barrelled on me. I will say I ordered two size small of a pair of the same elasticated waist cords and one fit perfectly and one the elastic was uncomfortably tight. Not unusual for toast!

IlovePond · 23/12/2025 11:32

Congrats @hicat !

OP posts:
Theteapotsbrokenspout · 23/12/2025 11:32

@hicat It’s the medium I’m after - I tried them on when I bought the shirt so I know that’s the right size. I’ve signed up for a back in stock notification now, so fingers crossed.
